Three Layers of Platform Changing Innovation

marketplace e.g. Amazon.com, Google Play, Apple App Store and many industry specific platforms e.g. GE

– Specific platforms that organisations use to provide products and services to their customers, employees or
partners e.g. Nike, Verizon, ...
• Cloud Platforms
– Technology platforms, providing the applications and technology onto which organisations can build products and
services or consume services to run their business e.g. Oracle Cloud Platform

the Oracle Cloud Platform, providing organisations with a secure, reliable and
flexible foundation to run their Corporate Digital Platforms and innovate new
products and services. The blueprint can be extended to incorporate Market
