THE JILL AND NICHOLASWOODMAN FOUNDATION
An Advised Donor of the Silicon Valley Community Foundation
Dear Festival Friends,
Welcome to the Fourteenth Annual Bonny Doon Art, Wine and Brew Festival
brought to you by the Bonny Doon Community School Foundation.
We are so pleased you could attend this important benefit fundraiser for Bonny
Doon Elementary School’s Science and Arts programs. Today is the culmination
of months of work by our core organizing committee under the guidance of our
amazing chairs of this event, Rachel Beauregard and Gail McNulty. It is because
of their dedication and all of the volunteers that this Festival is possible.
We are grateful to our sponsors, our local business and arts communities and
other donors who have enabled us to offer such wonderful items in our online
auction, and silent and live auctions today. We are especially grateful to Jim
Beauregard for donating the use of the beautiful Bonny Doon Equestrian Park.
The Bonny Doon Community School Foundation was established October 5th,
1995 by a group of individuals with our community’s future in mind. These found-
ers established our mission to support public education by creating opportunities
for learning and promoting educational excellence for the children of Bonny Doon.
Because of their foresight and dedication these programs continue to thrive.
Thanks to the support of generous BDCSF contributors like you, our Spring
Concert led by Music Teacher Megan McElroy, accompanied by our multi-talented
Science & Life Lab Teacher Kate Sommer on keyboard and Ron Torbensen on
guitar, was impressive and inspiring. Earlier this spring, our kids learned African
dance with SPECTRA Artist, Ibrahima (IBOU) N’gom. Our science program, also
supported by BDCSF funds, continues to inspire and motivate our children.
We’ve recently given our endowment an official name, The Bonny Doon School
Future Fund. This endowment will protect the educational excellence of future
generations of Bonny Doon children. Please stop by our booth today to find out
more about the Foundation.
Enjoy a fantastic day of socializing, shopping, dining and dancing. Your attendance
today supports educational excellence for the children in our community!
Thank you,
Clea Hermanson—President, Bonny Doon Community School Foundation

The Bonny Doon School Future Fund is an
endowment managed by the BDCSF and aimed at
augmenting the school’s budget far into the future.
Once the fund reaches $2,000,000, the yearly interest
from it will put Bonny Doon Elementary School on a firm
and permanent financial footing.
Yesterday,Today&Tomorrow
Generous donors to the Bonny Doon Community School Foundation have been
supporting our school since 1996. Here are a few of the things we have accom-
plished with those gifts from our community:
● Our very first fundraising campaign helped fund the “10th teacher” at the
school, thereby keeping class sizes down and ensuring an optimal
amount of teacher attention for every pupil
● Sustaining and strengthening the art, music, and science curricula at the
school, especially during the jarring downturns in the general economy
● A variety of professional development opportunities for our teaching
staff, providing an even stronger foundation for their skills
● The creation of the Bonny Doon School Future Fund in 1998, an endow-
ment that has helped bridge the gaps in the school’s regular budget
To support the continued work of the BDCSF, please consider a direct gift to the
Foundation or to the continuing growth of the Future Fund. Or consider any of
these ways of giving:
● Include the BDCSFor the Future Fund in your estate planning
● Make direct gifts of securities or real estate
● Name us as a beneficiary of your life insurance or retirement plan
● Create a Charitable Gift Annuity or Charitable Remainder Trust naming
us as a beneficiary
● Make a tax deductible cash donation today
All of these options carry significant tax benefits to go along with the certainty that
you have done something beneficial and lasting for your school and community.

  • 3. Dear Festival Friends, Welcome to the Fourteenth Annual Bonny Doon Art, Wine and Brew Festival brought to you by the Bonny Doon Community School Foundation. We are so pleased you could attend this important benefit fundraiser for Bonny Doon Elementary School’s Science and Arts programs. Today is the culmination of months of work by our core organizing committee under the guidance of our amazing chairs of this event, Rachel Beauregard and Gail McNulty. It is because of their dedication and all of the volunteers that this Festival is possible. We are grateful to our sponsors, our local business and arts communities and other donors who have enabled us to offer such wonderful items in our online auction, and silent and live auctions today. We are especially grateful to Jim Beauregard for donating the use of the beautiful Bonny Doon Equestrian Park. The Bonny Doon Community School Foundation was established October 5th, 1995 by a group of individuals with our community’s future in mind. These found- ers established our mission to support public education by creating opportunities for learning and promoting educational excellence for the children of Bonny Doon. Because of their foresight and dedication these programs continue to thrive. Thanks to the support of generous BDCSF contributors like you, our Spring Concert led by Music Teacher Megan McElroy, accompanied by our multi-talented Science & Life Lab Teacher Kate Sommer on keyboard and Ron Torbensen on guitar, was impressive and inspiring. Earlier this spring, our kids learned African dance with SPECTRA Artist, Ibrahima (IBOU) N’gom. Our science program, also supported by BDCSF funds, continues to inspire and motivate our children. We’ve recently given our endowment an official name, The Bonny Doon School Future Fund. This endowment will protect the educational excellence of future generations of Bonny Doon children. Please stop by our booth today to find out more about the Foundation. Enjoy a fantastic day of socializing, shopping, dining and dancing. Your attendance today supports educational excellence for the children in our community! Thank you, Clea Hermanson—President, Bonny Doon Community School Foundation & 2016 Bonny Doon Art, Wine & Brew Festival Co-Chair Bonny Doon Community School Foundation

  • 14. The Bonny Doon School Future Fund is an endowment managed by the BDCSF and aimed at augmenting the school’s budget far into the future. Once the fund reaches $2,000,000, the yearly interest from it will put Bonny Doon Elementary School on a firm and permanent financial footing. Yesterday,Today&Tomorrow Generous donors to the Bonny Doon Community School Foundation have been supporting our school since 1996. Here are a few of the things we have accom- plished with those gifts from our community: ● Our very first fundraising campaign helped fund the “10th teacher” at the school, thereby keeping class sizes down and ensuring an optimal amount of teacher attention for every pupil ● Sustaining and strengthening the art, music, and science curricula at the school, especially during the jarring downturns in the general economy ● A variety of professional development opportunities for our teaching staff, providing an even stronger foundation for their skills ● The creation of the Bonny Doon School Future Fund in 1998, an endow- ment that has helped bridge the gaps in the school’s regular budget To support the continued work of the BDCSF, please consider a direct gift to the Foundation or to the continuing growth of the Future Fund. Or consider any of these ways of giving: ● Include the BDCSFor the Future Fund in your estate planning ● Make direct gifts of securities or real estate ● Name us as a beneficiary of your life insurance or retirement plan ● Create a Charitable Gift Annuity or Charitable Remainder Trust naming us as a beneficiary ● Make a tax deductible cash donation today All of these options carry significant tax benefits to go along with the certainty that you have done something beneficial and lasting for your school and community.
