3. Insoluble Fiber
◈ Doesn't dissolve in water
◈ Promotes the movement of materials in our intestines.
◈ Help to treat constipation problem (Increase the volume of stool)
◈ May helps in IBS and colon cancer (Increase the survival in people with colon
cancer)
◈ Insoluble ber is found in Whole-wheat our, wheat bran, nuts, beans and vegetables, such as
cauli ower, green beans and potatoes.

4. Soluble Fiber
◈ Can easily dissolves in water & broken down into gel type
◈ Lower cholesterol level (Decreasing cholesterol reabsorption process inside our small
intestine)
◈ Feeding healthy gut bacteria (Fiber will fermentable in the colon, can help bacteria survive
longer)
◈ May also help in treating Diabetes & Insulin resistant (Prediabetes) – Slow down the
absorption of Carbs, prevent sugar spike after eating.
◈ Soluble ber is found in oats, peas, beans, apples, citrus fruits, carrots, barley and psyllium.

5. Addition
◈ Some fruits or vegetables will contain both soluble & insoluble ber, just di erent in
ratio.
Eg: Psyllium has 70% soluble and 30% insoluble.
◈ Dietary ber is vegetable or animals tissues
