Room Availabilities- The Inn at Ellis Square currently offers two types of rooms. These rooms either
include two double beds or one king size bed. The Inn at Ellis Square also offers suites. These rooms
include one king size bed as well as a separate living room. Each standard room includes cable television,
a coffee maker, ironing board with iron. Other features of the room include, high speed internet access, a
telephone with free local calls. For those guests staying in one of the suites, they will have a television
with cable, a coffee maker, ironing board with iron as well as a mini refrigerator, a microwave and free
internet connection. The Inn at Ellis Square is one of two hotels in Savannah that is completely non-
smoking.
Room Blocks- Room blocks are based on a group's history with either the hotel that they are going to be
staying at, or hotels that the groups have stayed at in the past. The size of the room block does not come
from the planners claims. The size of the room block is based on how many guests one group has. If a
group has requested a room block and then does not show up on the date then that will result in a
significant revenue loss for the hotel. From the date of reserving the room block until the date of the actual
group coming to the hotel to stay, the planner and the hotel should be in frequent communication. This is
because everyone involved should be made aware of even the smallest changes and adjustments that
deal with their stay. If a group wishes to cancel their stay, this should be done at least 30 days prior to
their stay. For the United States Marine Corporation event, they will have a room block of 40 rooms total.
This room block will provide rooms for 35 couples as well as the guest speakers.
Group Rate- The type of rate that we will be given to this group at the Inn at Ellis Square is the split rate.
This is because each individual couple will be able to chose which type of room that they want. This type
of rate is based on the different room types. There are several factors that contribute to determining the
types of rates that a group may receive. These include, the season, the days of the week, the group size,
the length of their stay, the types of rooms that they will be booking, the number of guests that are going
to be staying in each room and a few other factors. The group rate that we will receive for this group will
be $137 for the standard rooms per night and $166 for the king suite per night.
Complimentary Rooms- Because we have such a small group, we will not be receiving any
complimentary rooms. In a typical situation, a group would receive one complimentary room per 50 rooms
that they book. Because we are only renting about 35 rooms, we will not receive any complimentary
rooms from the Inn at Ellis Square.

Mighty!Air!Force!Museum!
Known*as*one*of*the*world’s*most*powerful*museum*experiences,*the*Mighty*Air*Force*Museum*Includes*a*
multitude*of*exhibits*dedicated*to*the*Eighth*Air*Force*and*World*War*II.*The*exhibits*statues*and*memorials,*
original*uniforms*and*artifacts*brought*back*by*American*soldiers*during*WWII,*short*films*and*interactive*displays,*
original*aircrafts,*engines,*and*scale*models,*an*art*gallery,*and*much*more.**

Historic!Railroad!Roundhouse!Tour!
The*Georgia*State*Railroad*Museum*is*believed*to*be*the*largest*and*most*complete*Antebellum*railroad*repair*
facility*still*in*existence*in*the*world.*Guests*can*walk*along*the*grounds*of*the*complex*where*actual*Rolling*Stock*
is*on*display,*learn*about*the*functions*each*building*served,*and*take*part*in*scheduled*activities*that*can*include*a*

The*Savannah*History*Museum*is*located*within*the*historic*Central*of*Georgia*Railway*train*shed*and*offers*a*

Industrial*Revolution*and*beyond.*The*exhibits*also*highlight*the*City’s*musical,*cultural,*and*artistic*contributions.*

The Savannah Theatre has been a hot spot for nightlife entertainment ever since its doors first opened in
1818. The shows that will be playing during the time of our stay are “Jukebox!” and “Savannah Live”. In
Jukebox!, popular music and professional choreography from the 1940’s to the 1980’s are presented
in a bright, colorful, and fast-moving production filled with lavish costumes and comedic skits.
Savannah Live is a high-energy 2 hour variety show that features everything from “Pop” to Broadway”

We are a full service Catering company. Our wait staff are always dressed in black
tie, and our Chefs in Chef whites. We provide a European style of service quite,
elegant and attentive.
Event Staffing costs are quoted separately based upon the unique parameters of

We are able to provide European white china plates (round), stainless steel flatware
and glass glasses.

The*Marine*Corp*Spousal*Reunion*budget*will*have*a*total*expense*of*$35,404.15*with*
a*total*income*of*$3,986.50*if*all*participants*choose*to*pay*for*participation*in*the*off0
site*activity.**Due*to*the*fact*that*this*event*is*being*completed*funded*by*the*
government*(with*an*exception*to*the*optional*off0site*activity),*our*total*income*and*
expenses*will*break*even.**This*includes*expenses*for*the*site,*refreshments,*
decorations,*security,*the*program,*prizes,*and*miscellaneous*services.*The*cost*of*the*
venue*will*be*around*$500.00*and*refreshments*for*attendees*will*cost*around*
$150.00.*Refreshments*include*all*food,*drink,*linens,*staff,*and*gratuities.**There*is*no*
on0site*catering*therefore;*most*of*our*attendees*will*be*eating*lunch*off0site.**We*
have*estimated*that*these*costs*will*be*around*$15*per*meal.*For*the*meals*eaten*at*
the*hotel,*we*will*use*an*off0site*catering*company*to*provide*a*buffet*on*the*day*of*
arrival*and*a*plated*dinner*for*two*of*the*three*evenings.**This*combined*amount*
totals*to*$8,540.*Decorations*will*run*an*estimated*total*of*$690.55,*which*includes*
flowers,*candles,*lighting,*linens,*and*signage.**All*individual*items*are*accounted*for*
with*costs*for*each*decoration.**Our*most*expensive*decoration*will*be*the*flowers*
with*9*total*bouquets*for*$44.95*each*totaling*to*around*$404.50.**Publicity*will*consist*
of*a*graphic*work*program,*photocopying/printing,*and*the*program*for*a*total*of*
$117.60.**The*overall*program*section*includes*our*most*expensive*section*on*our*
budget.**This*section*includes*cost*of*speakers,*speaker*rentals,*travel*(flight),*and*
hotel*(35*couples*for*3*days).**Program*costs*will*also*be*covered*by*the*United*States*
Marine*Corp.**At*the*event*we*will*be*handing*out*recognition*plaques*to*Marines*as*
“prizes”.**These*will*cost*around*$100*a*plaque,*which*will*total*to*about*
$3,500.00.**Our*miscellaneous*section*includes*telephone*costs,*transportation*for*3*
days,*stationery*supplies,*and*fax*services.*We*have*also*included*the*prices*of*the*off0
site*activity*of*the*dinner*boat*cruise,*which*in*total*amounts*to*$3,986.50*(included*
tickets,*rental*fees/*Georgia*service*tax).**In*addition,*it’s*important*to*note*that*we*

The 2015 Marine Corps Spousal Reunion will succeed in reuniting
those who serve in the Marine Corps with their spouses all while
enjoying a fun filled three day stay in elegant Savannah, Georgia. With
approval of the grant application, this reunion will be fully funded by The
United States Government. Throughout the visit to Savannah the
Marine Corps and their spouses will have the opportunity to experience
a number of activities, including the Riverboat Dinner Cruise as well as
numerous cultural excursions. In order to succeed in our mission of
honoring our men and women in uniform, two carefully selected marines
will be recognized with an “honorary marine award” for their
accomplishments. After thoroughly analyzing the necessary steps for
proper facilitation, creating a marketing timeline and outlining expenses
for the 2015 Marine Corp Spousal reunion, we believe we have
developed a successful three-day event for our honorary attendees. *
