Online advertising is a form of marketing and advertising which uses the
Internet to deliver promotional marketing messages to consumers. It is also
known as internet advertising. So, While using internet we may see some
types of promotional banner, links, texts etc. These are known as online ads.

1. PPC
PPC mean pay par click. PPC advertising is an excellent alternative for companies who have
the financial resources and can make an investment in order to bring targeted traffic to
their websites. . In PPC system, Advertisers are charged for each click on their ads. Google
Adwords is a great example of PPC ad networks.
2. Banner Advertising
This is an older form of online advertising. Advertisers simply put some sort of banner
(usually with a catchy image and headline) on a relevant website. But, It has many
disadvantages. So, It is loosing popularity.

This is something like email marketing. Advertisers can contact webmasters and email
programs to ask them if they are willing to sell ad space in their newsletter or e-zine.

advertisers don’t actually have to pay their affiliates a commission until the sale is made.

media can be used as a form of online advertising, and Facebook ads are excellent
examples. Facebook uses an advertising system that is very simple to implement and offers

• Ads Availability in More Platforms:
Ad networks will bring more facilities by extending their ads availability in more platforms
like bigger to tiny gadgets. People may wear digital sunglasses. Online ads will be displayed
on these glasses periodically in different ways. May be, There will be cheap taxi services.
But, Passengers will see digital online ads inside the taxy randomly.

Now, Advertising on internet is very easy. But, In the future, It will be much more easier.
Probably, Advertisers will have an automated ad bot which will analyze and show some
statistics of next advertising campaign. It will help advertisers to reduce their ad cost and
increase engagements.

• Reign of Social Advertising
In social media, Advertisers can send their promotional messages to the targeted audiences
more conveniently. If it keeps happening, Social advertising will be the first choice of the
advertisers.

In the future, Peoples will see more ads in every platform. It won’t be a good thing indeed.

Advertisers or ad agencies are now more aggressive than previous years. They are trying
everything to reach their ads to targeted audiences. In the future, It will be happening
rapidly which won’t be a good thing for user’s privacy.

Privacy was never been risk free.

A sort of scripts that tracks users activity and pass it to the ad servers. It helps ad servers to
serve relevant ads to each users. But, It’s a moderate threat for users’ privacy.

A sort of malicious scripts that tracks users activity and pass it third-party
and display malicious ads. It is responsible for malware or spyware attacks.

• Using Microphone To Track Voice Activities
Voice recognition is not a dream now. So, In the future ad farms may track your voice
activities anonymously to serve more relevant ads to you.
• Using GPS more Aggressively
GPS is being used in some ad networks. But, In the future, It will be used more aggressively.
Users will see display ads, promotional messages or paid recommendations based on their
accurate location.

According to the current situations, We don’t have much to do. These are some suggestions
that can stop third-party advertisers to get your private data.
• Sending Don’t Track Request.
• Disabling Cookies in Web Browsers.
• Disabling Third-party apps or services to access GPS.
• Avoiding Free Software or Services
17. Conclusion
Online advertising is definitely a good thing. Getting relevant ads is also
very good for users. But, Aggressively tracking users activities is not fair
enough. A good user friendly policy can reduce privacy concern and help
advertisers to get more engaged customers.
