8.  Bangladesh is the 2nd largest Ready Made Garments Exporter in the world
after China. About 83% of foreign exchange are coming from the Ready
Made Garments (RMG) in Bangladesh.
 Bangladesh Export Golden fibre Jute and mosline fabric
 There were 9 export oriented garments in 1978 earned 1 Million Dollar.
After that four pioneer garments such Reaz Garments, Paris Garments,
Jewel Garments, Boishakhi Garments etc.
 In 1960 Reaz Garments estabkished in Dhaka and they started their
journey as a small tailoring outfits. Their named was “Reaz Store in
Dhaka”
 In 1978 Reaz Garments export 10 000 pieces of Shirt to France, earned 13
Million France. That was the first exporter of Apparel from Bangladesh.
 Desh Garments Ltd, the first non-equity joint-venture in the garment
industry was established in 1979. Desh had technical and marketing
collaboration with Daewoo Corporation of South Korea. It was also the
first hundred percent export-oriented company. It had about 120
operators including 3 women trained in South Korea, and with these
trained workers it started its production in early 1980.
 Day by day Bangladesh Ready Made Garments Sector making it a
prestigious brand across the globe. Day by day export system is increase
and this Fiscal Year Bangladesh export 52.08 Billion dollar worth Ready
Made Garments.

34. The readymade garments industry acts as a catalyst for the
development of Bangladesh.
The "Made in Bangladesh" tag has also brought glory to the country,
making it a prestigious brand across the globe.
Bangladesh, which was once termed by cynics a "bottomless basket"
has now become a "basket full of wonders." The country with its
limited resources has been maintaining a 6% annual average GDP
growth rate and has brought about remarkable social and human
development.
We hope our country will do excellent pefomance in future by Textile
