GFA Finance Officer Vacancy
1. VACANCY
The Grenada Football Association invites applications from dynamic, qualified and energetic candidates
for the following position:
FINANCE OFFICER
Responsibilities:
The Finance Officer will report to the General Secretary.
He/She will be responsible for the management and control of the financial affairs of the
Association.
Responsibilities:
(i) Ensuring that all required financial documentation for FIFA, CONCACAF, CFU and other
organizations are duly complied with in a timely and accurate manner.
(ii) Developing, introducing and managing financial control procedures to ensure that all funds are
properly spent and accounted for and all income is properly recorded.
(iii) Vetting and making recommendations on all contracts that have financial implications for the
Association.
(iv) Coordinating meetings of the Association's finance committee, recording the minutes and
implementing decisions of the finance committee, when approved by the Executive Committee.
(v) Drafting annual budgets (income and expenditure) for analysis and approval.
(vi) Analysing income and expenditure as compared to the budget on a quarterly basis and making
reports to the finance committee.
(vii) Ensuring that the finances of the Association are properly managed.
(viii) Liaising with and assisting the external auditors of the Association.
(ix) Ensuring that the statutes of the Association pertaining to financial matters are fully complied
with.
(x) Liaising with the commerce and competitions departments on the sponsorship and commercial
activities of the GFA.
(xi) Introducing modern accounting systems and practices
(xii)Meeting the regulatory and reporting requirements under the appropriate legislation.
2. Requirements:
The Finance Officer must:
1. Have a B.Sc in Accounting with a minimum five years professional experience in a computerized
financial environment and / or,
2. Possess ACCA qualifilifications with a minimum of three (3) years professional experience in a
computerized financial environment
3. Possess and display exceptional leadership, communication (oral & written) and organizational
skills;
4. Be computer literate and possess familiarity with computerized Accounting Packages (including
cost accounting) and International Accounting Standards.
5. Have a proven ability to work effectively as part of a team
6. NO criminal record
Remuneration: Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
