FOODIESCHEF HIRING AND FOOD APP
The project involved designing a mobile
application for a food startup.
The client approached me after seeing my
online portfolio and he wanted to design an
application that’s centered around the user.
The UX UI process involved exploring dif-
ferent approaches and visual designs, doing
user research, flows, UI sketches, building
personas and hi-fi wireframes.
These are just a few of the screens that I
was allowed by the client to show as the
rest are under NDA.

HEALTH APP
The project involved designing a mobile app
that would test the local market, since the
company had multiple location around the
county and they wanted to explore the mo-
bile market as a way to tailor their services
to the business and tech savy.
I worked closely with the client coming
up with solutions and features that would
make the app stand out and thus break into
the market place, generating sales rapidly
and brand exposure.
Most of the app and UX process is under
NDA, these screens being the only ones
allowed to be shown as the rest contains
sensitive data and unique features.

The design was created as part of a creative
exercise after seeing their original website
fi
improvements on the visual and user expe-

Knowing that each time a major redesign is
suddently launched, user groups get con-
fused. I decided to take their existing layout
but improve it by incorporating more visual
and ux elements.
Thus some custom UI elements were creat-
fi
which was selected as a way to boost the

increasing click through rate.

The main purpose was to create a website

aspects.
Another key factor was to let users
experience some of the music they have
created and what clients have they worked
with when visiting their website, while also

WARRIORDOCUMENTARY WEBSITE
The project is one of the most intriguing
and interesting websites that I’ve did
during my early career.
I was approached by the client via a popular
freelancing website and it involved design-
ing a website for a documentary that would
be shot alongside the National Geographic
crew.
It involved using certain assets provided by
the client , following a certain theme and
art direction and waiting for feedback from
the documentary director himself. From
a technical point of view it involved using
advanced photo manipulation and compo-
sition techniques in order to blend multiple
images and achieve the desired dark look

The next website in my series of creative
exercises that were aimed to approach a
different design style that I haven’t done
in a while.
This time the purpose was to redesign their
existing website as a way to better promote
their product for both new & returning
users. Keeping this in mind I’ve narrowed
down the key features that makes this
product unique as well as indentify the user
groups that would visit the website, these
were: press, new users, pro users. Thus the
need to create a page that would be target-
ed at each of these users need.
After a breakdown of their interest and
reason for visiting the website, I was able to
identify the key areas that would be pres-
ent on the website.
The actual design was done to match their
product artstyle thus a lot of custom UI
elements were created that would have an

a fully working architecture visualization.
After creating the model in 3D, I went

composited and post produced in

will attract people. The project got featured

POST PRODUCTION
A project involved creating an interior

The original renders were done in 3DS Max
but in order to meet the deadline some
basic renders were created in order to have
a base for the composition.
Then furniture and other assets were
added in the renders to make them feel
more attractive, this way what would have
taken days to achieve in a 3D software, was
done in a few hours.
By using this approach I was able to pro-

Water Tower
Water
TowerReconversion
The Project consisted in taking a classic water
tower and convert it into a loft, were a small
family could live in while keeping the general
water tower shape intact.
Sunscreen to generate shade, due to
the excessive height of the building
Outdoor decks to enjoy the
panorama, the breeze as well as having
privileges similar to owning a house, like
having an outside jacuzzi, grill.etc
Curved shielding to provide shade
and intimacy in key areas of the building.
My vision was to create a really modern tower, that will stand out in
the urban space. Having a modern look will make it more appealing
to people to want to live there, while forgetting the fact that it once
was a simple water tower.

The project involved creating a church on any desired site in the

Urban Planning
& Landscape design
The project involved creating a youth center on a predefined site, situated next
to the towns creek Peta. The site is near the end of the towns residential area
and the start of the city’s commercial zone and the aim was too see how we
could blend the site with the surroundings, as well as our vision regarding a
youth center that would attract teenagers.

Building site
The urban planning phase, involved height analysis of the buildings
in the area, zoning of different areas, proposals of greenery, bridges
over the towns creek, bus stations, public rest rooms, parking
spaces and other aspects like sidewalk enlargement, road
crossings,etc.
The first step, involved
doing a site analysis of the
area which involved high-
lighting the building heights
and also identifying the dif-
ferent zones that area found
in the area. Afterwards this
was done, the urban pro-
posal part took place which
involved proposing things
such as underground park-
ing area, bus stations,

79. Building Placement & Concept
Proposed site
Landscape design
The landscape design phase, involved taking into consideration
things like walking patterns, routes, points of interest from the
area, local climate and providing a solution that will blend the
proposed building into it’s natural surroundings.
The main building concept, came from the idea to connect the
two major walking areas with a curved walking route that will
offer stunning perspectives of the natural surroundings. The
curved route, dictated the need to create a circular type
building, and thus the idea of a snail shell like structure
appeared.
TThe building placement was set based on the following key as-
pects: it shouldn’t disrupt the natural walking pattern, it should
offer a good focal point when viewed from a far, it shouldn’t be
placed next to the sport courts due to noise pollution or the
creek due to potential danger that children may face and it
also should have easy car access to minimize the impact of
greenery.

The site features 2

Long corridors creating
a tunnel like feeling to
the inhabitants
By having a curved building
shape, the extra long corridors
appear shorter due to the
continous perspective
being interrupted.
All rooms benefit from more
ssunlight, not only at mid day
but also at sunrise and sunset.
The curved shape, provides
an excellent panoramic view of
the stunning surroundings.
The Main Building Shape Concept
The concept behind the small squarish module
was to have an interior garden space while also
avoiding the feel that you are stuck between 4
walls while offering the maximum natural lighting
possible, thus the solution to have C shape
module. This way the module has an interior
garden with a perspective view of the surround-
iings while benefiting from natural lighting.

82. International
AirportGraduation project
The project involved creating a new international airport in
Oradea, due to the existing one although being classified as
international , it doesn’t serve any international flights due to
runway restrictions. Also the existing airport, has a flight path
that’s almost directly above the city center, as well as the site
being overwhelmed by residential housing projects, plus
many more issues described in the upcoming pages.
My vision was to create a modern airport that would make the city
stand out, and generate interest, while also providing a solution to
the existing airport problems.
The concept came from the idea of flight and motion. An Aztec plane was chosen as reference as well as an eagles
beak to break the smooth lines and make it have a more aggresive, having thus a more imposing look and feel.
The initial terminal plan sketches that started it all. These were
drawn on a sticky note, in 3-4 minutes to get the general idea of the
airport plan while keeping in mind the requirements to not intersect
the required terminal flows.
After 11 months of hard work the project was finally done, the final concept as of
September 2013 can be seen on the left.

runway markings, taxiways size as well as all the required facilities
like hangars, helipads, control tower, maintanance area, catering &
