2. Tekes is a public agency funding research,
development and innovation in Finland. Our main
focuses are small and medium enterprises who
seek growth and internationalisation.

Tekes is the innovation agency of the Ministry of
Employment and the Economy. We fund the innova-
tion part of Government’s Key Projects 2016–2017.
3. Objective of the campaign
We encourage companies to pilot the functionality on the threshold of commerciali-
sation, together with the customer, in the bio, cleantech and digital sectors.
Funding
We support planning of such pilots and demos with a grant, and implementation
with a R&D loan.
To whom?
SMEs, mid cap and large companies having developed innovative solutions.

4. Application deadline 13 May 2016 for Stage 1
Tekes’s campaign for piloting and demos has an offer for the planning stage and
another for the implementation.
Applications can be made to either one or the other:
Stage 1 Support (grant 50%) for developing of the piloting and demonstration capabilities and
for feasibility studies. Light and rapid evaluation.
Stage 2 Support (loan or in some cases grant) for the implementation of pilot and
demonstration projects and new business.
The campaign period for Stage 1 is 14 March to 13 May 2016.
Stage 2 applications are received continuously.
Consortia are encouraged to plan pilots, too. The support is meant for all the
companies who put manhours and costs to the planning. Consortia are given a later
deadline upon request.
