  2. PROFILE Giorgio Bragoli is a permanent employee of an international Telecoms vendor company called Voss which operates in the Unified Communications (UC) sphere. Voss is a collaboration partner of Cisco. He has spent the last year designing, developing and delivering courseware for corporate clients of Voss’s Unified Communications (UC) management platform offering. This is an umbrella platform that manages Cisco’s Unified Communications applications, software and hardware. He has also created training environments from scratch using VMWare where clients could conduct labs, tutorials and practical exercises under supervision to cement learning. Before that he spent the 3 years working as an Application Support and Infrastructure course coordinator in the London offices of FDM. He was part of the team that grew FDM from a £30 million company to a £300 million pound company in just 3 years. He was responsible for supervising, managing, mentoring, examining and tutoring over 250 graduates who have been placed on site rendering a total of £40 million to FDM over 3 years. He also has 5 years’ experience supporting Solaris and HP-UX Unix platforms in the Nortel and Alcatel vendor space for the Telco industry, 3 years in IT training and 15 months supporting Cisco networks in the Finance industry. Employment History Voss, Atlantic House, Imperial Way, Reading Sep 2014 – Present Technical Trainer Voss is a development partner of Cisco. It has a world wide presence providing Cisco’s Unified Communications clients with a management platform that manages all of Cisco’s UC applications, software and hardware. Whilst at Voss, Giorgio gained the following experience: Designed and developed courseware and delivered training for Voss’s international corporate clients in United Kingdom, Spain and North America. This was done primarily in PPT, PDF and CBT format. Set up training environments from scratch using VMWare where customers could vpn into from anywhere in the world and go through pre-defined labs and tutorial exercises under supervision. Created complicated installation and configuration exercises to re-enforce the learning experience. Administered feedback from the customer and adjusted the courses accordingly. Ensured that all customer feedback was up to the standards set by Voss. FDM (London Academy) Jun 2011 – Aug 2014 Course Coordinator Application Support/Infrastructure Stream. FDM is an international IT services company launching graduate careers in industry. Nortel Networks Jan 2000 – Oct 2002 Nortel networks was a multi-national telecommunications and data networking equipment manufacturer. Senior Systems Engineer June 2000 – Oct 2002 Resolved a difficult dispute with a customer culminating in the successful deployment of a brand new software system on their site (Customer = Thus telecom). Conceived of a way to integrate a company’s pan European operations into one central location resulting in easier management of the company’s resources (Customer = BT). Demonstrated the installation and commissioning of a software management system and trained employees on how to use it in a foreign language, Italian (Customer=Tiscali). Set up a test bed allowing full integration testing of Nortel’s fiber optic network management software for the first time in Europe. Discovered many problems that had not been noted during the verification stage of the software lifecycle (Customer=BT). 2nd Level Support Specialist Jan 2000 – Jun2000 Managed the known error database and provided workarounds to ensure that over 90 % of problems with Nortel’s network management software were fixed within given SLAs. Alcatel Telecom Ltd. Sept 1998 – Dec 1999 Alcatel, now Alcatel-Lucent, provides communication solutions to telecommunication carriers, Internet Service Providers and enterprises for the delivery of voice, video and data applications to their customers or employees. Graduate Systems Integration Engineer Tested Alcatel’s ADSL network management software at BT labs in Martlesham and re-wrote software components according to customer’s changing requirements. Tested access SDH hardware at BT labs in Martlesham ensuring that it passed all BT’s NIF (Network Integration Facility) entrance and exit requirements. Translated technical documentation from Italian into English, saving time and expenses.
