teenage-pregnancy.html

This article was taken from the
mail online which states with the
header “UK tops league of teenage
                    pregnancy” and claiming that this
                    is because of ‘ignorance’ “despite
being one of the world's biggest
                    users of contraceptives”.

This implies that the UK thinks they
know how to reduce the teenage
                     pregnancy rate but instead they
have a lack of knowledge of sex
                     education overall e.g. that the
                     contraceptive pill should be taken
                     everyday regularly.
http://www.independent.co.uk/extras/big-question/the-big-
question-why-are-teenage-pregnancy-rates-so-high-and-what-can-
be-done-about-it-1623828.html
This article was taken from the
            independent which claims that the
reason for a high level of teenage
            pregnancy is because “today's youngsters
            have been subjected to ‘sexploitation’”
            caused by “advertisers aiming sexy
            clothing ads”.
             This contradicts the previous news
paper article suggesting that the youth
of today do have the knowledge of sex
education and that it is commercialism
that is the cause of high teenage
             pregnancy rates.
Is it possible that both of these are the cause? We
want to try and find the cause within our
             documentary but also the solution.
