To celebrate National Aviation Day for 2014, we have built on our aviation heritage starting with our first president, "Lucky" Lester. "Lucky" was a Tuskegee airman in World War II. After his 28 years of service in the air force, he went on to found ICF in 1969.

2003 ICF supports FAA’s Flight Service Station Competitive Sourcing and the
privatization of the flight service station function.
2010 ICF is tasked by the FAA to develop a high-level study that evaluated public-private
partnership alternatives to improve the business case for airlines’investment in NextGen avionics.
2011 ICF Hires Staff of AeroStrategy LLC, Expands Services into High-Growth Aerospace
Manufacturing and Aviation Supply Chain Management Sectors.
2012 ICF supports the FAA Enterprise Support Services (ECSS) contract,
providing a wide range of technology and management services.
2005 ICF works with the FAA CFO in the strategic sourcing of various
equipment and supplies under an innovative no cost share-in-savings contract.
1991ICF develops a training program for FAA Program Managers and
Business Managers to improve FAA management of air traffic control programs.
1992 ICF begins support to FAA long-range, terminal, weather and ground
radar programs through the SurveillanceTechnical Assistance Contract with
environmental, engineering and program management expertise.
2007 ICF acquires Simat, Helliesen & Eichner Inc. (SH&E).
2008 ICF begins training FAA Aviation Safety Inspectors including curriculum
development, classroom and in-flight flight training delivery for general aviation.
