Application Engineer: SIGMAXIM, Inc. Orange County, CA (06/2014 - 03/2016)
Providing technical services and support for automating design in Creo Parametric
(Pro/ENGINEER) using SmartAssembly toolkit.
• Interacted with the customers to understand project objectives, learn design rules, and
obtain data
• Create a process map
• Create necessary templates for models and drawings
• Write a structure of code files that will be run as programs to automate design:
create/update solid modeling and create/detail drawings, all per user's input
• Design user's interface graphics
• Test programs before delivery
• Update project document throughout the entire process to measure progress, note
customer's input and modifications to the process, reasons for delay and deviation from
timeline
• Technical support: answered existing customers' question and solved their problems
through a portal system
• Developed packaged product (used out-of-the-box or customized) that is used for a
specific application. Created all necessary guide documents
Design Engineer: Dynacast Lake Forest, CA (04/2012 – 06/2014)
Casting design and tool design in high-pressure die casting industry. Al and Zn alloy
castings. Pro/MOLD. Moldbase assemblies.
• Reviewed as-designed casting part from the customer.
1
2. • Participated in meetings with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to
determine optimum casting configuration (number of cavities, runner, overflows, etc.)
• Applied DFM to the as-designed part in agreement with customer.
• Designed runner, overflows, and mold split using Pro/MOLD.
• Designed moldbase assembly, including die cooling lines and adding all necessary
hardware.
• Performed design checks and reviewed final design with engineering and manufacturing
teams.
• Documented moldbase components drawing and detailing. Shared data with tool shop.
• Modified existing castings as necessary.
• Used Creo Parametric 2.0 and Windchill PDMLink.
• Worked with sales to discuss feasibility of casting parts for potential customers. Provided
quotes.

execution: overall customer mechanical layout drawing, P&ID schematics for
water/steam cycle, fuel lines, and electrical connection to control boxes. Skid
drawings for steam generators and/or feedwater systems, providing complete BOM
to manufacturing, detailing drawings for fabricated new parts/assemblies and
modified parts/assemblies, providing assembly instructional drawings to
manufacturing, including piping drawings, generating new buy-out parts as
necessary, sheet metal design and detailing. Using Pro/E Wildfire 5.0 and Windchill
PDMLink.
