• In charge of 40 personnel responsible for the maintenance and preservation of four Mechanized Landing Craft
(LCM), two utility boats,61 piers, and four buildings under the operational control of the Port Operations Department
of a shoreside logistical support base.

Prisoner Escort Supervisor (NCO) / Command Information Dominance Warfare Test Coordinator (8/12-6/13)
• Fulfilled a 10-month overseas tourto the Detention Facility in Parwan, Bagram, Afghanistan.
•. Led 82 military personnelin the execution of 32,000+ movements of 3000+ detainees with zero mishaps.

• In charge of 43 personnel in the Deck Department of a Nimitz Class carrier. Planned and orchestrated a wide range
of deck operations,equipment maintenance, and the upkeep of 80 departmental spaces.
• As Rig Captain, safely transferred millions of gallons of fuel and thousands ofpallets of cargo and ammunition with a
perfect safety record. Ensured the safe and effective completion of scores of Underway Replenishments (UNREP).
• Tracked and ensured the maintenance of all 128 ship’s liferafts and over 5000 abandon ship lifejackets.
• Fulfilled additional responsibilities as Departmental Drug and Alcohol Program Advisor (DAPA), Department
Maintenance and Material Management (3M) Assistant,Department Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist (ESWS) and
Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist (EAWS) Programs Coordinator, Department Training Program Administrator,

• Supervised one High-Risk Water Survival Instructorand provided a safe and effective training environment to
conduct Navy swim tests and deliver the Remedial Swim Course. Trained and certified thousands ofstudents.

Deck Division Supervisor (LPO) / 3M Program Supervisor / Life Boat Officer (3/03-4/07)
• Assigned to the Deck Department of a Ticonderoga Class Guided Missile Cruiser with 400 personnel. Supervised 30
personneland managed the maintenance and upkeep of 27 division spaces including the largest division on the Ship.
• Trained and qualified UNREP Riggers, Rig Captains, and Special Sea and AnchorDetail Supervisors (POIC).
• Coordinated the execution of sea and anchor,anchoring, and moor to a buoy maneuvers, RHIB maneuvers as Davit
Safety Officer and scores of UNREPs as Rig Captain.
• Personal expertise and leadership of Deck Division were crucial to ship’s formal certification in Seamanship and
Search and Rescue (SAR) during an extremely demanding training cycle.
• Oversaw the execution of multiple thousands of 3M material inspections during tenure. Restructured and streamlined
the Divisional 3M program to improve performance, deliverables and equipment reliability.
• Led teams of Deck Seaman in extensive painting and preservation projects.
• Ranked ship’s #1 Second Class Petty Officer and meritoriously promote to First Class for superior performance.
NAVAL SUBMARINE BASE NEW LONDON - Groton, Connecticut
Small Craft Coxswain / Oil Spill Response Program Supervisor / Small Boat Technician (4/00-3/03)
• Served in the Port Operations Department of central Naval Base providing all logistics support for all Navy, Coast
Guard, and NATO ships and submarines in Navy Region Northeast.
• Directly responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, and preservation of eight small craft, two rapid response
skimmers, one rapid response platform boat, and various items of oil pollution control equipment.
• As one of only three Harbor Pilot Coxswains. Provided small boat coxswain training to newly reporting personnel.
Conducted hundreds of pilot and personneltransfers without a single mishap.
