Working Title:
Music Video
What is it called? This can change if you think of something better later
Audience:
My audience is targeted at 16-25 year olds also targeted at families, as it’s family friendly, this age
will be appealed to this song because most songs nowadays are more relatable which most
teenagers can either agree with them or it helps them with their day as people love music
especially teenagers. My product will also appeal to this age group as people listen to the song
first and then want to see what the video looks like just like I did when I wanted to see the video for
the song I picked however, it didn’t have a music video so it making me want to film things that will
go well for this song. The gender is for both as the song is a male singer but is talking about male
so its about both genders so no one is offended also in my music video I’m having a male and
female involved in it so everyone is a part of it. For the social status, it will be grade A, B, C1, C2,
D and E this is because anyone can watch my video it’s not targeted at one grade as anyone who
is interested can have it. For the psychographic it will be all them which is; Belonger, Achiever,
Emulator, socially conscious type A, socially conscious type B, Balanced/Totally integrated and
Needs driven. This project would appeal to this person because it’s different and unique and
everyone likes something new then copying the crowd I also I also think because its targeted to
everyone it will make everyone happy as no one will be left out so people will buy it more as its for
everyone.
Rationale (approx. 100 words)
My work throughout the year and the other year as I was here last year as well has made me
realise what I’m most interested in, and the skills and knowledge I have acquired which was
working up for deadlines, completing It in a good time and it being in its best standards also by
knowing what they are wanting to see for you work it has made my skills improved as we’ve done
a lot of these PowerPoints I’ve got to the point where I know what to put and the knowledge to put
in. studying all these different subjects the project I’m most passionate about and enjoy doing is
the print as I enjoy making magazine covers or book covers and having a little story to it to make it
interesting when you have to make a double page spread. What we have studied so far was;
Audio, Print and Music out of all of them I like the print the most however I do like the music video
one as well but I’m not very passionate about filming but I don’t mind doing it however I would
rather pick print over all of them, the next one after the music video is Video games and I know I
don’t like that as I’m not very interested in games so I find it hard to be interested in making them.
Project Concept (approx. 200 words)
The content for my music video is that I’m wanting to have the song playing which is Nature Feels
by Frank Ocean with people dancing or just moving around which ill then cut different parts
together to make it more interesting than they just dancing or moving and it just being that for the
entire song. The other things I would like to do will be at home as the other parts like I just said are
going to be in college so the parts I will have to do at home I will be using my phone which I
wanted to do anyway as I want the good quality with the camera at college then put the parts I did
at home with my phone it will look like I did it on purpose to have not the best quality camera. I’m
wanting to add sparklers to my video and shots of the nature so it’s not just people it’s a mix of
different things to make it entertaining than just being the same thing the entire time. Also, when it
comes to editing my video I’m wanting to add a colour effect over the video but only parts to make
the video look like it didn’t look like I filmed it in a college. The research I will need to see how it will
help me with my video is watching existing music video and see how they film and get parts to flow
well with each other as right now I have ideas but will need other parts to link all the parts together.

Production Techniques (approx. 150 words)
The specialist techniques I need to consider are how I’m going to be filming with the equipment for
example the camera, what the lighting is going to be like, which I’m wanting for that is it being
bright and clear for the parts I film at college and then the parts that are filmed on the night to them
be also clear but have the quality of a phone to get that different look to the good quality camera I’ll
be using at college. Ill also be using the studio room to get different shots than it just being in a
corner where we normally film or on some stairs. For the sound, I’m not really that worried about
there being any sound to it as I’ll being muting the sound on the camera as I’ll be putting the song I
chose at the beginning of the project in the video to make it the music video for the song I chose
which was Frank Ocean, Nature Feels. The only thing that these require are the camera and the
studio lights in the studio room. If we have any problems with the editing or just any problems, we
can either watch a tutorial on YouTube to help us when we get into one of them situations.
Evaluation (approx. 50 words)
How I plan to evaluate my work is by explaining how the PowerPoints and the research I did
helped me produce my music video, I’ll go in depth on each topic to help me get my ideas out to
make a music video. I feel that the planning is the most important one as I feel that when it comes
to writing about the planning in the evaluation ill know what to write about as I it helps you with the
entire project. I feel that if we didn’t plan then I feel like we would struggle even more as we have
no experience.
