  2. 2. Introduction •My major is cosmology (宇宙学) • I graduated from Tohoku University(东北⼤学) in Japan (2011) • Hayato Shimabukuro (島袋隼⼠) • I got a Ph.D. at Nagoya University(名古屋⼤学) in Japan (2016) • I experienced the Paris observatory(2016-2018) and Tsinghua University(2018-2019)as a postdoc (博⼠后) • I am currently working at Yunnan University SWIFAR as an associate research professor • I have 18 professional papers and got NSFC grants.
Our universe is very beautiful and fascinating.
Our universe is very beautiful and fascinating. •For a long history of human beings, our idea of the universe was drastically changed and we developed modern physics.
Our universe is very beautiful and fascinating. •For a long history of human beings, our idea of the universe was drastically changed and we developed modern physics.
  6. 6. 1.天⽂学的意义 •Our universe is very beautiful and fascinating. •For a long history of human beings, our idea of the universe was drastically changed and we developed modern physics. Galileo Galilei (1564-1642)
  7. 7. 1.天⽂学的意义 •Our universe is very beautiful and fascinating. •For a long history of human beings, our idea of the universe was drastically changed and we developed modern physics. Galileo Galilei (1564-1642) Isaac Newton (1642-1727)
  8. 8. 1.天⽂学的意义 •Our universe is very beautiful and fascinating. •For a long history of human beings, our idea of the universe was drastically changed and we developed modern physics. Galileo Galilei (1564-1642) Isaac Newton (1642-1727) •The knowledge of physics changed our life.
  9. 9. 1.天⽂学的意义 •Our universe is very beautiful and fascinating. •For a long history of human beings, our idea of the universe was drastically changed and we developed modern physics. Galileo Galilei (1564-1642) Isaac Newton (1642-1727) •The knowledge of physics changed our life. •Students can learn astronomy is associated with our life in my lecture
  10. 10. •Our universe is very beautiful and fascinating. •For a long history of human beings, our idea of the universe was drastically changed and we developed modern physics. •The knowledge of physics changed our life. •Students can learn astronomy is associated with our life in my lecture 1.
  11. 11. ⿊洞 引⼒波 •In recent years, astronomy has become more and more advanced. For example, we first detected a gravitational wave (引⼒波) in 2016 and first observed blackhole (⿊洞) in 2019 •Many Nobel prize has been awarded for astronomy •However, there are still many mysteries in the universe. (e.g. Is there another intelligent life in the universe? What is the “dark side” of the universe?) •In my lecture, I would like to tell students how the universe is wonderful and mysterious. 1.
Difficult point of my lecture 3. 拟采⽤的主要教学⽅法 •Since my lecture is conducted in English, it may be difficult for non-science major students (e.g. technical terms). Solution •I share my presentation slides in advance. •I use English and Chinese for technical terms. •Graduate students(助教) in our institute help students understand my lecture. •I use presentation slide in my lecture and use English. •My lecture is based on the textbook “今⽇天⽂”, which is translated of “Astronomy today”. •I use many photos and pictures
2 rg = 2GM c2 Mearth = 6 × 1024 kg •In my course, I evaluate students by the daily report, mid-term exam, and final exam. •In the homework, students choose one of the astronomical topics and discuss it. •In the mid-term exam, students can bring anything for the exam and discuss some topics. •In the final exam, students cannot bring anything for the exam. They should try the exam with their own brain. Students are encouraged to write reports and exams in English. But, Chinese is acceptable.
