5. WHAT IS INNOVATION?
1. Innovation is a process of translating an idea or invention into
a good or service that creates value.
2. To be called an innovation, an idea must satisfy a specific
need.
3. Innovation involves a deliberate application of information,
imagination and initiative in deriving greater or different values
from resources, and includes all processes by which new ideas
are generated and converted into useful products.
4. Innovation is a significant positive change that can apply to
people.

6. INNOVATION CATEGORIES:
1.Evolutionary Innovations (continuous or
dynamic evolutionary innovation) that are
brought about by many incremental
advances in technology or processes.
2.Revolutionary Innovations (also called
discontinuous innovations) which are
often disruptive and new.

7. HOW TO BE MORE INNOVATIVE:
1.In aiming for innovation, surround
yourself with those that think differently
than you.

perspectives than what you would be

1. Engaged Learning: Learning that encourages students to be

information and ideas presented to them. Common forms of
