The document provides tips and strategies for using Google Trends as a keyword selection tool. It explains how Google Trends can show the popularity of keywords over time and compare up to 5 keywords or phrases. Examples show trends for "blue cars" vs "black cars" and "blue car" vs "blue cars". While Google Trends provides useful insights, it has limitations as a keyword tool, as it can't show actual search volumes or competition levels for keywords. The document encourages using additional research along with Google Trends for keyword selection.

How You Can Build Trust and Authority to Your
Website and Get Higher Ranking
Do you know that almost 25% of the Google
Ranking Algorithm is calculated by the trust and
authority of your domain.
So your next question would be – can I do
something about this? And yes you can. So are
you ready? It’s much more than just the age of
your domain.
How Google calculates the ranking of websites
Trust and the search engines
Domain age is very important. I am sure you
know about this. And there is not a lot you can
do about this. But when you are choosing your
server, you should choose one with a good
reputation, so you don’t have to move your site
to another server after 6 months or 1 year.
Registration information. You can see my
registration here. There is in general more trust to a public registration than a private
registration. So a .Gov or .Org name will have more trust than a .Biz or .Com.
Physical address. Write your physical address on your site – this will also help your trust by
your viewers.
Privacy policy. If you have any web form where you are collecting data you should have a
well written privacy policy and use some secure data transfer (like SSL Certificate) and tell
your viewers that you are using it. If you see my web form – you will see that it says “We
respect your email privacy” and you can read more.
FAQ page. A FAQ page will also help you increase the trust of your site.
Who links to you? The search engines will check the links to your site and check where they
are coming from. The principle here is that if they are coming from spammy domains, the
search engines might think of you as a spammer. On the other hand if Google discovers that
you have links from trusted domains such as Wikipedia, dmoz or yahoo directory or other
websites with a high PageRank, Google will think your site must be trusted too. So in short –
if you have a new site like me (www.SeoCustomer.com is only 6 months old) and you only
have very few links to your site, and most of them are spammer links, you might get in
trouble.
Who do you link to? It’s the same idea as a link coming to your site. If you link to spammy
sites, the search engines might think of your site as a spamming site too. So be careful who
you like to.
5. www.Seocustomer.com Page 5/92
Domain Authority
This is a more straightforward concept than trust. The most important element is how many
quality pages link to your website and how do they link to your website.
First let me show you this Google Authoritative from www.chrisg.com. Click on it and take a
good look at it. Very informative. Use it as a reference map. I love it. Click on it to see it
larger.
Many people believe that Google has a whitelist of trusted web sites. So if you can get some
inbound links from websites which are on this list, it will give you a boost in your search
engine rankings.
I am not sure about this whitelist – but anyway if you get inbound links from websites with a
high PageRank you will do well.
Other Link Factors
Theme – what is the subject of the domain that links to you – is it relevant topic for your
subject?
Strength – is the site that links to you trusted?
6. www.Seocustomer.com Page 6/92
Diversity – do you have a few varieties and diversity of domains that links to you or many
Age – how old are the linking domains?
Location – the location of the inbound links – from the content or the footer?
Anchor Text – Google will love a lot of different anchor text. If the different sites use the
same anchor text Google will think it’s suspicious.
You can check out your backlinks, anchor text and follow or no follow at
www.backlinkwatch.com. Great tool.

3 Simple Steps to Boost Your Traffic with Google
Analytic
Are you using Google Analytic –
well if you are not – you should
start using it. It’s free and it will
give you tons of information about
your website.
Check it out here Google Analytic.
You can check it out here… You can’t
really do SEO without knowing
something about your visitors right?
Let me show you a simple but effective
trick where you can use the
information from your Google Analytic
to grow your traffic.
1. Step – Find the keywords you are already ranking for
This is what you are going to do.
We will first find out what people are searching for in the organic Google searches to find
your website.
Go to Google Analytic – Dashboard – Traffic Sources – Sources – All Traffic. In the right
window click on “Google / Organic”. In the next window you are going to click on
“Source/Medium” and pick “Traffic Sources” and pick “keywords”.
So now you know what people have written in Google search to find your website. This will
be your top-ranking keywords that you got right now.
2. Step – find your website’s ranking position
Now we are going to check your keywords position. So go to Google and write you’re the
first keyword you just found.
This can be a little tricky – because if you have a new or relatively new site, you might
discover that your website is not showing up on the first page – or maybe not the second
page in the Google search results.
The point is that you have discovered a page on your website that have a high ranking for a
keyword phrase. And this is what we are looking for.
It’s not so important if its showing up on page 1 or 2 (or 3…).
You can find programs which are showing you your ranking. I have found this ranking tool.
This way you don’t have to check too many pages if your keyword is not showing up on the
1. or 2. page.
8. www.Seocustomer.com Page 8/92
3. Step – building backlinks
Now the last step is to use your knowledge about your keywords and ranking. You are going
to use the keyword phrase as your anchor text.
I would go back to Google and search for “SEO guest post” or “SEO blog guest post” or “SEO
comments” and find relevant websites, which could be relevant for a link back to my website
here. You will have to search for relevant websites to your blog or website.
Write a comment on the website you just found, or contact the site owner and ask if you
could write an article with a backlink.
Then write your article with your keyword and a link (also with your keyword or keyword
phrase). If you are commenting a post, again remember to mention your keyword or
keyword phrase.
Now repeat this for your other main keywords. Simple right? Yeah I know – it will take some
time with articles, but then start by commenting some posts.
After some weeks check out your rank position again.
Well that’s all folks – I better start commenting some articles and write some articles.

How to use Google Trends as a Keyword
Selection Tool
When you are looking for a way to find your keywords for your SEO or for your PPC – you
have a lot of free tools you can use for your research.
If you are searching for “used cars” you can get information about how many people are
conducting a search for that special word or words. Use free tools like Google Keyword Tool.
Or you can use WordTracker.
You will get the information about how many times a phrase is searched for, and
information about words or phrases that are very close to your target keyword. So in our
example you will maybe get information about “blue cars” or “new cars”
But with Google Trends you can go much further. First of all it will show you how popular the
keyword is over time, showing if your keywords popularity is rising, falling or staying steady.
So let’s say you are not sure if you want to do SEO for the term “blue cars” or “black cars”.
Go to the search” and you will see this picture. Don’t write the quote marks, you just write
the phrases with a comma between the search phrases. You can compare up to 5 different
words or phrases.
13. www.Seocustomer.com Page 13/92
So the “black cars” phrase is very steady and the “blue cars” phrase is rising and falling but
is always higher than the phrase black cars.
Google Trends is also a very quick way to get information about singular or plural version of
your searched keyword or phrase. Here I will compare “blue car” or “blue cars”.
Here you can see that there will be much more traffic for the word car than for the word cars.
14. www.Seocustomer.com Page 14/92
To the right you will see the volume of news stories related to your keyword. Below you can
see the result from selected cities, selected world regions and by selected world languages.
Google Trend can’t tell you everything
Use Google Tend as a keyword tool. But you will need more research. Google Trend can’t tell
you how many times a keyword has been searched. You can compare two or more graphs
but not the actual number of searches.
Even though you found the most popular keyword or phrase it doesn’t tell you how
competitive the market for that keyword is.
Maybe you will have no change at all to get into top10 for the phrase “Blue Cars” but you
will have a great change for the phrase “Black cars” even though the popularity is much
lower. And therefor you can get more traffic from that phrase.
Use Google Trend as an inspiration
Start using Google Trend and get inspired. And when you have found a word or two you will
need to go to tools like Google Keyword Tool. But Google Trend is a great tool.
And yes.. It’s FREE.

Facebook, Google or Bing PPC Ads?
When we are talking about PPC (Pay Per Click) ads, we are often talking about Google only –
Google Adwords. But PPC is much more than Google Adwords. When should you use Bing or
Facebook PPC ads?
In the end we have to figure out where we get the highest ROI. You will have to check out
the positive and negative things about each media. So let me show you some pros and cons
of each channel.
Google PPC Ads
Advantages of Google Adwords PPC ads:
Reach. You will reach about 80% of the internet users. So do you have to reach as many
people as possible Google Adwords might be a great idea. The audience is much larger
compared to Bing. Google Adwords are also shown on other major and strategic search
engines and websites that collaborate with Google. So you can use Google as a multiple
channels with search, display and banner etc. You can target PC, tablets, mobile, video etc.
Cost. You have full control over your costs. Google makes it easy for companies to control
their cost. Companies will only pay when users get to their website. There is no minimum
cost for the usage and you decide how much you want to spend. You will pay between 1 cent
and 100 dollars per click.Google has a built/in conversion and revenue tracking code –
17. www.Seocustomer.com Page 17/92
awesome. A lot of great statistics where you can check location, site links, mobile click to
call to improve your click through rate.
Timing. Timing is everything. When a customer is looking for something special on Google –
like “big blue cars” – your ad will only show up if you what it to.
Flexible. You can get started right away within 15 minutes. And you can change the ad
whenever you want to. You can also target the ad to a specific geographical location and
languages. But you can also target device or time of day you want the ad to be shown.
Disadvantages of using Google Adwords ads
Every click counts. You will have to pay every click on your website – even though you don’t
make a sale. Google Adwords becomes increasingly competitive as more and more
advertisers join it. Depending on the competition the PPC and be very expensive. The CTR is
low on the display network.
Payment. If you don’t pay on time Google will remove your ad (well fair enough right?).
Statistic. How high is your click rates compared to your competitors? You don’t know the
competitors CTR and Google will not tell you.
Copy space. You will only have 25 characters in the headline and 70 characters for the rest.
So choose your words wisely.
Facebook PPC ads
You can pay for your Facebook ads in 2 ways. PPC with a minimum bid of 1 cent for every
click you will receive. Another method is CPM (Cost Per Mille) with a minimum bid of 2 cents
for every 1,000 clicks you will receive.
18. www.Seocustomer.com Page 18/92
Advantages of Facebook PPC ads:
Generally lower cost per click (CPC) than Google Adwords
Great for creating brand awareness - branding
Large audience – there are now 845 million accounts on Facebook (that’s 12 percent of all
people in the world!).
Targeting. One of the biggest advances is the targeting possibilities. You can target by
gender, marital status, location, age, interests/hobbies, likes etc. Awesome.
Locale targeting (I haven’t seen this in other countries – give me a comment if you have,
thx) – you can use Facebook as a local marketing. Only show the ad for people living in a
specific postcode.
Expose time. Users are more likely to stay on Facebook for a longer time than on Bing or
Google. So the user will be exposed to your ad for a longer time.
Images. You can use imagines which can make it more likely that users are paying attention
to your ad.
Characters. You have 135 characters – much more than Google Adwords.
Disadvantages of using Facebook ads:
Space. Not much space on Facebook to show ads.
Niche markets. The PPC cost for very specific niche markets can be very high.
19. www.Seocustomer.com Page 19/92
Low click-through-rate (CTR) for eCommenrce compared to Google Adwords – People are
using Facebook to talk and socialize with their friends and are not thinking of buying
anything.
Weird, irrelevant ads – many irrelevant ads, free giveaways, reward programs etc. which
give the ads less relevance when the consumer is viewer the ads.
Bing PPC ads
Bing was formerly MSN – but Yahoo and MSN joined their forces and made Bing. So when
you are using Bing you are using the combined technologies and resources of Yahoo and
MSN.
Advantages of Bing PPC ads:
Easy to sign up. Just got to http://advertising.microsoft.com.
Import your Yahoo or Google ads. This is really awesome. You can import your ads using the
ad center. So you don’t have to duplicate efforts. So you should make a test using Bing and
compare it to Google.
Targeting. You can target your ads to specific demographics. So if you are selling “used cars”.
One of your ads can be made for singles. Another ad can be made for a local dealer. A third
can reach pregnant women (hmm I don’t know if they need a specific used car?)
Ad center. Like Google Adwords the ad center is very easy to use. You have access to
performance statistics.
Keyword bidding is often less expensive than Google Adwords or Facebook.
CTR and conversion tends to be higher on Bing
20. www.Seocustomer.com Page 20/92
Disadvantages of using Bing ads:
In many ways Bing looks like Google Adwords
Volume. The biggest disadvantage is volume. Bing has a much smaller audience than Google
or Facebook.
No built-in revenue tracking feature
Conclusion
You will have to know everything about your product/brand and your buyers – when you are
choosing the right channel. And you should also consider a combination of the channels.
Maybe Facebook PPC Ads could be considered as an accompaniment to the Google Adwords
instead of a replacement.
But like in Social Media you sometimes have to use several channels. So you own it to
yourself to test other media than just Google Adwords. Make a pre-campaign and check out
your ROI.
You will have to know and understand your customers and your market. Good luck with it.

How Do Social Login & Sharing Affect
Ecommerce?
We all know there is a connection between Social
Sharing and eCommerce right?
We build relationship with the customer, and if you have

Find the right keywords - quick and easy
When I am talking to people about SEO, many
people don't really know what to do to find the
right keywords for their page. How do we find
them? What do we do?
So I have been telling them about this method
here. It's a quick and easy - step by step.
So are you ready? Coffee in your cup? Let's
start.
1. Find the most relevant keywords for
your business
'First you will have to write down your ideas. This should be a brainstorming.
Forget about how much traffic theses keywords are getting. Just focus on the words.
If you are selling cars – a relevant keyword is “cars” or “used cars”, “blue cars”, “old cars”,
“new cars”. This is a very qualitative process. So write all your ideas on a piece of paper.
You can also get ideas from Google Trend or Google Insight.
Another great tool is the Google Keywords Tool. Type in the words “used cars” and see a lot
of suggestions. Google Keywords Tool doesn't know everything – so you might have to take
away some of the words it is suggesting.
So now you have a list with a lot of words right?
2. Now check out the traffic
You might be able get the rank position 1 on Google with the phrase “old blue beautiful cars
from New York”, but if there is only 10 people looking for that word phrase, it's not going to
help you to drive traffic to your site right?
So - go to Google Keywords Tool and write in the words from your list.
Now you can check how much traffic there is on the internet from your suggested words.
Well this was step number 2. Still easy right?
3. How much competition
Now step 3 is about competition. If there is a lot of competition for a keyword, it will get
very difficult for you to rank number 1 or number 10.
You might have found that the word “used cars” is a very relevant word for you, and it gets
tons of traffic. But but but (there is always a but right?) - when you are checking the
competition for this word, you will find that the top 10 companies on Google all have over
50.000 backlinks and a lot of traffic to their site. So no matter how much you are trying, you
25. www.Seocustomer.com Page 25/92
might never get enough link-juice or traffic to get into the top 10.
You can check the competition in different programs. I am using Market Samurai for this. Its
not a free program, but it saves me a lot of time.
Another program is the SEO Power Suite. And I am sure there are a lot of other great
programs out there.
In Google Keyword Tool you can see if a competition is high, medium or low.
Okay I know this step wasn't so easy – but it's still very important.
Now we are almost done here.
4. Optimization
Now you have your keyword for a page. Pick out a main keyword or keyword phrase to a
page. And you can also pick out a second keyword or keyword phrase – but no more for a
page.
And now start your writing and on-page optimization. You can read much more about on
page optimization here.

How to Boost LinkedIn Lead Generation
LinkedIn is one of the most effective social media for lead generation
for B2B compared to other social media.
Let me show you this report from a survey from HubSpot. The study
was based on 3,128 HubSpot B2B customers. And the result is really
amazing.
LinkedIn generated the highest visitor-to-lead conversion rate by
2.60 percent - four times higher than Twitter with 0,67 percent and
seven times better than Facebook with only 0,39 percent.
Remember this is average numbers – you will have to check out your own conversion rates
from the different social media. But the numbers show that you will have to check out
LinkedIn if you are in the B2B market.
You will have to make a profile and a company page, but now you will have to take your lead
generation from LinkedIn to the next level.
So let me show you 5 ways of boosting your lead generation so you can get more sale.
32. www.Seocustomer.com Page 32/92
1. LinkedIn Answers.
Did you know that LinkedIn has a LinkedIn Answers section?
You can ask a question or answer a question.
So go to the answer a question section – find your line of business and answer some
questions. This way you can tell the world what you are doing, and that you are an expert.
Remember to write your www when you are answering a question.
This way you can also get more traffic on your site.
33. www.Seocustomer.com Page 33/92
2. LinkedIn Applications
Another great thing in LinkedIn is the application area. Here you can go and add some
interesting apps to your LinkedIn page.
So you can add your blog post directly to your LinkedIn page – awesome :)
You can also tell people which business books you are reading. So go and start your reading
list.
Or what about making a poll – then you can ask the readers (potential customers) of your
pages something interesting.
34. www.Seocustomer.com Page 34/92
3. Join Groups
Yes of course you have to join some groups too. But the trick is to join some groups your
customer is joining too.
So I am joining some groups who are interested in SEO and SEM, but it would be better for
me to join some groups with maybe small business owners, general consulting business, and
business groups.
Of course I have to join the SEO groups too but the other groups might generate more leads
than the most obvious ones.
35. www.Seocustomer.com Page 35/92
4. LinkedIn ads
Yes this could be the highest ROI for your business. Like on Google Adwords you pay per
click. So create your headline and copy and per click.
So if you like to pay 50 cents per click and for every 100 clicks you will have 2 sales. It will
cost you 25 dollars a sale. What is your surplus per sale?
Remember to check your CTR (click through rate) so you can calculate your ROI. ROI is king.
5. LinkedIn People
This is a really awesome tool for sales people – in the B2B business. It’s really simple – click
on the “companies” folder – search a company in the upper-right-corner.
Now you can check out the people who are working at the company. If you don’t have any
connections to the company, you can see if there are any 2. Connections.
Then go and ask your shared connections to introduce you via LinkedIn to the people in the
company you have been searching for.

The 2012 Facebook Advertising Report
Make the best of your Facebook ads
When we are doing PPC most of us are using Google AdWords. But you can also put your ads
on websites like Bing or Facebook.
And Facebook ads have been here for some years now. Facebook is selling more and more
ads. Take a look here. Facebook is expecting to sell for over 5 billion US dollars in 2012. Yes
I will say it again over 5 billion US dollars.
Social Fresh’s new 2012 Facebook Ad Report gives us a little insight from their survey of
experienced marketers, some analysis and some tips. So let me show you some of the tips
and tricks if you are planning to make some Facebook ads.
Awareness is the most popular goal for Facebook ads
The graph below shows the percentage that the advertisers mostly use the the Facebook ads
to get awareness.
39. www.Seocustomer.com Page 39/92
Targeting Criteria
So the most popular Facebook ad criteria is “age” and then “country” and “precise interest”.
Facebook ads are perfect for doing a very local campaign.
And check out the orange data – it shows the criteria regarding locations. A very important
criteria too.
40. www.Seocustomer.com Page 40/92
Sponsored Stories get the highest CTR
It seems that sponsored stories get a higher click/through rate (CTR) and a higher user
engagement. But still 55 percent of the survey respondents didn’t use sponsored stories.
According to Facebook sponsored Stories are posts from your friends or Pages on Facebook
that a business, organization or individual has paid to highlight so there’s a better chance
you’ll see them. They are regular stories that a friend or Page you’re connected to has
shared with you.
Change your Facebook ad 2 to 3 times a week
If you see the same ad again and again – your eyes will get used to it and in the end you
will not really see it. So the question is what is the average Facebook ad creative lifespan.
As you can see the the average Facebook ad creative lifespan is highest at 5 to 14 days. And
then only 1 to 4 days. So the lesson is that you have to change your creative ad very often.
Don’t use it too long. Change it a couple of times every week.
Justlin Kistner from Webtrends has said that the data from Webtrends shows that the
average Facebook ad has the highest CTR in the first 72 hours. That is also telling us to
change the Facebook ad 2 or 3 times a week.
Which pricing model is the most popular - CPC or CPM
So what about CPC (cost per click) or CPM (cost per thousand views) – which one of the two
pricing options is used the most do you think?
41. www.Seocustomer.com Page 41/92
Well respondents overwhelmingly prefer paying per click.
And by the way the average CPC is 0.80 US dollars.

How to Find Your Perfect PPC Daily Budget
I often hear from companies that they don’t know
how much money they should put into their Google
Adwords account. But let me show you how you will
get your perfect PPC budget. Step by step.
First of all Google Adwords (or PPC) is not a cost –
it’s an investment. So the question is how much
money should you invest in your Google Adwords?
If you invest less than you should then you are
losing sale right? You could have sold more
products than you are doing right now. And if you
are investing too much well then you will not get
enough return on your investments.
Google Adwords is suggesting your bids and your daily budget – but Google Adwords has no
ideas of your Average-Order-Value (AOV) or your Close-Rate (CR) or your business model.
So you will have to do this on your own.
Your perfect daily PPC budget for a new product
First you have to estimate how many sales you are expecting to sell. Remember to stay
conservative – you can use the minimum number of sales to stay in business. (Let’s say you
need to sell 100 products every month).
Take a guess of your closing rate. If you have 100 leads how many of them will actually buy
something from you. Again be conservative and get more precise after some few weeks. (If
you have a special product it could be 10 percent or even more).
With the expected sale and your Closing-Rate (CR) you can now calculate how many leads
you will need to make your sale right?
Now estimate or calculate your target Cost-Per-Lead (CPL) – this is the maximum amount
you can spend per lead. You can spend up to this limit and still be profitable.
Now multiply the number of leads with the target CPL. This is how much money you can
spend in one month on your PPC.
The last thing is to divide your number by 30 to get your daily budget – and now you are all
done.
So if you want to sell 100 products every month and your Closing-Rate is 20 percent you will
need 2000 leads. Now if your target cost per lead is 5 dollars – you will need to invest 10000
dollars every month. This will be a daily budget of 333 (10000 divided by 30). This is your
perfect PPC budget.
And yes you will still need to improve your Google Adwords ads, your Cost-Per-Click, and
your Conversion-Rates.
Your perfect daily PPC budget for an existing product
Now if you have an existing product you already know a lot about your product. So you can
use this information to get your perfect PPC budget.
49. www.Seocustomer.com Page 49/92
So this is what you can do
First set up your target for your monthly sales
Use your information about Average-Order-Value (AOV), Closing-Rate (CR) and Project Rate
of Return (PRR) to calculate your Cost-Per-Lead (Now you don’t have to guess your Closing-
Rate).
Simply multiply your target for monthly sale with your Cost-Per-Lead to get your monthly
budget.
Divide your monthly sale in 30 to get your daily PPC budget.
And remember that your PPC is not a cost but an investment.

13 Elements Your Homepage Must Have
Is it time to do a redesign of your homepage?
You might consider how you can make a
redesign of your homepage so you can
generate more leads than you do now. There
are a lot of critical elements you need to
incorporate into your homepage.
You need to tell your customers about their
benefits from buying your product. But most
of the people on the internet will only spend
up to 10 second on a homepage before going
to another page. So you will have to be very
clear about your design.
Make a Goal
Don't make a homepage without a goal. Do
you want to sell something? Or do you want
people to sign up for your newsletter? I think
around 80 percent of all the homepage I have
seen don't have any call to action.
What is the benefit for them to buy your product? What are the features of the product?
Remember you don't have a long time to persuade your customer. Here you can read more
about Call-to-Action.
What is your keyword?
Remember your audience is people - so don't write for the SEO. But don't forget the SEO
either. So before writing your text - I would write my main keyword down on a piece of
paper. Remember to use this keyword in your headline, subtext, image tag... But remember
to let the text flow. Don't overuse the word.
When I do a page I would have a main keyword but also a second keyword. So the main
keyword could be "used car" but the second one could be "exclusive used cars"
But I will use maximum 2 keywords or keywords phrases on a page. Here you can read
more about how to find your keywords.
Do people trust you?
Maybe the people who have found your site don't know your company and they don't know
your product - so how can they trust you?
Well - remember to tell them that - "you are not alone". Maybe 12.000 people have bought
the product the last 5 years. Tell them.
Write down your physical address. It will show your customers that you are serious. Read
53. www.Seocustomer.com Page 53/92
more about trust here.
No standard pictures
Never use standard pictures. We all hate standard office pictures (well most of us).
Show the real faces of the people working in your company. Get an accept from some of
your customers and take pictures of them. This will tell your potential customer that you are
a real and they can trust your website.
Your company is your design
If people don't know you or your company - they will only know you from the website. So if
you made a cluttered website people will think that your business is messy. Can you really
manage your products?
Read more about design and usability here.
Homepage as the landing page?
You should always use a specific page as the landing page - and not the homepage. But your
homepage is your front door, so no matter what you do a lot of people will meet your
company on your homepage.
And often the home page does a very poor job of generating leads or sales.
Your home page will get traffic from a lot of sources and from people with a lot of different
goals. Somebody is looking for your phone number, somebody is looking for a job, a lot of
people want to read about your products.
12 + 1 critical elements every homepage must have
I found this infographic at HubSpot. It will give you a great input to your new design.
But things are moving fast in this internet world - so I want to add one more element. Don't
forget to add the social media. Let people connect to you and let them share your page.

3 Simple SEO Steps to Double Your Traffic
You might know this situation – you have a website
but you need more traffic.
Well I think every website owner knows about this.
I found this strategy – and people told me that this
strategy has doubled their organic traffic overnight.
So it might work for you also.
The strategy is to take your most viewed pages
and give them an update.
You don’t have to work for weeks to get backlinks
– it’s all done on-page.
In fact it’s like going back to the basic SEO. A lot of
pages and website don’t have the basic SEO for
their pages. So working with the basic will help
your traffic. You do remember the SEO pyramid too?
But no more talk – get some coffee in your cup and put your favorite music on (I think I will
listen to Earth Wind and Fire… Or maybe Paul McCartney).
1. Step – check up your meta tag
First you pick up the 10 pages of your website with the most page views. You can go to your
Google Analytic and check that out.
Take the standard Report and choose the last month. Go to Content / Site Content / Pages.
Here you will find your 10 most viewed pages.
Here you can see my top 10 pages.
When you focus on the top 10 pages you will pick
the pages with the most effect for your traffic. But
later on you can do the same with the rest of your
pages.
Now for each of your top 10 pages you will need to
find your URL, Title Tag, Meta Description and
Header.
57. www.Seocustomer.com Page 57/92
Let me give you an example here:
Current Version New Version
URL www.used-
cars.com/34tpo/d
www.used-
cars.com/Ford/2010
Title Tag Home – used-cars.com Used Ford cars, best
quality cars, cheap
used cars in town at
used-cars.com
Meta Description Home page – Contact
Us – Products -
information
Get updated
information about our
quality used Ford cars
with a certification
guaranty. Check out
our great deals.
Header 2010 cars Used Ford Cars 2010
You get the idea. You might find that many of your old pages have “URL” with no keywords
but only some strange number or letters.
The “Title Tag” might never have been checked before and your keyword should be
mentioned in the title tag.
The “Meta Description” should tell the people searching what your page is all about and why
they just have to go and check it out.
And of course your header should contain your keyword.
2. Step – On-page optimization
Now go and do a normal SEO report on your pages for your keywords.
For each of your top 10 pages you will make a report. In most of the SEO software you will
write your URL, your keyword and the search engine – and it will tell what you need to do
on-page to optimize your page.
I use “Internet Business Promoter” but you can also use the software from SeoMoz or a lot
of other software.
Most of the software will give you some advices about what to do to optimize your page for
your keyword.
Okay – you still have your coffee? We are almost done now.
3. Step – submit your sitemap and RSS feed to the Webmaster Tools
You can submit your site, sitemap and RSS feed to the Google Webmaster Tools. After you
have submitted it – Google will find any errors or other issues your site might have. And you
will have to correct the mistakes.
58. www.Seocustomer.com Page 58/92
Well that was it.
I think it will take you around a day to make this work. And when you do it with your top 10
pages you will get the most effect out of your work.
Now check up on your traffic... Some people have doubled their traffic using these easy
basic SEO steps.

Don’t let me think - Usability Testing
Long time ago marketing people were always talking
about “The Customer is King”. And we can still learn a
lot when we talk to the customers.
What if we have the best quality product and it's also
the cheapest one. Well we should have some sell going
on then. But maybe our viewers can’t find the product.
People are impatient. So if they can’t find the
information they are looking for right away they will
leave your site. So the issue is “Don’t let the viewer
think”.
There are plenty of other websites available – most of
the people will leave your site within 10 seconds.
I found this example.
Go and check out your own Google Analytics data.
What is usability testing?
Usability testing is a quality test that will tell you how easy your website interface is to use.
The goal is to improve the ease-of-use during the design process.
60. www.Seocustomer.com Page 60/92
Usability has 5 quality components:
Learnability – how easy is it for users to accomplish basic tasks the first time they
see your web design? Remember don’t let the customer think too much.
Efficiency – how quickly can the users perform different tasks?
Memorability – when the users are coming back to your site how well can they
perform different tasks?
Satisfaction – how satisfied or pleasant are the users with your design?
Errors - how many errors do the users make?
The basic components of a usability test are
Find some representative users
Ask these users to perform a task with your design
Observe what the users are doing – is it difficult to find the information? Is your
navigation logic?
When we are talking usability we also have to talk about utility. Utility is whether your
design provides the features they need. Do the users want a search bar? Do you have a
search bar?
And how useful is your website. Useful is usability AND utility. So the perfect website design
is a website with high usability and high utility.
Usability testing is an ongoing process
You will need some different usability tests. Here are the main steps
Before starting the new design – test the old design, what is the good part and bad
part of the present design.
You can test your competitor’s design. Get some ideas of alternative interfaces and
features.
Make paper prototypes of one or more designs and test them
Keep on testing during your design process.
When you have your final design ready test it again

How You Can Check Plagiarism In An Article?
Author Bio: The article is written by Lisa Britne, the marketing manager for Classic PDF
Editor, which specializes as PDFconversion and PDF Editing features.
Plagiarism a common Practice
Nowadays, Plagiarism has become very common.
In order to save time and gain marks, people
(students) do plagiarism.
After doing plagiarism, for the time being
students feel relax that their task has been
done/submitted. But in a longer run, these
students actually deceive themselves.
At first students feel proud that they have copied
someone’s task or project but later on it cost
them so much. Secondly, so many plagiarism
checking tools have been launched in the market.
So, you cannot easily do plagiarism. But here in this article, we will mainly stress about, how
to check plagiarism or how to find plagiarism?
Different Tools to detect Plagiarism
Most of the plagiarists depend upon the ambiguity and the immensity of the internet, so that
they may hide their activities.
Though, morally they know that, they were doing wrong and show boldness at that time.
But still they are much confident that no one can learn/judge about their misuse of the work.
But the plagiarists are totally wrong; they do not know that there has been a rapid change in
the science and technology from the last one decade.
Their plagiarism can easily be detected by the help of different tools. Though, internet has
become very fast but it is very well indexed that, you can easily spot the plagiarized content.
How Google Searches can help you?
As a writer, if you are looking for copycats then Google perhaps can be your best friend.
Google has an enormous database of sites. Google can search almost every kind of
document (including Doc and PDF). By the help of it, you can easily track down the
infringements.
In order to make a successful Google search, never use a title of your work. Because, it is a
common practice that many plagiarists only change the title of your task but the rest of the
body/content remains same.
Statistically Improbable Phrase (SIP)
The best way of checking the plagiarism is to search “statistically improbable phrase” (SIP)
in your task. A good SIP ranges between 6-12 words. It is totally unique to your work.
First, you should try to put SIP in quotes. If no matches found in that case, then go for
without the quotes to extend your search.
62. www.Seocustomer.com Page 62/92
If your work is posted online and no search works then it means Google has not indexed
your site properly. In that case, you should wait for some days and try again later on. But in
case, if the result is shown, then your task is to look closely at each individual link that does
not belong to your site (from somewhere else). By checking each and every link, first make
sure it that, this is your task.
So at the end, I will conclude in that way that Plagiarism can be easily detected by the help
of some powerful tools.
There are so many free tools; by using them you can check the plagiarism of the content.
Plagiarism Checker is one of them. It checks all the possible plagiarism and returns you the
result.

How to Make Your Social Media Strategies More
Sociable
It is common knowledge in the world of search
engine optimization that using social media
channels as promotional tools can really make
a big difference.
But did you also know that the lack of use of
proper and more “sociable” social media
techniques may not yield your desired results?
Yes, your social media marketing attempts will
be futile if you don’t know the right way to
handle a social media campaign? So what
should you do then?
Revising Your Social Media Game Plan
Why do you need to make your social media campaigns highly sociable?
There is a need to do so because social media users and subscribers primarily use social
media channels to connect with peers and colleagues, build and maintain professional and
personal networks, and obtain and share useful and practical information.
Thus, if your social media campaigns don’t cater to these needs, there is a chance that users
will ignore you completely.
Here are some suggestions on how you can revise some of your social media strategies and
adopt a more effective approach:
Use simple, clear words when sharing news, giving announcements, and promoting
products and services
As much as possible, try to veer away from using jargon and technical terms when
composing a tweet, wall post, or any other social media message. Always use terms that can
be understood by laymen so it will seem more personal and direct rather than formal and
intimidating.
Do not send bulk messages
The use of spam social media posts and messages is never a good idea. It will just increase
your chances of being banned or penalized by search engines. Send or share a small number
of frequent messages instead of blasting them in bulk amounts.
Be careful with the use of scheduled posts and shares
There are times when you can’t help but use automated message sending options like
scheduled tweets and messages due to emergency situations. Make sure to limit your use of
this message sending alternative. It is still better to send social media posts real time, all
the time!
Vary your social media posts
Following a very strict and calculated social media message sending strategy can leave your
followers, contacts, and target audiences bored and uninterested. This may prompt them to
unsubscribe as your contact. Avoid this by varying your messages so you can keep them
64. www.Seocustomer.com Page 64/92
excited and intrigued for more.
Getting more sociable on social media can truly do your site a lot of good.
You’ll gain lots of prospective target audiences and clients and get to establish a really good
reputation for your group. Are you willing to tweak your strategies a bit? If yes, then good
for you! You’re on your way to gaining the best that social media has to offer!

The Secrets from AIDA You Need to Know to
Boost Your Sale
A lot of web designers and marketers totally forget
AIDA when they design a shop.
I have seen a lot of company who has a shop in the
real world (off-line) who have started an online
shop. But suddenly in the online world they forget
everything about AIDA.
When we have our off-line retail shop we know we
have to make people aware of our shop, we have to
put some good ads in the paper and put some signs
up in the window. We have to make the people
interested in our products. They have to desire the
product. And yes – we need the action too – we
need to sell the product right.
Let me show you that off-line and on-line shops are
not so different regarding to AIDA – we just have
different tools we can use.
So what is this AIDA?
The AIDA model is a very famous model, and chances are that you may already know it. And
if you don't know it already then I am very pleased to be the one that introduces it to you.
A - Attention (Awareness): This is where you have to attract the attention of your
customer
I - Interest: Tell your customer about the advantages and benefits of your product or
service (not the features)
D - Desire: Here you will have to convince the customer that they want and desire
your product or service. And tell them that it will satisfy all their needs
A - Action: Now we have to lead the customer towards taking action and buy our
product or service
We will lose some percent of the customers moving down this ladder. But this system gives a
general understanding of how to target our market effectively.
But I just give the AIDA model a little twist. I want you to take the social media serious for
every step in the model.
Get attention from your customer
Maybe you have the best product in the world, and maybe you have the best prices in the
world – BUT (yes there is always a BUT right?). If your customers don’t know about your
product, service or your prices you will not sell anything. This is true both online and offline.
You properly want to place your offline shop on a crowded street. So you know you will have
a lot of traffic walking in front of your shop. The more people that see you shop, the more
67. www.Seocustomer.com Page 67/92
people will properly come into your shop too. Yes you will need some signs in the windows.
Maybe will put up a yellow sign saying “half price” or “Sale” from time to time?
Now you will have the attention from potential customers.
To get attention to your online shop you will have to use different tools. But in fact it’s all the
same. How do you get the traffic? Oh yes – you will have to be visible in the search engines
(I love SEO – so I love this part). If you can’t be visible in the organic free search you can
buy some Google Adwords or PPC ads on some of the other search engines. Maybe your ads
should say the same as your offline shop “half price” or “Sale”.
When somebody is landing on your page you will only have a few seconds to catch her or his
attention. First of all choose the right landing page – not the homepage – the user wants the
information she or he is looking for. Don’t make the product page to crowded. Too many
items distracting items on a page can make it difficult for the user to find what he or she is
looking for.
Remember that with social media make a massive attention. Offline people might talk to 1, 2
or 3 people. Or maybe even 10 people if they have a family dinner. But with social media
people have 50 or 75 friends. So when somebody is telling their friends “Wow I got a super
duper pair of new shoes today for only 10 dollars” 50 people will know where to get cheap
great shoes – right?
So this is the modern form of word of mouth.
Get interest from customers
So now you have the attention from some of your customers. The next step is to make them
positive interested in your product or service.
Maybe your customer has seen your yellow sign outside your offline shop and walks inside.
Yes she is interested – new shoe for only 10 dollars? Hmm interesting right? And yes one of
the first things she or he is looking for is properly the price. You might know that if your
customer is in your shop – many will buy some candy. So even though you don’t sell the
shoes you will sell a lot of candy (I just love chocolate).
So now – what about your online shop.
Yes it’s just the same. You might have a Google Adwords – telling people that you are selling
great quality Nike shoes for only 10 dollars. And you will get a lot of clicks. People are really
interested in your Nike shoes. But when they in your webshop – you might show them a
must better quality shoe for only 5 dollars more or another color. Now this could be
interested right? (I could use a new pair of shoes by the way).
The good part is that if people have been clicking on a Google Adword ad, you know they are
showing interest in your product. So your task is not so much on this interest step – you
better show them why they should act NOW. You need to make them desire your product or
service.
The social media help you with the interest too. Maybe you don’t really like theses Nike
shoes but now your friends start to talk about them on the social networks. “Do you know
you can get them in pink too?” - “They are just awesome” - “And the other day I found out I
could put them in the washing-machine too” – “wow so easy to clean”. Well now you are
interested right?
Now what about desire
Now how could be make your customer say or think “I really want those shoes”. There's a
68. www.Seocustomer.com Page 68/92
big difference between being interested in something and to desire it. You need to convert
your customers’ interest into a strong desire for your product or service.
So what happens when my girlfriend sees this pair of shoes? Well she will get very emotional;
she thinks that the shoes will change her life, career, relationship. Yes yes yes – she just has
to get those shoes. It's almost a matter of life and death. (I will not show her this article –
please don’t tell her I wrote this).
We have to communicate our messages. Make the messages interesting to our potential
customer. We will use promotions, writing news and informers encourages the customer to
engage in our product or service. With an online shop you will have a lot of opportunities to
give a lot of information to the potential customer about your product or service.
So a real desire is when you see a product, you want to touch it or try it and you will start to
imagine to get this wonderful product. Desire is really a private moment for the customer.
So it's not so easy to influence. But it's very easy to destroy the moment. If something is
wrong with the display or maybe the wanted sofa is slightly damaged. You will destroy the
moment.
But you have several tools you can use to make people desire your product. So make your
page readable, great product description. Use high quality multiple images (maybe from
different angles). Use video. If it’s possible to show your product or service “inaction” that
would great to show the potential customer.
The social media is useful here too. Your customer is aware of your product, she is
interested in it – and with the social media she will get more and more information about the
product. She will inform about it from friends – she might join a group called “We need
shoes” on Facebook (I am sure there is a group called that lol).
With social media you can engage your customers. Make a picture competition. Win
something. Give out something free. If they tell their friends about your Facebook page,
they might win something. They will start to use the social media telling about your product
and page. People will start to talk about your product. You will engage people.
And yes – your customer really wants those shoes. In fact she can’t live without those shoes.
Now we need some action
This is the final stage. We are in the sales business so we need to sell our product or service
right. Action is when the customer is paying you. This is the action we want – online or
offline.
In an offline shop you want to make sure people know and can see where to and buy it.
Make sure people don’t have to wait too long in a line to buy the product.
In an online webshop I cannot stress enough how important it is to have a very clear call to
action on your page. It must be very very easy to find your “Buy Now” or maybe your “Add
to Cart” button. So make it big and in a different color.
Make sure your “Buy Now” button is not distracted by other elements on your page. It could
be different banners. You don’t want your “Buy Now” button to compete with the other
elements.
You have to make of your mind what is most important to you. Is it to sell or to get signed
up for your email club and Facebook or Twitter accounts? You can always have the other
elements on a category page – but your product page should be as free from these
distractions as possible.
I want to show you this article about the buying process with social media. . It will show you
that you have to think of social media in every part of the buying process.

Embed a Game in Your Facebook Fanpage Design
to Make Your Brand Popular
Social media gaming is very popular these days
and you should embed a game on your Facebook
fan page to grab your target audience’s attention.
Games help you build a community and add value
to your brand. You should hire a designer cum
developer for custom game development and
Facebook fan page design.
Embed a Game in Your Facebook Fanpage
Design to Make Your Brand Popular
Many companies think that if they have a website
and a Facebook fan page, people will notice their
brand. However, in reality, brand building is not
that easy. Brand building is all about connecting with the audience and adding value to your
products/services. There are thousands of websites and fan pages out there, then why
should your target consumers notice you?
A brand can’t be successful if it does not establish a loyal fan following, and to do that
successfully, you should use social media games. You can always hire a graphic designer for
an attractive Facebook fan page design, but only a beautiful fan page won’t grab the social
media audience’s attention.
Social media games help you bond with your fans and create brand awareness among the
target audience. When people play games, they feel that they are somehow interacting with
the page owner.
Social gaming is so popular that companies like Zynga makes millions of dollars from
Facebook games. Facebook users invest both financially and emotionally in popular games
and visit the fan pages regularly to play games. From competing with Facebook friends to
building an empire, game lovers do everything for mental satisfaction.
You should utilize this addiction and develop a customized game for your fan page. Hire a
game developer for fan page customization and game installation process. With the help of a
game, you can promote your brand and encourage your customers to interact with each
other. Here are some of the usages and benefits of Facebook games.
1. Develop a Community - When you offer an interesting game in your fan page, people
start visiting your page more often and spend lots of time on your page. This way, they get
to know about products/services and start noticing your wall updates. This community
building exercise may not give you immediate profit, but it makes your brand popular and
valuable.
Web users start recognizing your fan page and ask their friends to join your fan page. After
a couple of months, you can easily convert your loyal fans into loyal customers. For instance,
if you start selling a t-shirt with your popular game characters’ face on it, most of the
gamers would love to buy it.
2. Give Them a Reason to Play - You can provide some free items to top gamers or let them
unlock some exclusive features of the game. Doing this, you will be able to engage the
visitors in the game and create a buzz in the social media network.
73. www.Seocustomer.com Page 73/92
3. Give in-game Ads- People don’t like to hear marketing messages, but when you give an
in-game ad, web users pay more attention to it. Include your brand in the game and offer
either virtual or real products to the players. This way you will be able to increase your profit
margin. While real product sales boost your business, virtual products related to the game
help you earn money without offering anything in reality.
For instance, you can ask the gamers to unlock the highest levels by paying $1. The amount
may seem small, but if one hundred gamers unlock the levels every day, then annually, you
can earn $36500.
4. Build Reputation for Philanthropy - You can participate in fund-raising activities through
Facebook gaming. Ask visitors to donate some money after playing your game. You can send
the donation money to UNESCO or Red Cross and help them build a better future for
mankind. This may not make you rich, but it will add immense value to your brand.
Social media gaming is a growing trend and you should take advantage of this trend. Add an
interactive game in your Facebook fanpage design to increase your fan base. Following these
guidelines you can build goodwill in the industry and grab your target consumers’ attention.

How to Write a Killer Headline
We all want to write a good headline – and there
are some great tricks that I will share with you.
So when you write a blog, ad, article or maybe a
Direct Mail – you will get the attention from the
people who read it.
But without a killer headline - people will not read
your page, it doesn't really matter what you have
done regarding SEO, your bounce rate will be high -
and you will not sell anything.
Start with the headline
Yes of course you will say. But not everybody is doing this. If you start with the content –
you will be put tin the position where you might have to reverse-engineer your promise.
Give a promises to the reader in the headline. This way you will force yourself to
communicate the benefit that your text will deliver to the reader – in exchange for spending
time (valuable time).
The headline is very critical – in just a few words, you will have to attract visitors, reduce
bounce and boost your conversion.
I am an SEO guy – so I will tell you to remember to use your keyword in the headline too.
So – hmm – I will have to tell you how to write this killer text right? That’s my promise.
Headlines are not science but art
Well – I hope you agree that a headline is important – and I wish I could give you 10 rules
and say – here you are. But you are not so lucky.
To write a great headline is an art, but it's not a science. But I can give you some good
general guidelines.
So grab your cup of coffee – here we go…
Catchy – you have to grab the reader’s attention. Remember the AIDA model
The main point – your headline should summarize the main point in your article
Curiosity – could you make the reader curious about your text – you really made a
great headline right? Did I make you curious with the headline – “How to write a
killer headline”?
Not too long (and not too short) – if it's too long – the reader has already left your
page again. If it's too short it might be boring
Get inspired – read other blogs and magazines
How to – this is a great way to grab attention. Just like my headline in this article –
well remember not to overuse it – so you will end up with 50 articles all with “How
to …”
Lists, with numbers – you can make a headline like this “10 tips …”
75. www.Seocustomer.com Page 75/92
Say it – say your headline out loud. Show it to your girlfriend or boyfriend. Come up
with 3 or 4 headlines and ask for their opinion
Question headline? Always great to use a question. I could have “Do you know how
to write a headline?”
Write it first – yes as I told you before – start with the headline not the content of the
article

How to Optimize Your Website for Local
Business
Google has been putting a lot of effort recently into
serving localized results so that searchers can find
a relevant business close to them.
For example, if you look for a "plumber in
Swindon" or a "flower shop in Cirencester", Google
prioritizes the websites of businesses that are in
those locations.
Also, Google can use your location settings in the
browser to work out where you are, so if you
search for just "flower shop" and the search results
show your location automatically, chances are that
Google will serve businesses automatically relevant
to your area.
As a business owner serving a local catchment
area, there are several things you can do to ensure
that your website appears for searchers in your
area - also to ensure you appear above your
competitors. Here are some tips for you.
Google Places
Make sure your business is listed on Google Places, which is tied to Google Maps. If you are
not listed at all, add yourself and complete as much of the profile information as possible.
Remember to use keywords that describe your products and services so that your company
will match when people search for those keywords.
Submitting to Google Places means going through a verification procedure to prove you
operate from your given address.
Add your business to other local directories
Ensure you are listed in other directories with your full address - including Yell.com, Free
Index, Brownbook, Thomson Local and any other local directories that may be available in
your area.
Ensure your website is "localized"
Check the pages of your website to make sure your address and other local information is on
there.
If you serve a number of key towns in your area, mention these sensibly, so that Google can
read the town names in your pages and hence display these pages in search results.
One thing you could do, if this idea suits your business, is to create a page for each town
where you feature local information relative to customers in that town.
Maybe you have multiple branches you can write about.
79. www.Seocustomer.com Page 79/92
Use blog and news articles to boost your local authority
Posting articles on your site related to the towns you serve is a great way to increase the
relevance of your website to those towns.
The more relevant you are, the more likely you are to appear when someone is looking for
your type of company in your area.
Look for local social relationships
Look for Twitter accounts related to your locality and follow these accounts.
Do the same on Facebook, looking for local pages to like. You should then start to interact
with these accounts, to build a relationship with them.

My Top 10 Social Media Marketing Tips
Social Media – what is it?
Yes, you have probably heard this question plenty
of times. I have too. Nevertheless, I will still
provide a quick overview on it.
So, for those readers who have little idea on what
it involves, you can obtain basic insight from the
following details.
According to Wikipedia, it is the following:
It uses mobile and Web-based
technologies to communicate through interactive
dialogue.
It serves as a tool for social interaction.
It is enabled by universally accessible communication strategies; thus, changing how
many people, organizations, and communities communicate.
What is the use of social media?
It actually has several purposes. But since our main topic is using it for marketing purposes,
allow me to point out its functions for entrepreneurs. These usually consist of the following:
Networking among industries
Knowing the customers’ opinions or feedbacks on your services or products
Disseminating company updates and news
Providing good customer service by answering inquiries
Collaborating with internal members
Now that you are aware of its purposes, I will now share with you my top ten ideas on…
How to use social media for marketing
1. Go for platforms with the most users
Well, some of the leading sites include Facebook, YouTube, Google+, Twitter, Linkedin, and
Flickr.
Now, you should not just choose any media. You also have to find out which ones are more
favorable among your target customers. You would not want to waste your time creating a
profile page on a specific site only to realize that most of your prospects prefer another
social network.
Therefore, take time to research on the most effective platforms by sending a survey,
creating a poll, or using monitoring tools.
81. www.Seocustomer.com Page 81/92
2. Look into your competitors’ activities
As you are doing this, take into account important aspects such as the following:
The sites they are members on and the amount of followers or views
Their published content
Their promotional means and techniques
3. Identify your objectives
It will be easier for you to achieve your targets and share information with your prospects if
you come up with goals.
4. Create content
And, while you are at it, make sure that you do not forget the following characteristics to
attract several readers.
Fresh
Unique
Interesting
Engaging
5. Allow social sharing
You can do this by adding buttons, which the users can click to follow or share the content.
This way, you can interact and form a good relationship with your customers.
6. Refrain from making it all about YOU
When you tweet and post blogs or comments, ensure the content is relevant. Remember,
you are marketing your company’s offers and not yourself.
7. Participate actively
You can be an active member by posting fresh content, commenting on other blogs, and
updating your profile page. And, do all these (as well as other social media activities)
regularly to increase traffic and boost credibility.
8. Use headlines
Just as many journalists do for their write-ups, you must also create eye-catching and
interesting titles, so you can attract the attention of more readers.
82. www.Seocustomer.com Page 82/92
9. Publish events
If your company plans to organize product launches and other marketing functions, do not
forget to inform your followers about it on your profile page.
10. Create a network
When you are doing this, do not just randomly follow or invite any member you spot. You
have to choose individuals from within your target market. Finally, you can offer incentives
(e.g. promotional products or free services) to express appreciation and gratitude.
So, there you have it. These are my top ten social media marketing tips.
Before I end this topic, I have one important reminder – explore. You can find several ways
on how to make good use of social platforms. Know what these are, so you can reap their
benefits.

Yahoo Site Explorer Replaced With Bing Link
Explorer
Now all those SEO users who wanted to go
deep into a website linking and know exactly
where the links are coming from can use
Bing site explorer.
Bing has officially launched the latest update for
its webmaster tools which has been named as
phoenix (Looks like they are inspired by Google).
This update introduces a lot of new features, a
new interface and SEO tools. One of the most
interesting and useful tools provided by Bing in
this update is Link Explorer.
Remember Yahoo Site Explorer that was made
unavailable to all of us in the last year? Yes, the
one that we all SEO’s loved so much. The Bing
Link Explorer is an upgraded version of it.
It allows users to view links not just for their own website but for any website on the
internet by using many new filters as compared to Yahoo Link Explorer.
Users can base their search by choosing any or multiple options from the below list:
Site Filter
Source Filter
Scope Filter
Anchor Text Filter
Query Filter
However, users are required to have minimum one site in Bing Webmaster Tools that has
been verified in order to use the tools. If you don’t own a website then this could be
problematic for you.
The tool is still in the beta phase which means that it does not provide all the functionalities.
For instance, it won’t tell you the number of incoming links as it used to tell in the Yahoo’s
version. There are many more aspects which need improvement but it does not mean that it
is not useful.
Businesses, organizations and online marketing companies have to understand one thing
very clearly here. Bing accounts for around 10-15% of the overall traffic which might not
look threatening in front of Google’s share but still this is a very significant portion and could
become the deciding factor in the success or failure of a business.
Ignore it today and you might not be very happy about it in the future. Moreover, you
probably have a continuous online marketing and SEO campaign going on for your business
therefore it won’t harm you if you include Bing into it.
Bing has made efforts to increase its share in the search engine domain but hasn’t been
very successful. However, Businesses should include it in their SEO campaigns to keep
themselves safe and a few steps ahead of others.

How to "Steal" Your Competitors Traffic
I want to show a really awesome technic about
how you can steal some of your competitor’s traffic
and get higher ranking. And the best part is that
it’s free.
I am not using any magic or black hat strategy. Yes
all is white hat – and still you can steal some traffic
to your own site.
Maybe your boss has asked you these questions –
where do we get high quality links? How many do
we need before getting our high ranking?
With this technique you can very easily and
secretly check out how and why your competitor is
getting their traffic.
So grab your coffee … ready?
Step 1) The James Bond step
First we are going to play a spy. We need to know why and how your competitor is getting
all the traffic.
So we are using some reverse search engine technique.
So I am going to put on my eyeglasses. Well I will need some help from the free software
called “SEO SpyGlass”. Just type “SEO SpyGlass” into a Google search and you will find it.
Download it so it's ready for use.
Step 2) Find your competitor
I have this website www.SeoCustomer.com – and this is a blog about Search Engine
Optimization – so I want to outrank the website www.Seroundtable.com.
You can also just find a top-ranking competitor and try to understand why they are ranking
so well.
Step 3) Time to spy
I will write www.seroundtable.com and click next.
Now the software will collect search engine data
for that website. I will just take a minute or two
then you are done.
87. www.Seocustomer.com Page 87/92
When it's done click finish – and say yes when it
will ask you if you would like to update your
project for backlinks factors now.
If the website you are checking has a lot of
backlinks this step can take a few minutes. So
get yourself a new cup of coffee now.
Step 4) Investigate your results
Now it’s time to check out the data we found in step one.
Now you can see the backlink page, the anchor text and much more relevant data.
Step 5) Knowledge is power
Now you have the power in your hands. You
know which websites that are linked to your
competitors website. So now it’s time for some
dirty work.
Check out the websites on the list.
Some of the websites could be some kind of an
industry list with company names. So be sure
you are on the same list.
Maybe there are some blogs where you also can
make a comment.
Maybe you should write an email to the owners of some of the websites and ask for a
backlink to your website – because you have some relevant information too.
Well I will have to check some of the backlinks now …

Facebook charged with privacy lawsuit
Facebook is now being addressed by a nice and
rigid lawsuit regarding privacy.
Law Firm Stewarts Law US stated that it has
integrated 21 privacy lawsuits against the social
network into one big unit against Facebook. The
basic theme of the allegation is that Facebook is
violating user privacy by tracking their usage on
the website.
The U.S Wiretap Act that gives constitutional
compensation of per than $100 violation per day
which would accumulate up to $10,000 for every
Facebook user. Seeing how this is a way of
accumulating, the sum that the law firm asked for
is $15 billion.
This isn’t the first time Facebook has met with a
lawsuit. A civil lawsuit in California struck the site
in 2009 as well. The subject of the lawsuit was the
same as this one i.e. the company went against
state’s consumer privacy laws. Just in March, Facebook was also charged by 13 persons
subsequent to putting up their address books without even asking them. Along with
Facebook, this lawsuit also consisted of Path, Twitter, and Apple.
Stewarts is a pretty smart law firm for whom timing really matters. The firm filed the lawsuit
merely hours before Facebook was all ready to put up their shares on NASDAQ for $38. In
the offering, Facebook would have earned would be somewhere around 14 billion dollars.
Facebook will get 14 billion dollars and Stewarts wants 15 billion dollars- pretty interesting
coincidence.
David Strait who is a partner at Stewarts stated that the firm is looking for ways in which
Facebook users who do not reside in the United States could be added on to the list of
victims. Seeing how the list could increase, so could the amount that Facebook is supposed
to pay.
That surely isn’t good news for the social networking giant seeing how some of the
shareholders have also sued the company, some banks and also the CEO Mark Zuckerburg.
The reason behind that is that they are stating that important details were hidden ahead of
Face book’s IPO.
Filed in the U.S. District Court in Manhattan, the defendants are convicted because of their
failure to give information in the crucial days leading to the initial public offering there was
severe and pronounced reduction in forecasts for Face book’s revenue growth.
Facebook better hope it gets its share of profit since Facebook has been criticized by the
regulators not only in America but also in Europe and Germany regarding how it protects
user information. The basic thing to worry about over here is that Facebook can even still
keep tracking the users even after they have logged out. Previous year, a German data-
protection agency stated that it may actually charge Menlo Park, the California-based
company involved in facial recognition software utilized by Facebook for tagging photos.
Everyone likes to know about each other but things get freaky when people you don’t even
know start finding out things about you. Many people even share their personal details on
Facebook that they wouldn’t want a third person to find out. Tracking has become an area of
concern as many phones can now even be supervised using mobile tracking software. All the
89. www.Seocustomer.com Page 89/92
activities done or though can be figured out with the help of software like Mobistealth spy
software blackberry or Flexispy.
This software however has a known installer and it’s on a much limited scale as compared to
the tracking Facebook does.

Which PPC ad is the winner?
If you have been doing Google Adwords or other

www.splittestcalculator.com.
This is a A/B test calculator.
Really awesome if you have a split test with 2 ads.
I have made this example to show you how to
declare a winner of the split test. I have 5 ads
competing against each other.
Impressions first
When creating an ad – you are also creating a keyword. When somebody searches for your
keyword, your ad can be displayed.
So you will have to have the right keywords. With no impression you will have no display
and therefor no sale.
So your measurement should always start with the impressions.
In my example here the ads all got 10.810 impressions.
Clicks and cost
Next measurement is the clicks. How many people are actually clicking on your ads? In my
example ad 1 got 536 clicks, but ad 4 is leading with 1063 clicks.
You are only paying when somebody is clicking on your ad – so you will have to check out
your costs too. Ad 2 is the ad with the lowest cost (182 dollars).
With cost and clicks you have now the possibility to calculate the CTR (Click Through Rate)
and the CV (Conversion Rate).
But now you will have a problem. If you are using the Conversion Rate what about the
impressions, the click through rate or the average sale amount?
What is the best scenario – to have a high CTR and a low CR? Or a low CR and a high CTR?
Or maybe a mid-range CTR and a mid-range CR? You see the problem? Which ad is the
winner?
