- Heart Force Medical is a Vancouver-based medical device company. Its first product is a SEISMOCARDIOGRAPH that provides a Heart Health test. Stress is a significant part of everyday life, however, excessive stress has been linked with heart disease. The Heart Health Test will allow Naturopaths to assess patients who do not even suspect they have heart disease. The test measures specific cardiac timings which are modified in the presence of heart disease.
- The ECG waveform is one of the world’s best-recognized medical symbols, yet Naturopaths rarely have access to the results of a patient’s ECG assessment. Most practitioners require a third party to report on the ECG before making any recommendations to their patients. The SEISMOCARDIOGRAPH provides Naturopaths with a real time assessment of the patient’s Heart Health.
- The collective electro-mechanical action of the heart measures the Systolic Time Intervals. A specific ratio of two systolic time intervals, the Pre-Ejection Period and the Left Ventricular Ejection Time is widely recognised and accepted by Cardiologists as indicative of cardiac performance. Historically to measure the electro-mechanical time intervals has required three instruments which has proven to be cumbersome, costly and time consuming. The SEISMOCARDIOGRAPH will calculate the electro-mechanical systolic time intervals in 30 seconds.
- The SIEMOCARDIOGRAPH will be used by Naturopaths. The Heart Health Test provides: A non-Invasive assessment that captures: the ultra-low frequency vibrations that contain the systolic time intervals and presents the STI Ratio which is indicative of cardiac performance and Heart Health. By pressing a single button the Heart Health test measures the STI Ratio and displays the result simply, quickly and accurately.
- The SEISMOCARDIOGRAPH displays the seismic waves that emanate through the chest wall produced by the contracting heart as a single integrated waveform. This waveform provides two assessment with Time along the ’X’ axis and Acceleration or Force on the ’Y’ axis. The STI Ratio is calculated from the SEISMOCARDIOGRAPH.
- Heart Force’s SEISMOCARDIOGRAPH measures the systolic time intervals and displays the STI Ratio - a proven and clinically accepted assessment of Heart Disease.
- The SEISMOCARDIOGRAPH completes this assessment in 30 seconds and displays the STI Ratio Result which is then recorded on a reference Scale based on internationally accepted publications.
