This document proposes electoral reforms to reduce the influence of money and muscle power in Indian politics. It suggests 9 steps, including not changing a Supreme Court decision on election funding, introducing a right to recall politicians, banning paper ballots, redefining spending limits, and making voting compulsory. It also proposes forming state and central committees to allocate funds to politicians to prevent corruption and increase transparency through social audits. Challenges to these reforms include entrenched political interests, potential corruption within new committees, and selecting honest committee members.
