1. Evaluation Question 4 HOW DID YOU USE MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES IN THE CONSTRUCTION, PLANNING, RESEARCH AND EVALUATION STAGES?

2. MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES - INTERNET THE INTERNET PLAYED A BIG PART IN HELPING US WITH OUR RESEARCH AND PLANNING IT ALLOWED US TO ACCESS THINGS SUCH AS SHORT FILMS (AND SHORT FILM COMPANIES WEBSITES), FILM POSTERS, GENRE AND NARRATIVE INFORMATION, AUDIENCE RESEARCH AND ALSO FILM MAGAZINES

3. MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES - BLOGGER To present our work we used the website blogger. We set up a blog at the beginning of the year and have used it to upload our work, from our research to production work. This has proved to be very useful as it allows us to present our work in new and creative ways and also gives us somewhere that we can store and show off our work online.

4. MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES - BLOG As I mentioned previously the blogs allow us to present our work in new and creative ways. One of these ways is by creating a Prezi, an online mind map. Another way is by using Slideshare to upload power points that we have created. YouTube also gave us a new way to present our work, as we could record ourselves talking about the work we have created and then upload it to YouTube so that we can embed it to our blog.

5. MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES - RESEARCH We used various methods to research into short films, Websites such as Virgin shorts allowed us to view short films and see what kind of techniques that people have used when creating there short films.

6. MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES – AUDIENCE PROFILE By using the internet, we were able to gather information on audience profiling. This helped us to gather a better understanding of audiences across the world rather than that of the people around us, this allowed us to create an accurate audience profile for our short film.

7. MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES – MAGAZINE ARTICLE We also were able to use the internet to gain access to old copies of magazine articles , this helped us to see what techniques are used in creating a successful magazine article in a mainstream film magazine, such as Empire.

8. MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES - POSTER We used the internet to gain access to posters of other films, short and feature length, so that we could look at conventions and techniques that films with the same genre as our short film used. This helped us to decide what techniques to use on the poster and what made a successful.

9. MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES – SHORT FILM To create the short film, we used the editing software final cut pro. We started by creating a animated storyboard of the short film so that we could gain some practice with the software and also plan the real film.

10. MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES – SHORT FILM To create the film we used High Definition Canon Video Camera, This allowed us to film in a good quality. By using Youtube, after we had finished editing, we could upload our Short Film and audience feedback, which then enabled to embed the videos on our blog.

11. MEDIA TECHNOLOGY - AUDIO To create the audio and music for our short film used the software garage band. This software allows you to create your own music by mixing samples together.

12. MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES - PHOTOSHOP The poster and magazine article were created using Adobe CS4 package, specifically photoshop, which allowed us to easily add text and images to our poster and also use techniques that allowed us to play with the images, such as make it black and white.
