- Stephen to present . . .Still rank well on the unemployment rateEven though the 2008 anticipated result may give Halifax a red light, Halifax continues to have one of the lowest unemployment rates in the country and accounts for much of the employment growth in the province. Recent cyclical downturns have hurt our performance but by less than many other centres.
