1. Matthew Monaghan’s sculptures are literally drawings folded into 3D shapes.

2. Students studying sculpture or doing a 3D project could easily take their drawings through a process from 2D to 3D.

3. Thomas Houseago’sJoanne (2005) is more sculptural, but still retains many painterly aspects.

4. Like a painting, it is a surface that has marks applied to it. The surface has just been put together to create 3 Dimensions.
