There is room for small amounts of added sugars in a healthy diet, although we eat more than is recommended. Recommended intakes: <10% of total calories Usual intakes: 13% of total calories Food sources: Look for the amount of added sugars below "Total Sugars" on Nutrition Facts labels. Vitamin D is difficult to come by in food, which is why most of us don’t get enough of it.
