3. LONG/WIDE SHOTS
These are used to show the background however, the
character also shares focus with the scene.
4. MEDIUM SHOTS
These are medium shots.These shots are the most common shots in media to show
surroundings whilst also keeping someone or something in the main focus.
9. CLOSE UP
Close ups are used to direct
the audience attention
onto the character and
perhaps to show the
characters emotion.
10. EXTREME CLOSE UP
Extreme close ups are used to show emotion or
show a specific detail during the scene.
12. OVERTHE SHOULDER SHOT
Over the shoulder shots are used so we can look through
the perspective of a character but still see other aspects
of the scene.
13. HIGH ANGLE
High angle shots can be used to show a
character looking down on us so we can
see he has the power in the scene.
14. LOW ANGLE
Low angle shots are used to show a character
looking up to us possibly to show his inferiority.
