9. Jesus Christ
Who is Jesus Christ?
What is the purpose of his life?
1. Is He born Holy?
2. Jesus had to be born!
10. Jesus Christ
God is holy but man is separated
from god because of his sin.
But god wanted to bridge the
gap between himself & man
, therefore god became a man
and was called the lord Jesus
Christ.
He is god , yet man. He is
man, yet god.
11. Jesus Birth
Matthew 1: 21-23
She will give birth to a son.
You will name him Jesus.
Give him that name because he will save his
people from their sins.”
(Even Jesus had purpose in his life.)
12. Jesus Born Holy
Matthew 1: 23
23 “The virgin will be pregnant and will give birth to a son.
They will name him Immanuel.”
(Immanuel means “God with us.”)
13. Purpose of his Life
Matthew 1: 21
Jesus was born to be
The Savior of the world.
18. Sin
Sin means things we do wrong. Because we all sin, God cannot touch
us.
We All are Sinners
Romans 3:23 For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious
standard.
Isaiah 64:6 We are all infected and impure with sin. When we display our
righteous deeds, they are nothing but filthy rags. Like autumn leaves, we
wither and fall, and our sins sweep us away like the wind.
Consequence of Sin
Romans 6:23 "When people sin, they earn what sin pays-- death.”
Why does the punishment of sin is death?
Because God is perfect and cannot be with any sin.
19. What is wrong with mankind?
Colossians 3:5-6 So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within
you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil
desires. Don’t be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping
the things of this world. Because of these sins, the anger of God is
coming.
Galatians 5:19-21 When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the
results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful
pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of
anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild
parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before,
that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
20. What IS the result of men’s sinfulness
Acc to God , No one is Righteous; All are under power of Sin. The sin which keep us
away from God. And Its Results are –
John 3:36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the
Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.
Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all
ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness
suppress the truth.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life
in Christ Jesus our Lord.
2 Thessalonians 1: 9 Such people will pay the penalty and suffer the punishment
of everlasting ruin (destruction and perdition) and eternal exclusion and
banishment from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power,
21. "But your sins separate you from your God.
The Lord sees your sins, and he turns away from you." Isaiah 59:2
24. God Loves You.
The good news is GOD LOVES YOU!
God does not want you to die for your sin
God does not want you to be destroy
But
He is Patient and Tender with you.
He wants you to turn away from your Sins.
Lets experience His Love.
27. How has God shown that he loves you?
Romans 5: 8
But God demonstrates
his own love for us in this:
While we were still sinners,
Christ died for us.
(Provision by God)
28. What provision has God made to bring men to himself?
God didn’t leave us alone in our sin but he made the provision
to bring us close to him and that is we all know.
1 Peter 3:18 - "Christ himself died for you.
And that one death paid for your sins.
He was not guilty, but he died for people
who are guilty.
He did this to bring you all to God.”
29. Why?
John 3: 16"For God loved the world so much that
he gave his one and only Son,
so that
everyone who believes in him
will not perish but have
eternal life.
30.
31.
32. Jesus AROSE from the dead!
Jesus defeated death and hell
His resurrection promises us everlasting life!
33. How it will come ?
John 20:31
But these are written so that
you may continue to BELIEVE that
Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God,
and that by believing in Him you WILL HAVE LIFE
by the power of His name.
35. Questions we generally get…
Is it true that am I going to receive eternal life, after I
die?
What is to be done to be saved?
Like wise there are so many questions for which we don’t
have any answer.
Are you sure you will go to Heaven when you die?
36.
37. Do you really not know, what you already
have and what you will receive?
Lets get the answer.
38. 1 John 5: 11, 12
11 And this is the testimony: God has given
us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
12 He who has the Son has life; and he who
does not have the Son of God has not life.
39. Assurance of Salvation.
This is the God’s testimony which itself
gives us the Assurance of Salvation.
God has already given us
eternal life as a
FREE GIFT.
40. Who gives eternal life?
God
Where is eternal life found?
In the Son of God.
Who possesses eternal life?
The one who believes in the Son of God
“JESUS CHRIST”
41. Do you know what are the results of hearing and believing in the
Son of God?
John 5 : 24
“Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes Him
who sent me
Has Eternal Life and
Will Not Be Judged but
Has Crossed Over From Death To Life.”
42. This scripture tells us what we have, what will be in our future and
what was our past….
Present :- We have eternal life.
Future :- we will not be judged.
Past :- we have already passed
from death to life.
43. Lets look at,
What God has
us?
What are the __________ to fulfill the promise?
What will be the _______ after fulfillment of condition?
44. Let’s look at:
What God has promised us?
What are the conditions to fulfill the promise?
What will be the results after fulfillment of conditions?
46. How do we receive this invisible gift from God?
Repentance Toward God!
FAITH in Jesus Christ!
47. So Repentance Means:
To be sorry for our sin, but it is more...
It means to be sorry and to tell God you are sorry for your sins, but it still
means more…
It means to say we are sorry and to turn toward God and start living to
please Him!
48. SO . . .WHAT IS FAITH?
Faith is resting on God’s promise.
Faith is taking God at His Word.
Faith is trusting God to do what He said.
49. What else takes place when a person receives
Christ?
2 Corinthians 5:17
“ Therefore, if anyone is in Christ,
he is a new creation;
old things have passed away;
behold, all things have become new.”
51. The Question of the Day:
Do you want God’s gift of salvation?
How do we accept God’s gift through repentance and faith?
We do it through prayer.
What is prayer?
Prayer is talking to God.
Prayer is telling God
how we feel…
what we believe…
what we need…
what we want.
52. Through Prayer we express our faith to God and
call on Him.
Rom 10:13 For "whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.”
Does this make sense to You?
Have you sinned?
Do you believe Jesus Died for your sin?
Do you believe you need to be saved?
Do you want to receive His gift of salvation?
53. Consider this!
If you have prayed to receive Jesus you do not need to do it again.
We do not want you to pray to be saved unless you really meant it.
Do not pray it because someone else does, do it only if you want to.
54. If you have never asked Jesus to save you, would you like to do
that today? Just bow your head and say this prayer.
Jesus, I know I have sinned.
I am sorry for my sins and ask you to forgive me.
Come into my heart today and save me.
I believe you died for me.
I believe you arose from the grave and can save me today.
I trust in you and in your promises.
This moment onwards , I Submit my life into your hand. AMEN
55. Things we need to do
We Need To Confess Our Sin Proverbs 28:13 People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they
confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy.
Hosea 5:15 Then I will return to my place until they admit their guilt and turn to
me. For as soon as trouble comes, they will earnestly search for me.”
God Forgives Our Sin - 1 John 1:7-9 But if we are living in the light, as God is in the
light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his
Son, cleanses us from all sin. If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling
ourselves and not living in the truth. But if we confess our sins to him, he is
faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.
Forgiving One Another's Sins - Luke 17:3-4 So watch yourselves! “If another
believer sins, rebuke that person; then if there is repentance, forgive. Even if that
person wrongs you seven times a day and each time turns again and asks
forgiveness, you must forgive.”
