USER EXPERIENCE (UX) PROJECTS
ه UX Design Techniques- User Experience’s with Popular Search Engines- Planned and conducted research using
both standard/traditional and innovative research methodologies. Employed Tobii Eye Tracker hardware and
software to determine user’s gaze patters when using popular search engines; collected user data from real users in
field; maintained documentation for clients and partners; analyzed and interpreted data results using quantitative
research design. Analyzed and presented findings to stakeholders. Enabled better understanding of how ads could
be implemented to help meet user end goals.
ه Human Factors & Ergonomic Society UX Consultant- UX research conducted for children’s book author Charlie
Holmberg professional webpage. I strongly advocate for the user’s experience during all phases of the product
design process, while engaging the client of her fundamental needs. Implemented user center design principles, client
and customer needs evaluated hierarchically; provided architectural deliverable of website redesign prototype-
wireframe, paper and pen
ه UX and Technology Redesign of USB Flash Drive- Translated client and consumer’s needs into effective, valuable
solutions, and frequently communicated user experience considerations to various partners and collaborators.
Redesigned USB flash drive after conducting in depth user/ stakeholders interviews, card sorting, utilized a
responsive design approach; created high fidelity prototypes of redesign; conducted user reviews of redesign
prototype; finished with design report (available upon request)
ه Universally Designed Web Pages- Creatively solved hard problems, which come about with inclusive user
experience research designs. Employed scenarios & personas were created to help illustrate the individual needs of
various user populations. User-center design implementation was created to accommodate these populations;
practice with positive web design principles; end goal to accommodate more diverse users on various sites
ه University of Idaho Bookstore and Bookstore Website Redesign- Introduced and implemented a user centered
design process incorporating both quantitative and qualitative user experience research, including usability testing,
hierarchical user analysis, site analytics and user surveys. Developed user website design standard; user analysis to
create task flow; created and directed production of interaction design and information architecture deliverables
including wireframes, virtual walk through, site maps and page flow documentation.
2. RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
Research Lead:
Detection and Localization of Vehicle Noise among Older Adults (2012-2014)
ه Identified factors that affected older adults street crossing abilities as pedestrians
ه Assisted Dr. Roger Lew in creating program to run auditory detection and localization task for experiment (using
Python)
ه Developed protocol for data collection
ه Authored the proposal for detection and localization of vehicle noise among older adults
ه Assembled measurements to capture participants cognitive, physical, and perceptual abilities
ه Planned and scheduled participants for data collection
ه Analyzed data using SPSS and interpreted data results
ه Master’s thesis
Safety Research: Vehicle Noise Perceived Threats (2012-2013)
Research Assistant:
ه Intercultural Perceptions of Language Research (2013)
ه Online Dating Research (2012)
ه Language Attitudes Research (2011)
ه Directed Study: Aging Research (2011-2012)
