HISTORY
• Born on 15 oct 1931 and Died in 21 July 2015.
• He was born and raised up in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu.
• He studied physics and aerospace engineering in MADRAS INSTITUTE
OF TECHNOLOGY in 1960.
• He was an scientist and science administrator of DEFENCE RESEARCH
AND DEVELOPMENT ORGANISATION [DRDO] and INDIAN SPACE
RESEARCH ORGANISATION[ISRO].
• HE served as 11th PRESIDENT of INDIA.

CAREER
• WELL WHO DON’T KNOW ABOUT OUR MISSLE MAN OF INDIA HE HAS
CREATED HISTORY.
• He was a scientist in DRDO and ISRO.
• He started his career by designing small hovercraft.
• When he was transferred to ISRO where he was director of
India’s first satellite launch vehicle[SLV-III]
• He served as chief scientific adviser to Prime Minister and
secretory of DRDO from July 1992 to December 1999.
• Pokhran-II nuclear were also conducted under his supervision.
• He also served as 11th PRESIDENT of INDIA.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS
• Kalam received 7 honorary decorates from 40 universities. The
Government of India honored him with the Padma Bhushan in 1981
and the Padma Vibhushan in 1990 for his work with ISRO and
DRDO and his role as a scientific advisor to the Government. In
1997, Kalam received India's highest civilian honour, the Bharat
Ratna, for his contribution to the scientific research and
modernisation of defence technology in India.In 2013, he was the
recipient of the Von Braun Award from the National Space
Society "to recognize excellence in the management and leadership
of a space-related project".

SOCIETY
• Under him many successful mission took place like AGNI and PRITHVI.
• He served as PRESIDENT of INDIA.
• HE was a scientific adviser to the defence minister.
• HE was an good motivator for this generation.

HIM….
• HE WAS ONE OF THE MOST KIND AND HARDWORKING PERSON.
• He achieved more than his dream’s but was always down to the
earth.
• He had love for everyone either its human or animal or birds.
• He has motivated us a lot by his hardwork ,speeches and with his
accomplishments.
• His speeches motivate us today also.
• HE was a fine leader.

SUMMARY
• APJ Abdul Kalam (1931-2015) was the 11th President of
India from 2002 to 2007. Kalam was born and raised in
Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu, and studied physics and aerospace
engineering. He spent the next four decades as a scientist and
science administrator, mainly at the Defence Research and
Development Organisation (DRDO) and Indian Space Research
Organisation (ISRO).
