The document summarizes key highlights from the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show (CES). It notes that CES is the global stage for innovation, attracting over 150,000 attendees annually. Emerging technologies on display included the "Internet of Everything" (connecting everyday objects), wearable technology beyond just watches, streaming interactive content, 4G connected cars with Android integration, and ultra-high definition 4K and 8K resolution TVs. The document also discusses opportunities for brands in interactive content, customized 3D printing, and how the abundance of new data can be used to better engage consumers and measure marketing ROI.

5. Internet of Everything
IoE is a new interconnected world where people will
become internet nodes and even the smallest things
will create data with big implications regarding the
optimization of traffic, healthcare, retail, public
services, sales, advertising, entertainment, etc.
It’s not only about data recollection is about knowing
what consumers, businesses and cities need each
second of the day in advance and the decisions we
can take based on the real time information gathered.
7. Wearable Tech
Wearable tech could be the greatest thing ever
invented for marketers, with devices creating real life
data, brands will be able to create constant and
relevant experiences depending on their consumers
mood, health, state of mind, biometrics, etc.
Even if the person wearing the device is not
interacting with it, it will still be generating data and
connecting with other devices. Today smart objects
optimize their function depending on the user, this
users in the future will expect that from marketing too.
9. Interactive Content
Streaming interactive content is a great opportunity
for brands and production houses, but quite a
challenge for media planners and creatives who will
have to create experiences worth interacting on a
single multi windowed screen that streams twitter
updates, facebook status, movie, games, apps and
widgets.
Companies like Roku are making it possible by
simplifying the smart tv interface and also delivering
non studio content.
11. 4G Connected Cars
The car was the newest gadget on the CES floor this
year, with 9 manufacturers like Chevrolet, Audi, BMW,
Hyundai and others showing off their innovations.
Future cars are getting smarter not only economical,
they help commute safer, are 4G connected with full
android integration and even with upgrade capabilities
as smartphones.
The more important takeaway is the focus on the driving
experience to the driver and passenger with active data
recollection about the car, driver, passengers and
environment that delivers useful information to them.
13. 4k and 8k Res Curved TV
With YouTube and Netflix announcing 4K content for
these Ultra High Resolution TVs we see an opportunity
for brands to create 4K content and commercials and
be the first to do it if relevant.
Consider the UHD TV as a way TV companies measure
their capabilities, don’t expect to see 4K TV sets as a
household item in the near future.
When they are mainstream you can expect a more
detailed, immersive, and realistic entertainment
experience, meanwhile enjoy your 1080p screen.
15. 3D Printing
3D printing makes an object appear by generating
layers of material to create a three dimensional product.
Most 3D printers are used for building prototypes for
the medical, aerospace, engineering and automotive
industries, but with the advancement of the digital
technology supporting it, these machines are moving
towards more compact units with affordable pricepoints for today’s consumer.
Brands are learning to engage with consumers with this
novelty technology, customizing products and making
them unique and personal.
17. Final Words - DATA/TRUST/EXPERIENCES
CES is an amazing show of creativity and consumers are in the
center of all this innovation, brands and agencies need to be
updated on the new technologies in order to find a way to use the
right devices, at the right time, to the right target and with all data
provided make the right decision to deliver the right brand
message or experience.
The amount of data that will be recorded and processed will be
huge, everything will be measurable, ROI will be easier to measure
since mass individual data will be available.
Creativity is still responsible for engaging with authentic
experiences that add value and build trust towards brands.

18. Final Words
Agencies and brands need to continue to focus on where their
target is, don’t try to disrupt their daily life, be relevant and add
value with your experiences.
Make your brand social, act authentic and genuine. Relationships
are based on trust, if they trust you they will share their valuable
data with you in exchange for what your brand has to offer.
The Internet of Everything offers an amazing future for marketing,
stay ahead and start thinking about it.
