Senior Manager for Core Banking and Host Development Office
Isban US – Part of Santander Bank November 2015 - Current
Led a team of 11 people, both on-site and off-site, to manage the Host Development required for
Santander Bank. Successful creation of a delivery process using factories in Colombia, Mexico and
Spain. Achieved annualized savings of USD 250k.
Defined and implemented new processes for efficiencies within the Software Development Life Cycle.
It included standardization of workflows and complete certification of 3 new factories in 6 months.
Managed different programs in parallel, ensuring deadlines, budget commitments, resource allocation
and participation of all stakeholders, including business partners or other vendors.
Monitored and improved Service Level Agreements for critical technical processes, achieving 100% of
compliance, and all technical issues resolved within agreed contractual timeframes.

Senior Manager for Core Banking Applications
Isban US – Part of Santander Bank May 2012 – November 2015
Reporting to the Executive Director for Products and Services, led a team of 19 members in different
locations to manage key applications of the IT Core System:
o Master Data Repositories for Product Information and Reference Data.
o Customer Information Database.
o Deposit Accounts Platform both for Retail and Corporate customers.
o Tax Information for individuals and companies.
Successfully implemented all the software components of the IT Core system within the scope of the
team, following the SDLC process defined at the Enterprise level, contributing to it with best practices
in the Industry, and lessons learned from other international experiences.
Participated in a first analysis phase to ensure jointly with business owners compliance with local
regulations, as well as key user requirements.
Supported post-implementation phase, ensuring proper application management. Created a new
team for management of the day-to-day activities and incidences ensuring Resiliency, Maintenance
and Support.
Led improvements to the Core software, satisfying business needs in a fast-paced environment:
o Technical creation of disruptive banking products (extra20 account from Santander)
o Software solutions for regulatory problems – change in posting order of transactions to
comply with banking regulations.
Senior Manager for IT Transformation
Isban US – Part of Santander Bank November 2009 – May 2012
Reporting to the CEO of Isban US, led the effort for the conversion of the IT Core platform. Worked to
develop the foundational elements of Santander’s proprietary IT Platform to change not only systems,
but also processes around them.
Created and executed the strategy to change all the required software for Deposit Accounts,
Reference and Product Data and Asset Management to ensure business continuity, both from a
functionality and data standpoint.
Managed the team of developers building ETL processes, synchronization amongst different
databases and reporting capabilities to be exploited by business areas.
Migrated all relevant information to the new systems, including not only data for new business, but
also historical requirements to ensure a seamless conversion to the final user.
Worked with Operational teams to improve Data Quality of the information managed. Simplification of
the Customer Database, identifying and removing circa 20% duplicate customers previously in the
systems – around 1.5 million records impacted by the data hygiene exercise.
Participated in the end-to-end process of software development, including User Acceptance Testing,
controlled environments such a Model Office Testing and deployment to final Production stage.
Managed the required team, including staff and contractors. Joint responsibility with HR for the hiring,
firing and promotion of the team members.

IT Manager for International Implementation team

Managed the integration of Santander’s IT Core software foundational elements in 5 different Banks
part of Santander Group internationally : Abbey Business, Cahoot, Bradford & Bingley, Ge Money
UK, Alliance & Leicester
Led a multi-cultural team of 30 members, including individuals from Spain, Germany, Portugal and
UK, to coordinate the software development, deployment, and architectural decisions.
Oversaw project managers on-site in each of the locations, with a functional reporting line to ensure
success of the different projects.
Parallel execution of the deployment in Germany of the Core platform (SCF, GE Money, RBS),
construction of ETL and co-existences in Portugal with legacy systems and improvements in Spain
and UK.
IT Manager for Implementation and Development team
Isban UK – Part of Santander UK October 2004 – August 2007
Led the integration of legacy systems in Santander UK (formerly known as Abbey National) into
Santander Core platform.
Focused on management of a centralized Customer Database, rather than product-oriented
information. To accomplish that goal, 7 different systems were merged into 1, and 15% of the records
were de-duplicated as result of the unification – approximately 5 million records.
