STEP 4: HOW TO FIND PEOPLE DIRECTORY IF IT’S
NOT THERE IN THE TRACKER?
Many companies are generously helping
candidates who were let go find new jobs by
creating a directory and posting their contact
details. These are a gold mine of data for
recruiters. Linkedin is a good place to start.
As you can see here I search for {company-
name} layoff directory and the first post is
from the general manager of bird with the list
of all people they let go recently.

Agile Delivery Methodology (Scrum and XP) and directs teams to
explore, adapt and optimize Agile-Lean processes, principles &
practices.

fit for the same. If this sounds like something that might interest
you, let me know when works for a chat either this week or next!

In the second touch point it’s advisable to explain a little bit about the role & the job function.
You’ll have a pain a big picture on what the candidate will be doing at your company.
EMAIL 3 - THIRD TOUCH (FROM CEO)
Hi [candidate name],
[recruiter] was telling me about you & I wanted to personally write to
you to tell you about our story.
I used to work at Google before starting up Ideas2IT. We started our
journey as a high-end product engineering partner for Silicon Valley
startups. We count Siemens, Motorola, eBay, Microsoft and Zynga

startup ecosystem and have created great products in the process.

LINKEDIN INMAIL 4: LATER TOUCH
Hi [candidate name],
I don’t mean to be a bother, but I would sincerely love to connect
and so I want to be persistent. I tried reaching out to your over
email at [candidate email]. Since we’re all busy, I figured I’d
try again through Linkedin in case this is a better way to catch
your eye.
If, ultimately, you feel like you’re not right for this role, I’d love
any referrals to folks you think might be a great fit. Hope to hear
from you soon!

The idea is to shift to a different channel since they aren’t responding to emails. Check-in for
interest and referrals. Consistency is key.
LINKEDIN IMAIL 5: BREAK-UP EMAIL
Hi [candidate name],
I think that the [role] role would be a great fit for you, but I haven’t heard back from
any of the calls or emails. I just want to let you know that this will be my last email
to you. I think you’d be interested in working with us because:
● We have a unique culture with a lot of individual freedom and responsibility

  • 5. STEP 3: USE LAYOFFS.FYI TRACKER TO FIND THE PEOPLE DIRECTORY We should subscribe to their blog to receive instant updates & receive news when companies layoff people. Tracking all startup layoffs — and lists of employees laid off — since COVID- 19 was declared a pandemic.
  • 6. STEP 4: HOW TO FIND PEOPLE DIRECTORY IF IT’S NOT THERE IN THE TRACKER? Many companies are generously helping candidates who were let go find new jobs by creating a directory and posting their contact details. These are a gold mine of data for recruiters. Linkedin is a good place to start. As you can see here I search for {company- name} layoff directory and the first post is from the general manager of bird with the list of all people they let go recently.
  • 7. STEP 5: FIND RELEVANT CANDIDATES FROM THESE PEOPLE LISTS This is the publicly available directory of people who were let go from Bird.com.   • 8. STEP 6: FIND PUBLIC WEB PAGES THAT LIST LAID OFF TALENT Find 137 super talented people who have been laid off at BuzzFeed and are currently looking for a new job.
  • 9. STEP 7: USE PHANTOM BUSTER TO SEND PERSONALIZED INVITATIONS IN BULK & ENRICH CANDIDATE DATA This phantom takes a list of LinkedIn profile URLs as an input. It will visit each profile on your behalf and send them an invitation to connect. ● Gather LinkedIn profile URLs into a Spreadsheet file ● Copy the shareable link of your Spreadsheet and paste it to Phantombuster ● Write and customize your invitation message ● Launch your Phantom and/or set in on repeat mode
  • 10. MULTI-CHANNEL NURTURING SEQUENCE The outreach is a light touch but highly personalized. STEP 8: USE LEMLIST TO RUN A PERSONALIZED DRIP CAMPAIGN Best practices used: ● Candidate name in subject ● Name is used multiple times ● Add a personalized video thumbnails in the first email touch to drive clicks ● Highly personalized Subject: [first_name], interested in working at a fast-growing enterprise where you can make a high impact? Hi [first_name], I hope this email finds you safe and well in light of recent world news. I know these times are uncertain and it must have been really hard for you to say goodbye to your colleagues after [duration] years at [company]. If you’ve been thinking about what’s next after [company], we’re still growing here at Ideas2IT and would love to have a conversation with you. As you might imagine, we need more hands on deck; and I think your experience as a [title] at [company] and [previous-company] makes you uniquely suited to help us hit our 2020 goals. Are you up for a chat this week or next to see if what you are looking for in your next opportunity aligns with what Ideas2IT has to offer? [signature]
  • 12. EMAIL 2 - SECOND TOUCH (FROM HIRING MANAGER) Hi [candidate name], I hope that you are doing well. My name is [your name] and I’m [your role] at [your company]. Right now, we are searching for [role] who has experience with, or knowledge of, Agile Delivery Methodology (Scrum and XP) and directs teams to explore, adapt and optimize Agile-Lean processes, principles & practices. I got your profile from [recruiter], I think you would make a great fit for the same. If this sounds like something that might interest you, let me know when works for a chat either this week or next! All the best, [your name] In the second touch point it’s advisable to explain a little bit about the role & the job function. You’ll have a pain a big picture on what the candidate will be doing at your company.
  • 13. EMAIL 3 - THIRD TOUCH (FROM CEO) Hi [candidate name], [recruiter] was telling me about you & I wanted to personally write to you to tell you about our story. I used to work at Google before starting up Ideas2IT. We started our journey as a high-end product engineering partner for Silicon Valley startups. We count Siemens, Motorola, eBay, Microsoft and Zynga among our clients. We solve some very interesting problems in the USA startup ecosystem and have created great products in the process. I tried reaching out to your over email at [candidate email]. Since we’re all busy, I figured I’d try again through Linkedin in case this is a better way to catch your eye. If, ultimately, you feel like you’re not right for this role, I’d love any referrals to folks you think might be a great fit. Hope to hear from you soon! Best, [your name] The idea is to shift to a different channel since they aren’t responding to emails. Check-in for interest and referrals. Consistency is key.
  • 15. LINKEDIN IMAIL 5: BREAK-UP EMAIL Hi [candidate name], I think that the [role] role would be a great fit for you, but I haven’t heard back from any of the calls or emails.
