Collaborated with management, staff business analysts (SMEs) and technical staff members in
identifying and resolving day-to day issues. Maintained a leadership role to establish best business
practices and provided recommendations regarding architecturaland methodology approaches.
Responsible for a team of 3 internal developers and external contract resources in developing
hundreds of various reporting requirements using SAP’s ABAP ALV and Adobe forms report
development. The reports support all areas of the SAP core modules: Sales and Distribution, Materials
Management, Production Planning, Financials, Cost Controlling, COPA, Quality Management, and
Project Systems. This development has given me a distinct advantage to learn intricate details to each
of the core modules both at the data base layer as well as the code level. The number of external
contractors and external developers ranged for 1 to over a dozen depending on the scope, budget and
number of projects managed at any given time.
Led a team of developers (and participated in the coding) to apply necessary changes to our custom
SAP code as we upgraded to the latest release running in a HANA environment. Utilized software
from Panaya to analyze and identify change requirements between our installed version of SAP and
the latest version of SAP.
Fulfilled multiple complex project requirements. Provided detailed functional and technical
documentation. Assumed leadership role to drive the team(s) to successfulon-time completion of
complex project deliverables (i.e. ACH interface, MRP Areas, etc.)
SAP has a method providing the ability to manage material availability independently by warehouse
with the configuration of “MRP Areas”. My team of 2 internal developers and I successfully modified
our custom code to accommodate the change in configuration. I also modified several SD user exits to
provide default logic.
Successfully analyzed and ‘tuned’ major business processes -- Order Management to Billing/Accounts
Receivable.
Successfully implemented functionality using Innowera to provide mass maintenance capabilities to
material master data, routings and BOM’s, sales order entry, customer master maintenance, and
others.
Provided leadership to implement an SAP HANA sidecar instance providing specific sales reporting
of Backlog, Bookings and Sales Shipment history. HANA instance utilized SAP’s SLT server to
interface data from the Oracle based ECC database and update the HANA instance in near real time.
Developed reporting improvements with existing ABAP ALV reports which before moving to HANA
took over an hour to complete. After moving to HANA these same reports ran in 15 to 20 seconds.
Successfully managed the team responsible to move our company owned hardware and infrastructure
support to a Cloud based Managed Services model. This effort required an extreme amount of
coordination between our in house infrastructure organization, our development team, our business
support analyst, the basis team, and end users. I prepared a detail plan to ensure a smooth cutover and
proper testing (including end user application testing) was completed. Our environment consisted of 8
plants in the US, 1 plant in Mexico, 1 plant in the UK, 1 plant in Switzerland, and 2 plants in China.
We completed the migration reaping great rewards in performance and scaling to satisfy our
implementation of the HANA sidecar instance, as well as the Enhance Pack 7.12 implementation on
HANA.
Assumed a leadership role in establishing a best practice and scalable approach to data processing for
inbound and outbound data transactions resulting in a streamlined architecture and methodology of
systems integration requirements development.
