I highly recommend Paul Davis for home restoration work. They were our primary contractor
after a tee fell on our house during the March 2018 wind storm. We ended up with 120K of
damage, and the folks at Paul Davis, lead heroically by William Winn, stepped in and took
care of everything for us. All of the work was good, but the thing that really stood out was
how they stood with us dealing with our insurance company. Not surprisingly, insurance
companies try to pay for as little as possible and without Paul Davis' efforts in this area, we
probably would not have ended up quite so well. Five stars for these hard working, honest,
dedicated professionals!
High level summary on the rationale for a poor rating wtih Paul Davis - Very poor
communication - Not following through the work promised and dates provided - Missed a big
ticket item on the scope that had to be called out - Not owning the issues (Skin in the game) -
Missed informing a very big ticket item that multiplied the damage - Finally tremendous delay
in the final delivery
Over the last 4 years, my home has had a few water issues, ranging from a leaking roof to a
broken pipe. Paul Davis has done a fantastic job each time we called them. They've restored
our home back to new condition each time, quickly and with minimal disruption.
We had a leak in our dishwasher that caused a lot of damage on two levels. We contacted
Paul Davis and they came the very next morning-even though it was a Saturday. A water
mitigation team arrived and in no time they had ascertained that our kitchen tile was 100%
wet. They quickly removed the tiles and took a sample to see if they could find a match.
Since the tile was 20 years old I felt sure that finding it would be impossible! From start to
finish, Project Manager, Thomas Arndt handled every step of our restoration. His team was
excellent-everyone knew his job so well. Orlando, the foreman, was incredibly helpful moving
the furniture and covering all surfaces. Luis, the tile layer, was awesome. Alejandro is a pure
genius solving the insoluble and Dario and Osman were amazing! Our home was totally
restored to better than before and everything was done in a very timely manner. To say that
we highly recommend them would be an understatement!
Paul Davis asked to inspect water and mold damage at my home between 10 and noon on a
Friday. Said they would charge $250 for the visit. They didn't show, or call to say they'd be
delayed. I called. Apologetically, they said they had double-booked that time. I might still try
them. They're said to do good work. I have to doubt their reliability.
They do great work! There was a small misunderstanding that they quickly rectified! Highly
recommend!
To say that Paul Davis Restoration is the worst contractor out there is the understatement of
the century. I had no choice but to give a one star due to the fact that Zero stars is not an
option. They were contracted by my insurance carrier after my deck got crushed by falling
trees. This was in April of 2018 and my deck got done in Late November. Everything that
could go wrong did: The workers were using old plans to build the deck and built the wrong
style, the proposal folks failed to speak to the supervisors, the wrong amounts of wood were
ordered, the deck was stained the wrong color and so on and so forth. To make matters
worse, the project manager yelled at my wife when she pointed out his mistakes. In my
opinion, they are the most unprofessional bunch of incompetent misfits you will ever find.
They use cheap laborers to get the work done and pay them late (the workers complained to
me that pay had not come in a month), the hire Mickey-mouse help to do jobs, such as the
guy who stained the deck the wrong color when we sent all the specs to the project manager.
And what is perhaps worst of all: They don't care one bit about customer service or doing the
job right. Pathetic to no end. NEVER use these clowns; if you do, you will regret not heeding
this warning.
My neighbors water heater failed and leaked a lot of water into my first floor hallway in my
condo early one Sunday morning. After the Fire Department came and shut everything down
- I called my insurance company, and they connected me with Paul Davis Restoration. They
came right out on a Sunday morning and began clean up of the damaged area - removing all
of the water, starting the drying out process, and removing damaged drywall, water logged
insulation and such. I was very pleased with how quickly they responded and addressed the
task at hand.
PDR NOVA did a fantastic job on our condo renovation. Very high quality workmanship and
attention to detail, flexible and easy to work with. We were very pleased with the results!
We recently bought a home. First weekend of home ownership, our second level had a hole
in the ceiling from a water leak out of the bathtub. The entire situation was stressful from
insurance, previous owners, and mainly how to handle it. Paul Davis was referred to us by
our insurance company. We couldn't have asked for a better company. They handled
everything. Drywall, paint, leak, and tile replacement. It was wonderful. Staff at office were
every accommodating as well as the project manager. I would use them again for
remodeling, insurance claims, or home projects at the house. They simply are the best. I
don't have pictures of the work completed but you wouldn't know remodeling occurred.
Bathroom looks greats and ceiling looks great. The little things like painting entire ceiling so
you can't tell drywall was replaced, painting bathroom after tile was removed, replacing
adjoining glass shower door because the old door wasn't fitting properly, and ensuring
everything was in good working order prior to closing the contract. It also included a 3 year
warranty for work performed. It is hard to impress me. Paul Davis exceeded in every way!
Absolutely unprofessional business. My apartment building had a pipe burst and it affected
my neighbor. Paul Davis has barged into my apartment without any reason or warning "on
accident" 4 times now. This is absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional behavior. What
they're doing is 100% illegal and to have it happen 4 times is no mistake. If this company
cannot even communicate to their employees which apartments need to be worked on, how
can you even be sure they can properly communicate they're doing the right work needed?
Abysmal behavior from a horribly run company. Too bad Yelp doesn't allow ZERO star
ratings.
Prompt friendly service from the scheduling of the appointment to the inspectors showing up.
Julia, Howard and Justin were highly competent great folks to work with. I will certainly do all
my future restoration business through them!
One star is generous. The crew and project manager that delt with the mitigation portion of
the roof leak we had were intrusive and unorganized.
Our water damage in our basement was not covered by USAA Homeowners Policy, but they
did offer a list of companies that they use in our area. We contacted Paul Davis - Ashburn
after checking online reviews. Sam Thompson came to the house and advised us of several
options, keeping in mind that insurance was not covering this event. He is definitely an expert
on all restoration and remediation. He helped us to understand the situation and all options.
He was very patient and knowledgeable and provided honest guidance. I highly recommend
this company for honest, excellent customer service!!!!
Not only is their staff top notch but the quality of work is fantastic! If I'm ever to need this kind
of service again I would definitely use Paul Davis Restoration.
We had a sewer line backup that caused major damages. Paul Davis was at the house within
about three hours and went right to work! Checked daily on the drying process and always
had POSITIVE things to say in this trying time. I highly recommend Paul Davis if you ever
have a water mitigation issue!
We recently experienced a major water leak from an upstairs bathroom. I didn't discover it
until I got home that night and it was "raining" in my garage through the ceiling. Top floor was
flooded and soaked. A crew from Paul Davis Restoration was on site within hours and and
went to work immediately, surveying and repairing the damage. There has been excellent
communication, work ethic, and professionalism throughout the process. They made our
family feel much better about our situation in a very short time. Highly recommend !!
Paul Davis Restoration (PDR) was recommended and contracted by our insurance company
(USAA), which gave them instant credibility for us. We had mold due to penetrating water via
our upper windows and skylights. PDR/Sam Thompson and PDR/Stephen Wilson were
assigned to our project. They met with us in person to walk through the entire process, which
was broken down into two parts: (1) remediation and (2) rebuild. Sam was our remediation
expert and Stephen the rebuild expert. It was great to have them both as part of the process
from the beginning and be able to explain all the steps and set our expectations. We have
now completed the remediation process with Sam and are completely satisfied with a
Clearance Verification Certificate for our home. Sam led the remediation team effectively and
efficiently. We had to live in a hotel through this process, which was initially expected to be 3
weeks. However, Sam and his team found additional concerns during the remediation
process and wanted to ensure our house was mold free and met the industrial hygienist's
criteria. So, they called back the industrial hygienist and found further cleaning was needed
in a newly discovered area. Sam worked directly with the contractors and insurance company
to have this included in a supplement effort. We ended up in a hotel for almost 7 weeks, but
the customer service, consistent and clear communication, and goal oriented efforts of Sam
and his team made the end result well worth the time away from home. There were so many
personal touches provided by Sam during this process that I can't begin to list them all. He
was the ultimate professional with an extensive amount of knowledge. We are now moving
forward with the (2) rebuild, which is PDR/Stephen Wilson's area of responsibility. So far,
Stephen has been amazing at answering our questions, working with us on the change
orders required beyond the insurance coverage, and providing his expertise. Stephen has
also been gracious enough to talk with and coordinate around our general contractor that is
taking care of the work needed that is not covered by our insurance company. We will keep
you posted on how the rebuild concludes. But, honestly, I imagine it will turn out just as
successful as the remediation process. I would HIGHLY recommend Paul Davis Restoration,
especially if all folks are of the same caliber as Sam and Stephen.
Horrible experience with poor customer service. We are military and when we had a leak the
USAA adjustor showed up with a PDR rep. We didn't feel like we were given much choice. I
now know I can be more insistent and I would never use PDR again nor recommend them.
They started work on our house in October and didn't finish until January. They were
careless and when they damaged/broke things they would tell me that they were not
responsible. They didn't always tell the truth...my parents own the house but I have full power
of attorney. They would present blank papers where totals should have been filled in and
when I would refuse to sign, they would tell me that my parents said it was OK. I would call
my folks only to find out they were unaware of what was happening. They had subcontractors
who were rude. We needed new flooring. I called their person and the showroom hours were
quite restrictive. As a school teacher, I have very tight work hours. I asked if they could work
with me and their person said, "Do you want new flooring? Then you will find a way to come
here and look." They had to pack out a large portion of our upstairs. They don't write an
inventory. They take pictures with a tablet but not of everything. Then if you say something is
missing or broken they either tell you that they don't have it on their inventory or that you
must have broken it. They broke my son's wooden (oak) bed on 3 separate occasions. water
damage round rock tx tried to fix it themselves instead of having professionals take care of it.
Pieces they had glued started falling off as they delivered it back to our house. I had to take
my own pictures to prove it. Also, they didn't email the inventory until we specifically asked
for it. So...no telling if pictures had been deleted. There are many other small things but I
think this enough to make my point. PDR was difficult to work with because they were
untruthful, unreliable, careless and dishonest. They do not care for their customers and it
seems they know USAA will pay them so they care even less.
Prior review in 2014 was posted to the incorrect Paul Davis office/ reposting to the VA one
where services done: After I had water pipe burst back in January this year I worked through
my insurance company with Paul Davis for the mitigation and repair work. The mitigation
work was efficient- they came in within week after damage and they all seemed very
professional- neatly dressed workers on site, organized paperwork and clear process. Next
up was the estimation of repairs- Hands down, their estimator Stephen was excellent at his
job. He got in with insurance adjuster and called out every detail between their estimates to
ensure alignment. Loved his attention to detail and he was very patient with insurance
process and my additional work requests. The only reason for 3 stars is due to the last part -
the actual repair work - for which I can only attribute to the limited PM oversight combined
with a number of errors by the subcontractors which made the experience sour for me. They
did come back after I expressed my frustration to the manager. All in all it was a good
experience with their team outside of that.

communication, work ethic, and professionalism throughout the process. They made our
family feel much better about our situation in a very short time. Highly recommend !!

Paul Davis Restoration (PDR) was recommended and contracted by our insurance company
(USAA), which gave them instant credibility for us. We had mold due to penetrating water via
our upper windows and skylights.
PDR/Sam Thompson and PDR/Stephen Wilson were assigned to our project. They met with
us in person to walk through the entire process, which was broken down into two parts: (1)
remediation and (2) rebuild. Sam was our remediation expert and Stephen the rebuild expert.
It was great to have them both as part of the process from the beginning and be able to
explain all the steps and set our expectations. We have now completed the remediation
process with Sam and are completely satisfied with a Clearance Verification Certificate for
our home. Sam led the remediation team effectively and efficiently. We had to live in a hotel
through this process, which was initially expected to be 3 weeks. However, Sam and his
team found additional concerns during the remediation process and wanted to ensure our
house was mold free and met the industrial hygienist's criteria. So, they called back the
industrial hygienist and found further cleaning was needed in a newly discovered area. Sam
worked directly with the contractors and insurance company to have this included in a
supplement effort.
We ended up in a hotel for almost 7 weeks, but the customer service, consistent and clear
communication, and goal oriented efforts of Sam and his team made the end result well
worth the time away from home. There were so many personal touches provided by Sam
during this process that I can't begin to list them all. He was the ultimate professional with an
extensive amount of knowledge. We are now moving forward with the (2) rebuild, which is
PDR/Stephen Wilson's area of responsibility.
So far, Stephen has been amazing at answering our questions, working with us on the
change orders required beyond the insurance coverage, and providing his expertise.
Stephen has also been gracious enough to talk with and coordinate around our general
contractor that is taking care of the work needed that is not covered by our insurance
company. We will keep you posted on how the rebuild concludes. But, honestly, I imagine it
will turn out just as successful as the remediation process. I would HIGHLY recommend Paul
Davis Restoration, especially if all folks are of the same caliber as Sam and Stephen.

Horrible experience with poor customer service.
We are military and when we had a leak the USAA adjustor showed up with a PDR rep. We
didn't feel like we were given much choice. I now know I can be more insistent and I would
never use PDR again nor recommend them. They started work on our house in October and
didn't finish until January. They were careless and when they damaged/broke things they
would tell me that they were not responsible.
They didn't always tell the truth...my parents own the house but I have full power of attorney.
They would present blank papers where totals should have been filled in and when I would
refuse to sign, they would tell me that my parents said it was OK. I would call my folks only to
find out they were unaware of what was happening.
They had subcontractors who were rude. We needed new flooring. I called their person and
the showroom hours were quite restrictive. As a school teacher, I have very tight work hours.
I asked if they could work with me and their person said, "Do you want new flooring? Then
you will find a way to come here and look."
They had to pack out a large portion of our upstairs. They don't write an inventory. They take
pictures with a tablet but not of everything. Then if you say something is missing or broken
they either tell you that they don't have it on their inventory or that you must have broken it.
They broke my son's wooden (oak) bed on 3 separate occasions. They tried to fix it
themselves instead of having professionals take care of it. Pieces they had glued started
falling off as they delivered it back to our house. I had to take my own pictures to prove it.
Also, they didn't email the inventory until we specifically asked for it. So...no telling if pictures
had been deleted.
There are many other small things but I think this enough to make my point.
PDR was difficult to work with because they were untruthful, unreliable, careless and
dishonest. They do not care for their customers and it seems they know USAA will pay them
so they care even less.

Prior review in 2014 was posted to the incorrect Paul Davis office/ reposting to the VA one
where services done:
After I had water pipe burst back in January this year I worked through my insurance
company with Paul Davis for the mitigation and repair work. The mitigation work was
efficient- they came in within week after damage and they all seemed very professional-
neatly dressed workers on site, organized paperwork and clear process.
Next up was the estimation of repairs- Hands down, their estimator Stephen was excellent at
his job. He got in with insurance adjuster and called out every detail between their estimates
to ensure alignment. Loved his attention to detail and he was very patient with insurance
process and my additional work requests.
The only reason for 3 stars is due to the last part - the actual repair work - for which I can
only attribute to the limited PM oversight combined with a number of errors by the
subcontractors which made the experience sour for me. They did come back after I
expressed my frustration to the manager.
All in all it was a good experience with their team outside of that.

They were our primary contractor after a tee fell on our house during the March 2018 wind storm. We ended up with 120K of damage, and the folks at Paul Davis, lead heroically by William Winn, stepped in and took care of everything for us. All of the work was good, but the thing that really stood out was how they stood with us dealing with our insurance company. Not surprisingly, insurance companies try to pay for as little as possible and without Paul Davis' efforts in this area, we probably would not have ended up quite so well. Five stars for these hard working, honest, dedicated professionals! High level summary on the rationale for a poor rating wtih Paul Davis - Very poor communication - Not following through the work promised and dates provided - Missed a big ticket item on the scope that had to be called out - Not owning the issues (Skin in the game) - Missed informing a very big ticket item that multiplied the damage - Finally tremendous delay in the final delivery Over the last 4 years, my home has had a few water issues, ranging from a leaking roof to a broken pipe. Paul Davis has done a fantastic job each time we called them. They've restored our home back to new condition each time, quickly and with minimal disruption. We had a leak in our dishwasher that caused a lot of damage on two levels. We contacted Paul Davis and they came the very next morning-even though it was a Saturday. A water mitigation team arrived and in no time they had ascertained that our kitchen tile was 100% wet. They quickly removed the tiles and took a sample to see if they could find a match. Since the tile was 20 years old I felt sure that finding it would be impossible! From start to finish, Project Manager, Thomas Arndt handled every step of our restoration. His team was excellent-everyone knew his job so well. Orlando, the foreman, was incredibly helpful moving the furniture and covering all surfaces. Luis, the tile layer, was awesome. Alejandro is a pure genius solving the insoluble and Dario and Osman were amazing! Our home was totally restored to better than before and everything was done in a very timely manner. To say that
  • 3. we highly recommend them would be an understatement! Paul Davis asked to inspect water and mold damage at my home between 10 and noon on a Friday. Said they would charge $250 for the visit. They didn't show, or call to say they'd be delayed. I called. Apologetically, they said they had double-booked that time. I might still try them. They're said to do good work. I have to doubt their reliability. They do great work! There was a small misunderstanding that they quickly rectified! Highly recommend! To say that Paul Davis Restoration is the worst contractor out there is the understatement of the century. I had no choice but to give a one star due to the fact that Zero stars is not an option. They were contracted by my insurance carrier after my deck got crushed by falling trees. This was in April of 2018 and my deck got done in Late November. Everything that could go wrong did: The workers were using old plans to build the deck and built the wrong style, the proposal folks failed to speak to the supervisors, the wrong amounts of wood were ordered, the deck was stained the wrong color and so on and so forth. To make matters worse, the project manager yelled at my wife when she pointed out his mistakes. In my opinion, they are the most unprofessional bunch of incompetent misfits you will ever find. They use cheap laborers to get the work done and pay them late (the workers complained to me that pay had not come in a month), the hire Mickey-mouse help to do jobs, such as the guy who stained the deck the wrong color when we sent all the specs to the project manager. And what is perhaps worst of all: They don't care one bit about customer service or doing the job right. Pathetic to no end. NEVER use these clowns; if you do, you will regret not heeding this warning. My neighbors water heater failed and leaked a lot of water into my first floor hallway in my condo early one Sunday morning. After the Fire Department came and shut everything down - I called my insurance company, and they connected me with Paul Davis Restoration. They came right out on a Sunday morning and began clean up of the damaged area - removing all of the water, starting the drying out process, and removing damaged drywall, water logged insulation and such. I was very pleased with how quickly they responded and addressed the task at hand. PDR NOVA did a fantastic job on our condo renovation. Very high quality workmanship and attention to detail, flexible and easy to work with. We were very pleased with the results! We recently bought a home. First weekend of home ownership, our second level had a hole in the ceiling from a water leak out of the bathtub. The entire situation was stressful from insurance, previous owners, and mainly how to handle it. Paul Davis was referred to us by our insurance company. We couldn't have asked for a better company. They handled everything. Drywall, paint, leak, and tile replacement. It was wonderful. Staff at office were every accommodating as well as the project manager. I would use them again for remodeling, insurance claims, or home projects at the house. They simply are the best. I don't have pictures of the work completed but you wouldn't know remodeling occurred. Bathroom looks greats and ceiling looks great. The little things like painting entire ceiling so you can't tell drywall was replaced, painting bathroom after tile was removed, replacing adjoining glass shower door because the old door wasn't fitting properly, and ensuring everything was in good working order prior to closing the contract. It also included a 3 year warranty for work performed. It is hard to impress me. Paul Davis exceeded in every way!
  • 4. Absolutely unprofessional business. My apartment building had a pipe burst and it affected my neighbor. Paul Davis has barged into my apartment without any reason or warning "on accident" 4 times now. This is absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional behavior. What they're doing is 100% illegal and to have it happen 4 times is no mistake. If this company cannot even communicate to their employees which apartments need to be worked on, how can you even be sure they can properly communicate they're doing the right work needed? Abysmal behavior from a horribly run company. Too bad Yelp doesn't allow ZERO star ratings. Prompt friendly service from the scheduling of the appointment to the inspectors showing up. Julia, Howard and Justin were highly competent great folks to work with. I will certainly do all my future restoration business through them! One star is generous. The crew and project manager that delt with the mitigation portion of the roof leak we had were intrusive and unorganized. Our water damage in our basement was not covered by USAA Homeowners Policy, but they did offer a list of companies that they use in our area. We contacted Paul Davis - Ashburn after checking online reviews. Sam Thompson came to the house and advised us of several options, keeping in mind that insurance was not covering this event. He is definitely an expert on all restoration and remediation. He helped us to understand the situation and all options. He was very patient and knowledgeable and provided honest guidance. I highly recommend this company for honest, excellent customer service!!!! Not only is their staff top notch but the quality of work is fantastic! If I'm ever to need this kind of service again I would definitely use Paul Davis Restoration. We had a sewer line backup that caused major damages. Paul Davis was at the house within about three hours and went right to work! Checked daily on the drying process and always had POSITIVE things to say in this trying time. I highly recommend Paul Davis if you ever have a water mitigation issue! We recently experienced a major water leak from an upstairs bathroom. I didn't discover it until I got home that night and it was "raining" in my garage through the ceiling. Top floor was flooded and soaked. A crew from Paul Davis Restoration was on site within hours and and went to work immediately, surveying and repairing the damage. Was this review …? Others will see how you vote! Heads up: From now on, other Yelpers will be able to see how you voted. I'll be sure this goes out to our team. 10/8/2018 High level summary on the rationale for a poor rating wtih Paul Davis - Very poor communication - Not following through the work promised and dates provided - Missed a big ticket item on the scope that had to be called out - Not owning the issues (Skin in the game) - Missed informing a very big ticket item that multiplied the damage - Finally tremendous delay in the final delivery 1 person voted for this review Others will see how you vote! Yes, Let Me Vote! 2/7/2019 We had a leak in our dishwasher that caused a lot of damage on two levels. To say that we highly recommend them would be an understatement! Others will see how you vote! Heads up: From now on, other Yelpers will be able to see how you voted. Want to chime in? They didn't show, or call to say they'd be delayed. I called. Apologetically, they said they had double-booked that time. I might still try them. They're said to do good work. I have to doubt their reliability. Was this review …? Others will see how you vote! Heads up: From now on, other Yelpers will be able to see how you voted. Want to chime in? Yes, Let Me Vote! Others will see how you vote! Heads up: From now on, other Yelpers will be able to see how you voted. Want to chime in? After the Fire Department came and shut everything down - I called my insurance company, and they connected me with Paul Davis Restoration. They came right out on a Sunday morning and began clean up of the damaged area - removing all of the water, starting the drying out process, and removing damaged drywall, water logged insulation and such. I was very pleased with how quickly they responded and addressed the task at hand. 5 people voted for this review

Was this review …? Others will see how you vote! Others will see how you vote!

I didn't discover it until I got home that night and it was "raining" in my garage through the ceiling. Top floor was flooded and soaked. A crew from Paul Davis Restoration was on site within hours and and went to work immediately, surveying and repairing the damage. Yes, Let Me Vote! 1/13/2017 Paul Davis Restoration (PDR) was recommended and contracted by our insurance company (USAA), which gave them instant credibility for us. We had mold due to penetrating water via our upper windows and skylights. PDR/Sam Thompson and PDR/Stephen Wilson were assigned to our project. They met with us in person to walk through the entire process, which was broken down into two parts: (1) remediation and (2) rebuild. Sam was our remediation expert and Stephen the rebuild expert. It was great to have them both as part of the process from the beginning and be able to explain all the steps and set our expectations. We have now completed the remediation process with Sam and are completely satisfied with a Clearance Verification Certificate for our home. Sam led the remediation team effectively and efficiently. We had to live in a hotel through this process, which was initially expected to be 3 weeks. However, Sam and his team found additional concerns during the remediation process and wanted to ensure our house was mold free and met the industrial hygienist's criteria. So, they called back the industrial hygienist and found further cleaning was needed in a newly discovered area. Sam worked directly with the contractors and insurance company to have this included in a supplement effort. We ended up in a hotel for almost 7 weeks, but the customer service, consistent and clear communication, and goal oriented efforts of Sam and his team made the end result well worth the time away from home. There were so many personal touches provided by Sam during this process that I can't begin to list them all. He was the ultimate professional with an extensive amount of knowledge. We are now moving forward with the (2) rebuild, which is PDR/Stephen Wilson's area of responsibility. So far, Stephen has been amazing at answering our questions, working with us on the change orders required beyond the insurance coverage, and providing his expertise.
  • 13. Stephen has also been gracious enough to talk with and coordinate around our general contractor that is taking care of the work needed that is not covered by our insurance company. We will keep you posted on how the rebuild concludes. But, honestly, I imagine it will turn out just as successful as the remediation process. I would HIGHLY recommend Paul Davis Restoration, especially if all folks are of the same caliber as Sam and Stephen. Was this review …? Others will see how you vote! Read more Horrible experience with poor customer service. We are military and when we had a leak the USAA adjustor showed up with a PDR rep. We didn't feel like we were given much choice. I now know I can be more insistent and I would never use PDR again nor recommend them. They started work on our house in October and didn't finish until January. They were careless and when they damaged/broke things they would tell me that they were not responsible. They didn't always tell the truth...my parents own the house but I have full power of attorney. They would present blank papers where totals should have been filled in and when I would refuse to sign, they would tell me that my parents said it was OK. I would call my folks only to find out they were unaware of what was happening. They had subcontractors who were rude. We needed new flooring. I called their person and the showroom hours were quite restrictive. As a school teacher, I have very tight work hours. I asked if they could work with me and their person said, "Do you want new flooring? Then you will find a way to come here and look." They had to pack out a large portion of our upstairs. They don't write an inventory. They take pictures with a tablet but not of everything. Then if you say something is missing or broken they either tell you that they don't have it on their inventory or that you must have broken it. They broke my son's wooden (oak) bed on 3 separate occasions. They tried to fix it themselves instead of having professionals take care of it. Pieces they had glued started falling off as they delivered it back to our house. I had to take my own pictures to prove it. Also, they didn't email the inventory until we specifically asked for it. So...no telling if pictures had been deleted. There are many other small things but I think this enough to make my point. PDR was difficult to work with because they were untruthful, unreliable, careless and dishonest. They do not care for their customers and it seems they know USAA will pay them so they care even less. 1 person voted for this review Others will see how you vote! Read more First to Review Prior review in 2014 was posted to the incorrect Paul Davis office/ reposting to the VA one where services done: After I had water pipe burst back in January this year I worked through my insurance company with Paul Davis for the mitigation and repair work. The mitigation work was efficient- they came in within week after damage and they all seemed very professional- neatly dressed workers on site, organized paperwork and clear process. Next up was the estimation of repairs- Hands down, their estimator Stephen was excellent at his job. He got in with insurance adjuster and called out every detail between their estimates to ensure alignment. Loved his attention to detail and he was very patient with insurance process and my additional work requests. The only reason for 3 stars is due to the last part - the actual repair work - for which I can only attribute to the limited PM oversight combined with a number of errors by the subcontractors which made the experience sour for me. They did come back after I expressed my frustration to the manager. All in all it was a good experience with their team outside of that. 4 people voted for this review Others will see how you vote!
