5. Brand identity
We chose to use a font similar to the ITV font as this was the
channel we intended our soap to be shown on, how ever for our
soap logo we tried to use a street sign similar to coronation street.
6. Brand identity
Facial expression/ body
language very similar
throughout the product
The brand is identifiable across
the products due to the mise en
scene, characters costumes and
facial expressions.
7. Genre • Gritty
• Low saturation images
• Adult audience
The genre of my products
are easily recognisable as
through the mise en
scene, actors body
language, the language
used and the narratives of
the trailer. The time of
programme also suggest to
the genre as it is a common
time for soaps to be aired.
This is because it is when
the family's have got home
from work, eaten there tea
and sat down to relax
watching television, this
maximizes viewing
potential.
8. Bill board
The branding of our bill board is fairly
low key with only the ITV logo on
there and then just in an ITV font
George Street and a strap line
however this is the convention of an
ITV advertisement as you can see on
the bottom left with the only the
name strapline and logo on the page
apart from the picture.
9. TRAILER
I researched into the conventions of ITV advertisement’ and I found
that they rarely use an actual branding of the soap they just put the
soaps name in there font on a plain title card. As you can see below
10. Audience/ institution
• From past audience research I tried to ensure that the same audience was being
addressed through all the media products I created
• I used the same fonts in the trailer and on the bill board to help create a strong ITV
branding however I used a different house font on the TV magazine but I did use the
house colours of ITV for the magazine, black yellow and white.
• The 3 of the main characters were consistent throughout each of the products
• Through using the house styles i addressed the same ITV.
11. Institution- ITV
• My soap is perfect for ITV as
it follows many of the story
lines they use in there soaps.

12. Representing a region
I used a street name for my trailer to
create a regional representation and to
conform with the genre coronation
street’s audience’s know the location of
this soap- Manchester similarly they
know Eastenders is set in London. The
audience use this prior knowledge to
guess the location of my soap.
Here you can see the street
sign we used in our trailer
along with the phone box we
used. The area we used had
similar look to coronation
street which we felt
represented Manchester
correctly. With the pub and
terraced houses representing
working class inner city
Manchester.
