Projects Coordinator
SCOMI OIL TOOLS
AUSTRALIA, NZ, PNG
A. RELATIONSHIPS
As the projects coordinator I reported directly to the Operations Manager Australia. The position
directly relates to Scomi Oil tools Pty operations within Australia, consisting of New Zealand & Papua
New Guinea.
This position covers all operations and technical support within Australia, Australasia and Far east
regions.
I maintained a close working relationship with all managers and supervisors within the Scomi Oil tools
Australia and Far East Regional organisation. I also provided a “hands-on” support to all departments
and actively promoted safety, client interface, adherence to Scomi Oil tools policies and procedures
and service quality including assets, Environmental procedures and Personnel.
B. PURPOSE OF POSITION
 Fully accountable for the Australian Solids Control, Waste Management, Portable
Power and future Drilling Fluids business
 Ensures highest standards of HSE
 Assist in Managing Operational teams to maximise Revenue and Profit
 Plans to maximise utilisation of equipment and manpower
 Ensure service quality is continually enhanced
 Develop and motivate staff to ensure consistently high standards of performance and
effectiveness.
Position effects of the following Dimensions

 Service Quality
 Asset Utilisation
 Australia Revenue and Operating Profit
 Scomi Oil Tools Policy Compliance
 Human Resources and Manpower turnover
C. RESPONSIBILITIES
 Actively promotes HS&E, ensuring his/her own health and safety, together with that of fellow
workers, at all times.
 Ensures that Scomi Oil tools policies are adhered to at all times.
 Prepare work schedules, track and record service activities for the region
 Assist Operations Manager in meeting business, operations and QHSE needs
 Liaise with company man/drilling contractor/regional offices on matters pertaining to solids
control/waste management including attending to Customer feedback and requirement.
 Responsible for the assistance and effective logistical support of the drilling campaigns/projects.
Approve and track Material Request from field personnel.
 Assist with developing, implementing and maintaining standards, procedures and training to
satisfy company QA requirements and client expectations,
 General Admin duties to support operations. Perform other reasonable tasks and duties, as
requested by Senior Management.
 Train, motivate and develop staff to ensure continual high standard of performance. Manage and
supervise Service Staff utilisation, has effective control of personnel, including implementation of
Company policies regarding timekeeping, holiday planning, performance reviews and disciplinary
procedures.
 Perform rig surveys and relevant reports when needed.

D. QUALITY ASSURANCE
To ensure that the Company’s quality control and quality assurance procedures are adhered to.
E. TRAINING
To actively participate in the training of personnel, recommends training needs for staff and to
evaluate the effectiveness of all completed training.
F. SAFETY
 Strives for Zero TRIR.
 Ensuring that employees adhere to relevant HSE procedures.
 Providing adequate training, information, instruction and supervision to ensure that work is
conducted without harm to people or the environment.
 Ensuring that all incidents are properly recorded and reported and that an investigation is carried
out to establish and rectify root causes.
 Actively participate in the Scomi Oil Tools HSE management system.
G. LOCATION
This position was initially located in Australia (Perth) and was controlled by the long term business
potential in Malaysia, Indonesia, South Korea, Vietnam and China.
