  2. Class, how are you today? It is nice to hear that you are fine and ready to listen our discussion. Before we start our lesson, let us have a short review about our topic last meeting, which is all about SCOPE AND DELIMITATION in making research work. I have here an activity called “HULAAN MO?”, We will be having a fun game, an online games through KAHOOT application. This is your Activity number 1 called Hulaan mo? The class will group their selves into 3 group and each group will have a leader who will decide if each statement is True they will click True , False if otherwise. Direction : 1. Type www.kahoot.it on google application 2. Type the Game pin then answer the following statement Did you enjoy the game? Your previous lesson Scope and Delimitation is needed to our discussion today because significance of the sstudy Did you understand class? Okay! If there’s none, let us continue.

  5. To guide you this morning, the following are our objectives for our lesson this morning. Any volunteer from the class? Let us go further with our discussion. Are you ready?
  6. Anybody who knows what is significance of the study? Significances of the study is a part of Chapter 1 of your research that identifies the benefit and beneficiaries will give when the problem is solved. The reason why the researcher needs to determine the relevance of their study. It should apparently identify the purpose that the research will serve and how it will contribute to the society, the country, the government, the institution or agency concerned, and the research community.
  7. After identifying the general significance of the study, the researcher also has to determine the beneficiaries who will directly gain from the results of the study. They may be classified as academic or non-academic. Academic beneficiaries may include educational staff, teachers, students and researchers, while non-academic beneficiaries may include stakeholders, policymakers, agencies and organizations. They should be specifically listed according to the significance of the study’s results to them.
  8. the researcher needs to cite the particular benefits that the beneficiaries will gain from the study. They refer to all advantages to be obtained by those directly involved especially the researchers and research users. All of which can be manifested as demonstrable contribution of the said research to the specialized field or to the community. Such benefits may be classified as educational, professional and personal.
  9. Here is one of the example of research entitled : The Media’s Influence to the Millenials: Retrospecting Academic Performance and Media Exposure (Sonsona, 2017). In the example given. It will be discussed on the first paragraph is the General Significance.
  10. In the second paragraph it is intended for School Administrators. Here is the example: The findings of the study will help them realize the strengths and weaknesses of the students on their media access, habits and preferences. The findings can be further used as a springboard in putting up faculty enrichment programs that will help enhance teaching strategies for improving the level of students’ academic performance through the improvement of their media-based curriculum.
  11. In the third paragraph it is intended for Teachers. Here is the example: Teachers. Since teachers greatly influenced the development of their students, they may find this study useful in discovering ways and means to improve their communication degree program instruction and to enrich students’ learning experiences through proper utilization of the different forms of media.
  12. In the fourth paragraph it is intended for Parents. Here is the example: Parents. Results of this study will develop awareness of the importance of their role for the enhancement of their child’s academic progress at home and for them to be able to guide them properly considering the number of hours they have accessed, spent and availed of media.
  13. In the fifth paragraph it is intended for Students. Here is the example: Students. They will surely benefit from this research work, as they will be able to realize the importance of proper time management which may include televiewing hours among others and study hours in order to improve their academic performance.
  14. Lets have another activity called “Ano ba ang gamit mo?” All we have to do is The students will be grouped into 2. The following are possible titles of studies.
