I was called in to a meeting with Gautrain in 2017 for an exploratory chat and asked my opinion on their existing advertising. More than this, I was asked whether I’d like to table a few of my own ideas. I jumped at the opportunity and put forward the creative concepts you see here. Unfortunately, they were not used which I felt was a pity. As an outdoor advertising medium, billboards are great to work on and I was pleased with what we had come up with: a clean look with headlines that strongly sold a product benefit. The billboards were designed to work in tandem with street pole posters, maxi posters and TV advertising. As an ad campaign, I felt it would work well.
