AD Begins  30-Jesus – love and help of each other  313-Cristianity-legalized by Roman Emperor  542-Hospital are opened in India  600-Roman empire fallen , Church commanded  787-Clergy established first modern founding Hospitals(orphan) in Italy  Almshouses for poor's and disabled people similar to France are established in Canterbury, England  1100- Roman Church issued DECRETUM

AD 1572……..  1572-England no longer depend on voluntary contribution  1601- Elizabeth poor law  1662- The law of Settlement And removal  1679- The writ of Habeas corpus instituted  1697- Workhouse System is developed in Bristol and soon spread over the England  1782- Gilbert Act passed in England  1735- Speenhamland sys is inaugurated  1833- Slavery Banned in British Empire  1834- New poor law come in to the force  1844- Young Men’s Christian Ass, London
AD 1847…….  1847- British Factory Act restricts Working Day for women & children to 10 hrs  1860- Food and Drug Act – Britain  1865- Octavia hill  1878- Willium Booth  1884- Samuel Augustus Barnet Toynbee hall – first University Settlement
AD 1900……..  1899- Newly Formed Charity Organization Societies starts practice of professional Social Work and provide training to Social workers  Standardization of Social Work by Legislature Enactment 1905 Poor law commission 1906 Meal Act 1907 Education Act 1911 National Insurance Act 1925 Old age Contributory Act 1941 Beverridge Commission 1944 Disabled person Act(employment)
