Gavin started work at city link as a warehouse person on 28/04/2011. Gavin began his
employment as a quiet warehouse worker, but was quickly became a very highly
valued staff member. His skills and commitment became apparent and was made
responsible for the night router, this was a job that all my 8 years at city link no one
had mastered. Gavin showed he was more than capable of doing this is a very short
time .The router is key on ensuring the day starts off well.
Gavin showed that he had great leadership skills and was quickly made night
supervisor. Gavin was also promoted to acting night manager. While acting manager he
showed he had the ability to reduce costs and still achieve all his targets.
During his period of employment Gavin demonstrated a high level of commitment to
our organization and a high skill set, hence his quick promotions. Gavin was always
polite, courteous, punctual, flexible, extremely competent and very popular amongst
his colleagues.
I can personally say it has been a joy to have the chance to work with Gavin and he
will become a great assist to a future employer. I really do hope I get the chance to
work with him again
Due to a decision by the City Link Board, the Collection and Delivery operation at
Preston has since ceased operation. However, it is without hesitation that I would
