4. Equipment
• Camera + tripod – loan Alex's and film with him.
• Mask for killer - have at home (not like that)
• Toy knife – will buy from toy shop
• Costume – casual clothes for protagonist and a darker black outfit for the
antagonist – all should be available at home.
• Phones to be used as secondary cameras or lighting from the torch (if needs be) –
all free is cast members have phones.
• Laptop to review footage – I have and will take with me in a bag that also included
props and other equiptment
5. Facilities
• Everything will be done in class and at home, no other facilities will be needed to
edit my short film. Class is where I’ll do most of my editing etc. and parts will be
done at home when needed.
6. Personnel
Crew: There is a small group of us consisting of myself, Alex Elsworth and
Jamie Brown. We will each take in in turn to operate the camera and act
when needed. Availability will not be an issue during college hours as the only
exception would be illness. Out of college hours and during the holidays
would prove more difficult as Alex is away, and people have work. The
strengths we have as a group is that we work well in a team but individually
Jamie is a great actor and Alex is a good camera operator. External performers
won't be necessary as I only need the people listed above. Costs won't be a
matter as the places we are going to film are free but, in the event, we must
pay money to go somewhere or do something I will cover the costs for the
group.
7. Props/Costume/etc.
• Props and costume will remain loose due to the amount of moving and running I
want to involve in my project. Clothing choice should be standard for the
protagonist as I want to create a feeling of normality. Items of clothing such as
hoodies and cargos should be standard with a comfy pair of trainers to suggest
that this character is as simple and face value as possible. The antagonist on the
other hand should wear standard clothing but significantly darker colors so a
distinct difference can be seen between the sets of characters. Items of clothing
such as dark coats or hoodies would be perfect for the top half. As for the bottom
half some black trainers and some black jeans or joggers would suit perfectly The
clash in colors shows the distinct difference of intentions between the characters.

12. Experiments
My experiments didn’t consist of many
video style pieces. A lot of the
experiments I completed where to do
with gaining an idea of what I wanted to
produce in the first place with mainly
aesthetics rather than technical aspects.
I created the poster shown bellow when
we first went to the location to see if it
was good enough. I used the filters on
Photoshop to develop a chalk effect on
me and the surrounding area. While
simplistic, I feel it displays a lot of what
the film might consist of with the main
features being a boarded-up house and
an innocent looking character gazing
upon it. As for the behind the bar shot
above, this was also filmed when we
went and scouted out the first time. The
area we found was very nice but wasn’t
suitable for our needs due to reasons
such as lighting and overall quality of
shots.

has both indoor and outdoor spaces if I needed to film in either. Toilets and
food are also available for other crew members.
Home – Once again all facilities are available and free to use for all cast
members where necessary.
Bilton House – This area for filming is outside and has minimal inside area. Its
easily accessible by all cast/crew members via bus and or train.

17. Production Schedule
My in-college time will be utilized by doing most of my editing and filming
audio snippets for my story. A small portion of video will be filmed in college
and that will be done and edited in the first week. After our first 3 days in
college, I will utilize the outside off college time too film a large majority of
my footage and edit it the following week in college. With the bank holiday
the week after that is gives me a lot of time to film and edit the final parts of
my video. If I'm not finished by then, I will use the final week of production
but if all goes to plan then I will tweak the final parts and brush up the other
parts of my project.

19. Clearance and Permissions
For Filming outside of college, I won't need any permission from
anyone due to all the areas I selected being free to access. If I
chose to film in college, I will need permission to leave lessons
and ( if needed ) go into the studio which if not available may
have to be booked.
20. Health and Safety
With Filming my short film there is a little that can go wrong. The biggest risk will most
likely be to cast members or equipment. With my film containing a lot of movement
and running, potential to cause injuries is high. To prevent this, we will film in safe and
easily accessible places. Stretching before filming scenes is also an option to prevent
pulling of muscles and other injuries. Damage to equipment may also be a risk with
replacement machinery costing a lot. Water damage is one of the main reasons of
equipment damage on sets so to prevent this from happening I will bring covers for all
the cameras and other equipment I need. They will also be placed off the floor to
insure they don’t get damp/dirty etc. When filming inside the last points won't be an
issue but during outside filming, we will have to be careful. The places we film outside
will remain unchanged after we leave out of respect.
Hinweis der Redaktion
You need to identify locations and plan a recce.
What are the limitations and risks, eg distance, access, cost, weather? How will you manage this?
What do you need? E.g. equipment, resources? Mostly from college, but who do you need to speak to get this kit? What is available? When?
Look at equipment hire places, etc
Where will you edit your video? Do you need any other specialist facilities…?
CREW: What is you team? Who is in it? What are each team members strengths/weaknesses? When are they available?
CAST: Do you need any external performers? When are they available? Cost implications? Will you have to feed them? Transport them?
Other personnel? Is anyone else helping you?
