This are some examples of what is happening every 60 seconds on the internet. Or at least before Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp went down.
You might say…Well why I should be interested in 46k Instagram posts or 452k Twitter posts?Well, the people here that are part of business unit might be familiar with that….all this posts, tweets, and even swipes on tinder are giving us information about users that you can use to improve your business.
Just to give you an example, BitTitan (company that provide solutions to help IT service providers run their business) wanted to sharpen their marketing and sales. Thanks to did Twitter sentiment analysis and data visualization solution based on PowerBIthere were able to make their tweets reach 5 times as many people, attracting more customers.
Heathrow Airport. This airport is considered the UK’s gateway to the world. Everyday, more that 200k people (at lest before the pandemic) used to pass through it. In this case they wanted to increase the customer satisfaction. They achieve it by using real/time operational data coming from 75k airport workers to better organize the passengers' movements though the airport removing all the bottlenecks in the flow.
But even in a standard organization….we can see a constant stream of data flowing through the entire ecosystem.
Capturing these data and taking advantage of them, with applied intelligence… will enables better decisions and transformative processes
…so we can do things differently
…we can create new experiences, new ways of working
…and then producing new outcomes.
…and start the loop all over again in what we call the digital feedback loop.
And this is how many organizations are transforming products, services, optimize operations and empowering their employees

You collect data from multiple sources (for example SQL Server, Saleforce, and so on)
Then you use PowerBI Desktop to create Custom visualizations and models of these data.However, because PowerBI Desktop is a client app. These reports are stored on your file system or a shared folder, so might be difficult to share them within your organization.
To make them available to other people you need to publish them to PowerBI Service.
