GFEC Newsletter September 2016
1. Grove Free Evangelical Church NEWSLETTER
âBuilding a community of people who live out Godâs purposesâ
September 2016
On Sunday 4th September we are having a âHarambeeâ in support of and the plight of
those âBorn Hungryâ around the world. The Sunday offering will be dedicated to Tearfund and following
the service there will be a shared lunch with the MEET team supplying a tasty variety of soups and breads.
You will need to bring your own soup bowl, spoon and a piece of fruit for your dessert though.
HOWEVER⊠this does come with a challenge!
Unless for health reasons you are unable to do so, would you consider making this your only meal of the
day and then to possibly donate what you would have saved on food, for the remainder of the day, to the
work of Tearfund?
NB âHarambeeâ is an African term for working together to support something financially.
