The company makes products for Nike customers. Corporate Social Responsibility (HSE, Labor, Community,
CTPAT) department has to work with local government and many customers to fulfill their requirements.
Corporate Social Responsibility Manager (HSE, Labor, Community, CTPAT)
The position is expected to drive a consistent and comprehensive HSE approach to making sure that the factory
is in compliance with customers’ standards, local standards and enhancing capability and performance of factory
to eventually add value to business.
Ensure that all sustainability and CSR strategy, policies, procedures are well established, communicated,and
updated
 Consult with senior leadership to create CSR objectives and annual plan which aligns with the company
business strategy and headquarter’s expectations
 Coach and work with other related business functions to create CSR policies, procedures which align
with customers’ requirements and local laws
 Coach and work with other related business functions to create risk assessment and which serves
foundation for strategy, objectives and targets
 Communicate CSR objectives and programs to business functions and team members to make sure that
goals, expectations, timeline are well understood and agreed
 Worked with HR Manager in developing procedures and policies about Human Resource Management,
mainly focused on recruitment, work hour control, compensation & benefits, performance evaluation,
training & development, disciplinary & grievance system; initiative to control HR documents follow Nike
Human Resource Management Assessment Tool
 Timely track and update legislative changes, interpret and communicate legal changes to senior
leadership & appropriate areas, prepare for company’s response to regulatory changes and follow up to
ensure required changes are implemented.
Establish and implement an effective training system
 Create factory-wide training plan and program based on legal requirements & training needs.
 Cross-functionally work with other related business functions to prepare proper training material.
 Provide pre-determined trainings to applicable employees.
 Coach to develop internal trainers.
 Lead the training team to following the communicative approach as well as set up the training evaluation
process
Establish and implement internal monitoring and continuous improvement program
 Create and implement internal audit program with plan, internal auditors, frequency…
 Work with senior leadership to establish and implement an effective CSR committee
 Host all external audits from customers and government
 Cross-functionally work with other related business functions to make sustainable improvement plan
based on internal and external audits
 Be the point contact for external stakeholders regarding HSE (Fire Police Department, HR, VCCI, Nike)
 Support community-focused activities: Sport competition (low-biking, jogging), cooking & flower
arrangement contest, singing contest, Football Cup, and charitable contribution
 Assist to set up the Kaizen committee flow chart and working process
Implement programs to comply with legal requirements
 Lead emergency response drills (fire safety, food poison, first aid…), accident/incident investigation,
inspection and maintenance of fire alarm & fighting system, chemical management, electricity
management
 Monitor and evaluate conformity level of healthcare & health check-up, occupational diseases, food
safety, canteen, hygiene facilities, indoor working condition, air emission, wastewater, hazardous waste
 Work with external service providers to set up environment impact assessment, fire safety certificate, and
monitor indoor and outdoor working environment
 Regularly report and update senior leadership about CSR performance.
 Update requirements from customers and governments to leaderships and related departments and be
a requirement database maker.
 Manage the company’s grievance system. Establish the multi communication channel to listen the
workers’ ideas. Solve the labor disputes basing on the Labor laws aspect
Manage performance of outsourcing subcontractors (printing, embroidery, finished garments) to ensure they
are were in compliance with the Group & company established policies and customer’s requirements as well.
 Conduct the audit/ assessment and continuous improvement (PDCA) process at all subcontractors in
Nike supply chain.
 Systematically prepare auditing documents (pre-audit questionnaires, checklist for document reviewed &
factory observation, CAP…) according to company policies & related customer’s requirements.
 Plan and execute compliance audits using risk-based audit methodology, evaluate their social
compliance system and assess the actual gaps, provide consulting activities for improving audit rating.
 Diligently monitor corrective/ preventative action plans with factory management & business unit leaders
to confirm proper resolution.
 Provide proper training for capacity building for subcontractors, then support them in taking ownership for
deriving and implementing CSR sustainable improvement plans.
 Prepare reports and update to senior management team for reviewing subcontractor performance.
Team Management
 Manage 14 CSR team members and responsible for operating, goal setting, performance appraisal
 Create and communicate specific goals to team members to set up their annual goals.
 Monitor and review annual, monthly, and weekly HSE plan and performance with team members
