The 82nd Airborne Division War Memorial and Museum will feature extended hours during All
American Week, opening at 10 a.m. and closing at 5 p.m. May 18-22. The Operation Power
Pack Symposium will feature discussions with veterans of the Division’s 1965 operation to
restore peace and stability to the Dominican Republic. Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Joseph Kinzer will be the
guest speaker. The museum is located at 5108 Ardennes St. on Fort Bragg.
The May 21 static displays include: multiple military vehicles, helicopters, a sniper team,
infantry and cavalry squads, engineering and communications equipment, and Howitzers.
On May 21 from 8 a.m. until complete, parking for the Airborne Review will be at Pike Field for
those who are in the Fort Bragg and surrounding areas. Parking at Blues Road will be for those
coming from the Southern Pines area. Free shuttle bus rides will be provided for transportation to
and from Sicily Drop Zone. All attendees must use these two parking areas as there will be no
public parking allowed at Sicily Drop Zone or along the roads leading to the drop zone.
