Antonio Barranco has had over 16 years’
experience in HR leadership positions at
Transmarítima del Caribe and Drummond
Company. His previous role was Vice
President of HR at Copa Airlines and
Antonio has been Vice President of HR at
Banco Colpatria, part of Scotiabank Group
since 2012.
Beatriz has vast experience in the design
and implementation of the strategic
processes of HR aligned with the vision
of the business, and in the creation and
development of processes with emphasis
on organizational changes, mergers and
acquisitions, work-life balance programs,
EVP programs and talent development
strategies.
During her management of HR, Elena
has brought about a transformation of
the concept of Human Resources within
the bank from focus on administration to
a focus on people management, centred
on the development of leaders, the
optimization of internal communication
and the improvement of the working
environment.
Claudio’s previous roles have included
Head of HR at HSBC Bank Mexico and
Senior HR Business Partner at HSBC
Brazil. His key achievements include
driving the development of HR strategy
and creating and leading complex change

Fernando is a graduate of Business
Administration from the Catholic
University of Bolivia. He started his
career in HR in 1998 and has worked at
companies including Citibank, Cementera
Soboce, Bolivian Foods and Altifibers.
Tomás serves as Regional Head of Human
Resources for ACE Latin America. He is
responsible for all countries in the region:
Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Peru,
Puerto Rico, Central America and Mexico.
John started his career in HR in
executive compensation consulting at
Hewitt Associates in 1997, and has held
consultancy and leadership positions at
Motorola, Diversey and Aon. In 2008, he
took over as VP of Global Compensation
for Aon and HR Director for Aon Latin
America.
Carlos has a Masters in Social
Communication from the UFRJ and
Social History from the State University
of Rio de Janeiro. He is a Doctor of
Psychology from the University of São
Paulo and has worked at the Bank of
Brazil for 27 years.
Paula is currently Organizational
Effectiveness Manager at BBVA Francés
and responsible for cultural and work
environment and Head of organizational
structure. Paula has been at BBVA
Francés since 1992 when she graduated
in Humanities specializing in Human
Relations.
A graduate of Business Administration
from FASP-SP with Post Graduate studies
in international business administration
from FAAP-SP, Roberta has more than 20
years’ experience in HR at BankBoston,
Telefónica and now at Marítima Seguros.
Guilherme has 27 years’ experience in HR,
working for many national and multina-
tional companies, such as Unilever, TAM
Airlines and LG Electronics. He has experi-
ence in enterprise reorganization and
human resources strategic management,
focusing on organizational structure,
talent management, succession planning,
training and development and culture
management.
Márcia is a graduate from UNI/BH with
post graduate studies in Culture and
Organizational Well Being Management.
She is a specialist in business consulting.
She started at Caixa in 1981 where she
has held various functions.
Jorge has 15 years’ experience in HR,
9 of those in the Microfinancial sector.
His responsibilities include developing
strategies for recruitment, compensation
and organizational development, always
taking the approach of HR as a strategic
business partner.
Denise has a post graduate degree in
People Management from the FGV as
well as in Strategic Administration from
IBMEC. With over 30 years in HR, Denise
is also a professor of the Post Graduate
Strategic People Management degree at
IBMEC.
Jorge has been a Senior Global Human
Resources Executive in Global Multi-
National Leading Corporations for more
than 35 years. He is current Secretary
General of the World Federation of People
Management Associations and President
of the North American Human Resources
Management Association.
Carla has HR experience in multinational
companies in the IT and insurance
segments, with responsibility for
organizational training and development,
remuneration and operations, education,
internal communications, recruitment and
selection. She has also participated in the
re-engineering of companies and cultures,
as well as developing executive teams.
Marilia has more than 20 years’
experience in Banking, Financial Services
and Industry as an HR executive. Her
specialties include Human Resources
strategic planning and development,
M&A and change management and social
responsibility initiatives.
Augusto has been at Bancolombia since
1980 holding various and diverse roles
such as Director of Channel Distribution,
Vice President of Business and since
2011 VP of People Management. Since
2013 he has been leading the transition
from HSBC to the current Banistmo from
Bancolombia.
Ariel Regatky is responsible for succession
planning, performance management and
learning and development at Citi Latin
America. He joined Citi in 2006 as VP of
Leadership Development for LatAm and
since then has held different roles in the
HR department.
Peter Wright is a truly global executive
experienced in leading HR functions
for some of the world’s best-known
companies. He has held senior positions

This one day workshop will be led by a leading mind in the industry who has successfully
completed an HR transformation strategy in two major banks in Mexico. You’ll hear how
to move away from a transactional and operational HR model and learn the key steps
and processes for creating high impact and strategic HR consultants. You will leave this
session armed with a roadmap for developing new skills and competencies within your
HR team.
•	 Defining the characteristics of an operational and transactional business partner
which includes vacancies, recruitment, selection, training and development
•	 Identifying the skills and competencies needed to create HR business partners that
can truly assist the business in a strategic way
•	 Defining the development model as well as the growth model for HR

Gerardo has more than 20 years’
experience as a business and HR
consultant. He is the former CHRO
for Grupo Financiero Banorte, an
organization with more than 27,500
employees, where he was responsible
for defining and executing the HR
strategy, including recruitment, training
and development, organization &
compensation, HR administration and
labor & union relations.
Before working at Banorte, he was
responsible for HR transformation at
the Mexican Central Bank for more
than seven years, leading the Human
Resource transformation process.
He was in charge of different areas
such as organization & compensation,
internal communication, continuous
improvement and special projects.
Prior to this, he worked for seven years

His previous role was Vice President of HR at Copa Airlines and Antonio has been Vice President of HR at Banco Colpatria, part of Scotiabank Group since 2012. Beatriz has vast experience in the design and implementation of the strategic processes of HR aligned with the vision of the business, and in the creation and development of processes with emphasis on organizational changes, mergers and acquisitions, work-life balance programs, EVP programs and talent development strategies. During her management of HR, Elena has brought about a transformation of the concept of Human Resources within the bank from focus on administration to a focus on people management, centred on the development of leaders, the optimization of internal communication and the improvement of the working environment. Claudio’s previous roles have included Head of HR at HSBC Bank Mexico and Senior HR Business Partner at HSBC Brazil. His key achievements include driving the development of HR strategy and creating and leading complex change programs. Fernando is a graduate of Business Administration from the Catholic University of Bolivia. He started his career in HR in 1998 and has worked at companies including Citibank, Cementera Soboce, Bolivian Foods and Altifibers. Tomás serves as Regional Head of Human Resources for ACE Latin America. He is responsible for all countries in the region: Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Puerto Rico, Central America and Mexico. John started his career in HR in executive compensation consulting at Hewitt Associates in 1997, and has held consultancy and leadership positions at Motorola, Diversey and Aon. In 2008, he took over as VP of Global Compensation for Aon and HR Director for Aon Latin America. Carlos has a Masters in Social Communication from the UFRJ and Social History from the State University of Rio de Janeiro. He is a Doctor of Psychology from the University of São Paulo and has worked at the Bank of Brazil for 27 years. Paula is currently Organizational Effectiveness Manager at BBVA Francés and responsible for cultural and work environment and Head of organizational structure. Paula has been at BBVA Francés since 1992 when she graduated in Humanities specializing in Human Relations. A graduate of Business Administration from FASP-SP with Post Graduate studies in international business administration from FAAP-SP, Roberta has more than 20 years’ experience in HR at BankBoston, Telefónica and now at Marítima Seguros. Guilherme has 27 years’ experience in HR, working for many national and multina- tional companies, such as Unilever, TAM Airlines and LG Electronics. He has experi- ence in enterprise reorganization and human resources strategic management, focusing on organizational structure, talent management, succession planning, training and development and culture management. Márcia is a graduate from UNI/BH with post graduate studies in Culture and Organizational Well Being Management. She is a specialist in business consulting. She started at Caixa in 1981 where she has held various functions. Jorge has 15 years’ experience in HR, 9 of those in the Microfinancial sector. His responsibilities include developing strategies for recruitment, compensation and organizational development, always taking the approach of HR as a strategic business partner. Denise has a post graduate degree in People Management from the FGV as well as in Strategic Administration from IBMEC. With over 30 years in HR, Denise is also a professor of the Post Graduate Strategic People Management degree at IBMEC. Jorge has been a Senior Global Human Resources Executive in Global Multi- National Leading Corporations for more than 35 years. He is current Secretary General of the World Federation of People Management Associations and President of the North American Human Resources Management Association. Carla has HR experience in multinational companies in the IT and insurance segments, with responsibility for organizational training and development, remuneration and operations, education, internal communications, recruitment and selection. She has also participated in the re-engineering of companies and cultures, as well as developing executive teams. Marilia has more than 20 years’ experience in Banking, Financial Services and Industry as an HR executive. Augusto has been at Bancolombia since 1980 holding various and diverse roles such as Director of Channel Distribution, Vice President of Business and since 2011 VP of People Management. Ariel Regatky is responsible for succession planning, performance management and learning and development at Citi Latin America.
