QR code...
• A QR code (quick response code) is a type of 2D bar
code that is used to provide easy access to information
through a smartphone or other mobile devices (tablets).
• Here are a few examples of QR codes in current
use:
• QR codes on business cards link to the individual's full
resume or website.
• A Starbucks promotion featured a QR code-enabled
scavenger hunt involving hints accessed through
QR codes in the stores.
• Quiring Monuments in Seattle puts QR code on
gravestones to connects people to an online obituary or a
website about the deceased.
• In Florida, the J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife
Refuge puts QR codes on signs to connect people to
informational videos about wildlife along the trails.
How can we do it?
To create your QR codes
• Go to: QR codes GENERATOR: www.goqr.me
• How can teachers use QR Codes?
• Create a series of QR and attach them to physical
objects in or outside the classroom as part of a
treasure hunt. Each code can supply a clue
and a link to further information, which the
students need to collect to complete the treasure
hunt.
• Students research a topic and present their
findings in posters displayed on the classroom
walls. They create and include QR codes in their
posters, which link to online multimedia
resources connected to the project topic (low-tech
multimedia poster presentations).
• Include QR codes in published books, journals or
on paper handouts, which link to further
resources.
• Of course it’s also a good idea to include the link
in full for those without a QR reader.

  • 7. • A QR code (quick response code) is a type of 2D bar code that is used to provide easy access to information through a smartphone or other mobile devices (tablets). • Here are a few examples of QR codes in current use: • QR codes on business cards link to the individual's full resume or website. • A Starbucks promotion featured a QR code-enabled scavenger hunt involving hints accessed through QR codes in the stores. • Quiring Monuments in Seattle puts QR code on gravestones to connects people to an online obituary or a website about the deceased. • In Florida, the J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge puts QR codes on signs to connect people to informational videos about wildlife along the trails.

To create your QR codes • Go to: QR codes GENERATOR: www.goqr.me • How can teachers use QR Codes? • Create a series of QR and attach them to physical objects in or outside the classroom as part of a treasure hunt. Each code can supply a clue and a link to further information, which the students need to collect to complete the treasure hunt.
  • 12. • Students research a topic and present their findings in posters displayed on the classroom walls. They create and include QR codes in their posters, which link to online multimedia resources connected to the project topic (low-tech multimedia poster presentations). • Include QR codes in published books, journals or on paper handouts, which link to further resources. • Of course it’s also a good idea to include the link in full for those without a QR reader.
