Situation The customer was extremely frustrated and was threatening to cancel their account and take their business elsewhere. My task was to calm the customer down and find a resolution to their issue in order to retain their business. Task I began by actively listening to the customer and acknowledging their concerns. I then researched their account to see if there was a way to resolve their issue and offered a solution that would benefit both the customer and the company. Action The customer was pleased with the solution and decided to stay with the company. They even complimented me on my customer service skills and said they would recommend our company to their friends and family.
