4. problem statement (200 words)
❖ The detection of suspicious human activity in surveillance footage is a current field of
study for image processing and computer vision. In order to stop terrorism, theft,
accidents and illegal parking, vandalism, fighting, chain snatching, crime and other
suspicious activities, human activities can be observed through visual surveillance in
sensitive and public areas like bus, train, airport, banks, shopping malls, schools, and
colleges.
❖ Since it is exceedingly challenging to constantly monitor public spaces, it is necessary
to install sophisticated video surveillance that can track people's movements in real-
time, classify them as routine or exceptional, and provide alerts An important aspect of
the Video surveillance is to analyze the unusual or abnormal activity of humans in
security-sensitive regions of our country such as banks, hospitals, Military bases etc.
5. Proposed solution / your big Idea (200 words)

❖ AI based intelligent surveillance camera is a device used for identifying abnormal activities of
humans in public places to prevent theft, fighting, chain snatching etc.
❖ In this project we have used the libraries such as OpenCV, Tensor Flow and keras used for the
implementation of the real-time anomaly detection system using CNN Algorithm.
❖ In public places humans perform both usual(normal) and abnormal activities. Abnormal activity
may harm others. To prevent this an intelligent surveillance camera is used to identify the
unusual and most suspicious activity of the human and to prevent such type of human activities.
❖ The project uses a web camera to capture the image of the abnormal person and make it useful
for identifying the victim. The major advantage of this device is that with the help of the SMS sent
to the owner so that the person can be identified easily and it also reduces the human need.

6. ❖ CNN is deep learning neural network in python. Convolutional neural network is useful
for spatial data analysis, image recognition, computer vision, natural language
processing, signal processing and for different purposes.
❖ CNN have neurons arranged in three dimensions. CNN takes as set of input and
passing it one to one or more to generate output.
❖ CNN is more powerful compared to other feedback forward network for image
recognition, so they don’t require much human intervention and parameters as some
other network like MLP. It operates by extracting features from video.
❖ It is critical to study that ANNs, Artificial neural network, comprised of multiple neuron
network are capable of extracting features from an images. Here, convolution and
pooling layer comes into play. Convolution and pooling are incapable of classification so
we use CNN.

Through the visual surveillance, human activities can be monitored in
sensitive and public areas such as bus stations, railway stations,
airports, banks, shopping malls, school and colleges, parking lots,
roads, etc. to prevent terrorism, theft, accidents and illegal

First the intelligence surveillance camera capture and recorded the
incidence . At the back by using real time anamoly detection system by cnn
algorithm we feed many datas about suspicious actions and not suspicious
actions. If any suspicious actions and abnormal persons have been
detected, the sensors in the camera alarm a sound to alert the shop owner
and a message with a detected crime will be automatically send to the near
stations and to the shop owner.
