problem areas; standards; supplier engagement
3a. Employability skills-match and data service: (Short and medium term) Employer demand-driven skills
discovery service empowering students; developing into an employability data service
3b. Learner cradle to grave data service (long term): Lifelong online student data service supporting mobility.

1. Individual stages of the lifecycle:
Institution’s maturity varied when focusing on a particular stage of the
lifecycle e.g. assessment and feedback, timetabling, and learner
analytics. Thus Project 1 output will include information, advice and
guidance on resources for each specific stage of the student life cycle.
2. Cross-cutting themes across stages of the lifecycle:
Staff skills/competencies–leadership, digital literacies, embracing
data
A more joined-up approach–integrated systems, breaking down
silos, information strategies
Infrastructure–working more effectively with suppliers, up-to-date
IT infrastructure
How to identify Student Lifecycle pain
points ?
1. Map the Student Lifecycle
2. Define various student personas
3. Ask students and staff where the pain is
4. Agree Jisc solutions to solves these pain
points

Need to manifest value for money in the student experience. Institutional and national viability of provision due to poor and piecemeal student experience. Better institutional articulation of offer/competitive advantage. Better informed student decisions; enhanced student opportunities and satisfaction. Better informed stakeholders and national agencies. Institutional, regional and national efficiencies. 1. Mapping & optimising the student journey: (Supporting project), capturing use cases and student profiles through institutions’ lifecycle analysis to identify problem areas 2. Data model and system integration solutions (short and medium term): Minimum data sets; solutions in problem areas; standards; supplier engagement 3a. Employability skills-match and data service: (Short and medium term) Employer demand-driven skills discovery service empowering students; developing into an employability data service 3b. Individual stages of the lifecycle: Institution’s maturity varied when focusing on a particular stage of the lifecycle e.g. assessment and feedback, timetabling, and learner analytics. Thus Project 1 output will include information, advice and guidance on resources for each specific stage of the student life cycle. 2. Cross-cutting themes across stages of the lifecycle: Staff skills/competencies–leadership, digital literacies, embracing data A more joined-up approach–integrated systems, breaking down silos, information strategies Infrastructure–working more effectively with suppliers, up-to-date IT infrastructure

  1. Go to ‘View’ menu > ‘Header and Footer…’ to edit the footers on this slide (click ‘Apply’ to change only the currently selected slide, or ‘Apply to All’ to change the footers on all slides). To change the image on this slide: Click once on the image to select it, and then delete it Drag a replacement picture to the placeholder or click the icon in the centre of the placeholder to browse for & add another image Once you have added your replacement image, you may need to put it into the background so that it doesn’t cover other items on the slide.
