During this time I have learned a great deal about the set up of a new business,howto obtain new customers and
how to promote an unheard of business using social media, word of mouth and many other methods. I have
really enjoyed the marketing role in this venture.

Type of Work: Public Relations, Organising ‘Readers’ competitions, the running of social media pages,helping
with various events,updating and creating various databases.Also coordinating with journalists, writing
proposals,press releases and monthly reports including financials.
During this time I have learnt a great deal about both the P.R Industry and the Journalism industry, learning
many skills that are required in such an area. I have learned to work quickly and under pressure.I learned a great
deal about promotion, marketing and market research being of great importance. I have also learnt a great deal
about creative and interesting content and the utterimportance of a deadline.

Type of work: I am a marketing Intern in Microsoft Ireland working across the Marketing & Operations Team.
Within in this team I work across various areas of Marketing within Microsoft such as SMB, Enterprise,
Consumer, Education & Specific Product Lines. I have gained experience in many areas from content creation,
social media campaigns, events,market research, report writing, online trackers, database management &
liaising with clients and Microsoft partners. At Microsoft I have gained invaluable experience through a range of
areas across Marketing, Social Media and Content Creation.

in event planning. I had to learn a lot, quickly to contribute positively to the PR team and used my initiative to
generate engaging social media campaigns for a number of international clients.
